I disagree with clubs ever using players or player uniforms for political message, even if it’s optional.
Sure players can opt out, but they will become targets of public criticism and harassement. In other words, the players will feel compelled even when its optional.
Curiously that’s the same thing the anti-Christian leftists say about living in the Bible Belt … they feel compelled to be a Christian.
How about we all live and let live … as our Constitution demands?

I’m pretty sure all the Dominican Republic players would prefer to identify themselves spiritually (Christian) rather than by skin color.
