Let’s leave to one side that Cleese is not the best judge of life in London, given he spent his early years in a posh public school in the south west of England and now spends much of his time in the Caribbean. Regardless, he has a point. And his detractors know he does.
So this woman pines for the days of ‘English-speaking Indian-owned mini-supermarkets’ and feels out of place around people speaking ‘Romanian and Polish,’ does she? This woman is probably the reason why the UK is in it’s current state. The mass importation of pakis and Indians (English speaking or not) was the beginning of all this. What elites and feces eaters like UnMe don’t seem to realize is that living amongst wealthy foreigners in sleek condominimums is much different than living amongst poor refugees and immigrants in blue collar neighbourhoods with community housing projects. Having successfully disarmed their populations (everywhere but the US, but are working hard on that) and controlling access to elected position, they are comfortable that they can impose their views with no real opposition, no matter how hard they push.
Unfortunately for them, they don’t understand that the people they arm to suppress the population are also members of that population, and that something as simple as a pointy stick can get you a gun from one of the elite, and that gun can get you 100 more.

I spent most of the 1990s working in London, and most of that time it was worth a daily commute forty minutes each way by m/bike (that’s typically almost two hours in a car) to not live within Greater London. There’s lots of London and the rest of the U.K. I would really like to visit but believe I never will because I expect to see so much that I am sickened just hearing about.
Do visit. While you can. There are still large areas unspoiled by ranting savages (although maybe visually spoiled by gigantic bird choppers). The bad stuff is almost all isolated to the large cities. Outside that, it’s still fine.
My solution to the London problem is called drastic by some. I am not so sure.
Basically: Build a 30′ wall around it, then fill it with boiling sulfuric acid.
You would lose a lot of iconic things, museums etc. But that is just the price.
