  1. How unfortunate for this child to have gone through this sad situation. The humans are to blame not the dog. Why don’t parents do their research about dogs and their nature before exposing their kids to the wrong kind of animal?

Now, perhaps, this is the type of dog (with ‘talent’) that should be considered for a household with children.
    See him in action:
(he has a name that is familiar)

  2. When someone attacks this dog, or perhaps even the owners of this dog, say just for example, they pull their arms off like a 6 years old boy pulls the legs of a spider, will they say in court that “they’ve never been aggressive before” and walk away like so many other hoodlums growing up in north Regina?

Because that’s what I’m seeing here. The owner says the dog’s never been aggressive before, as if I would care if “before” was a thing.

Is the child’s face as it was before? 1000 stitches sounds like a lot. Is the child’s face like it was “before” …

    1. ” Is the child’s face like it was “before” ”

The kid was fookin ugly and terrifying, maybe even possessed or infested with an alien parasite, for this animal to defend the surrounding humans.

  3. Deep inside, they still think it was the kid’s fault.
They always think that, despite their feigned sadness. And they’re secretly impressed at how “tough’ their dog is.
I suppose the ultimate responsibility lies with the parents, but I’m not going to shed tears over this thing being killed.

  4. This is the result of so called “good” intentions (“we’re so concerned for these dogs lives & welfare..blah blah blah) and its all for Profit. Personally I could care less if there are societies that eat dog or horse … Who the hell are we to say/do..anything..?

    In this case:
Pull the lisence – destroy the dog – Prosecute the owners.

(CAPTCHA on Steroids today or what..??)

  5. Akitas are like pit bulls and should be shot on sight. My dog was shredded a couple times by a neighbor’s Akita for hundreds in vet bills each time. I got a shot at it once but missed because it was too dark. When it killed my neighbor’s dog he finally killed it – on the owner’s doorstep. The judge must have known Akita’s because my neighbor was found not guilty of anything.

    1. Sounds like those dogs were pussies.
Why the Fuck was the Akita doing running free? And WHY THE FUCK would you shoot at a dog IN THE DARK! Kill many kids. or cows?
Something off on your story too much dumbassery to be truly believable. No cops, using a firearm in a public neighborhood, damn story just falls apart.
Finally, someone kills a dog and the owner doesn’t at least punish the neighbor by torching his car or giving a nice beatdown after dark. What kind of soap opera community do you live in? San Francisco?

      1. It was in the boonies, into a hill. Not the first time I’ve shot at night and likely not the last. The owner said Fluffy was always chained up. I suspect the police didn’t want to charge my neighbor with anything so charged him with a something akin to animal cruelty. No firearms charges.

      2. You would shoot at a dog in the dark or near dark for the reason that the opportunity and the cause to shoot it coincided with night. It’s the same with wild predators (e.g. coyotes, wolves) when they are a threat to livestock, pets, or people in rural areas.

      3. first step is let your eyes accustom to the dark.
then confine your shooting to familiar areas.
        etc etc.
dont approach my house shythead otherwise there may be some shooting in the dark when reliable witnesses are scant.

  6. Notice that this rescue is resisting the euthanasia order. Rescue has become canine virtue signalling gone mad.

  7. I expect the punishment in this case will be one hell of a lawsuit against A Passion for Paws Rescue Inc. and the employees responsible. I know if this was Florida, Morgan & Morgan or Dan Newlin would be all over this.

  8. It’s a measure of what the world has come to that I was relieved that the ad wasn’t from a “furry” fetishist looking for a child to molest.

As it is, pity that the only person here likely to suffer consequences from this is the child. As a result, she is the only one likely to learn anything from the experience.

(Honestly? It sounds like the little rotter was deliberately provoking the dog.

In the end it may come to pass that the dog did her a service. As an adult the girl is no longer likely to be able to use her good looks to get away with being an obnoxious dog like her mother.)

Reminder to only get a dog with a known pedigree (and predictable personality) from a reputable breeder—NEVER from a dodgy “rescue.”

It will cost a lot more time and money, yes. The dog breeder, like all labourers, is worthy of his hire—and nothing is more expensive than cheap labour.

    1. Can you not wait for her to become an adult before slagging her for being female? Could you entertain the possiblity that the dog was at least partly to blame if the dog was also female, or in a case of both the child and the dog being male?

  9. Still don’t know what happened. I know that a dog bit a child and that’s that. Both should have been supervised. Why was the child allowed to be with an unfamiliar unleashed dog with no adults between them?

P.S. Everyone calling for destruction of ANY breed is an idiot and a thug no different from idiots and thugs wetting their depends over assault riffles.

    1. How about you stay the f*** away from my backyard and you will not be attacked?

      1. How about you get a f**kin dog that can be controlled. You think a dog mauling a child is OK?

  10. Dog rescue, climate warming, socialism, mothers against drunk driving, peta, … Absent a rational religious belief system, absent God, people seek to fill the hole in their soul with whatever nonsensical, paradoxical crap they stumble upon.

God hardwired certain things into the human. Theses things cannot be denied. Enema666, unme, dizzy, this dog rescue organization, all examples of the same phenomena. An empty soul demanding to be filled, and people too stupid to fill it with rational things.
