  1. So far Canada,Switzerland, Britain, the Adirondacks and Russia are warming faster than the global average? Hm. Isn’t that alarming. When the rest of the world catches up, remind me to panic.

    1. Sweden also. Interestingly, they do not tell you how much things are warming– I suggest not much, so they must use sensationalism to get attention. Isn’t warming expected to be about 1 degree by the end of the century? I am amazed that anyone takes these fear mongers seriously.

  5. I live in Canada and I have noted that it’s getting cooler, not warmer. I look at my heating costs rising each year as we have more colder days and nights. The numbers don’t lie.

    If we’ve been having global warming for the past 20 years as the greenie lefty arseholes keep claiming, then why hasn’t my heating and energy use gone down over that two decade period. I am talking about usage, not increases in energy costs which we have also been enjoying.

    I recently checked and the ocean levels have not gone up AT ALL!

    1. Duke, beginning in 1999 I began doing 2-3 week motorcycle rides right after the tax season, usually on May 1. I used to leave at around 7 a.m. in my lightest air flow gear. A few years ago I pushed by departure date out to around mid-May at around 9-10 a.m.

      From this I concluded that it has been getting cooler every year since 1999. The climatisitas know this too which is why the great hoax was re-labeled from “global warming” to “climate change” when it became undeniable that the Co2 models failed.

    1. Alas, everywhere in the world is warming “faster than average.” The climate catastrophe cabal has jumped the whale shark.
      They’re the only ones who don’t know it. Canadians told “big polluters pay” find out the truth at the gas pumps.

      When thermometer readings are adjusted because that’s what scientists do (“homogenizing” data to meet their conclusions?) to “prove” warming, these fools should know their gig scam is up. But the money keeps coming in. Turn off the taps!

      Meanwhile, the CBC tries to convince us via loons like the Eurasia group that carbon taxes that increase the price of everything are good for the economy. As opposed to watermelons violent do-gooders blowing things up. This insanity must end.

      Remember carbon taxes are “revenue neutral,” because government intervention is free. Not in your endangered life.

    2. Start in 1948 conveniently removing the warm 1930’s from the equation. Similar to starting the Arctic ice satellite record in 1979 when the satellite record extends back to 1973. But 1973 had considerably less Arctic ice than 1979 so it would spoil the narrative. Scoundrels!

    In 1989 they said we had 10 years. I’m sure I’ve heard them (UN and their cult members) say that every year since then. We’ve only had 10 or 12 years left to get taxed into oblivion or we will all die for the last 3 decades.

A transfer of jobs from environmentally friendly nations (like Canada and the USA) to the nations that aren’t hindered by these encumberances (China, India, Saudi Arabia etc). And then we can’t forget about all the bureaucrats that are making well into the 6 figure range salaries and all the fringe benefits that go with that (flights all over the world to caviar dinners etc).

  28. I say there is no such thing as a true global average temperate. There is however a manufactured variety of this animal.
    To get a true global average temperature, you would need to get a simultaneous temperature reading at the exact same time and under the exact same reading situations from a multitude of equally spaced weather stations around the globe. Then you may possibly be able to compute an average global temperature.
    As I understand it now, there are relatively few stations globally – mostly on land near populated areas that provide the readings. I cannot see how satellite measurements can be blended in with land based measurements for this task without introducing major discrepancies that need to be ‘adjusted’.
    Then missing data is extropolated from the scarce actual data from the next nearest stations which may be multi kilometers away. Take this mix of actual and calculated data and run an average and this is what is reported. If the result looks wonky, then go back and redo the extropolations until you get the answer you are looking for.

    Think about it in terms of taking a digital photograph. A typical photo may be say 4000 pixels across and 3000 pixels down resulting in what is described as a 12 megapixel image. Each pixel or dot in the photo has a color and brightness value. Therefore it may be possible to calculate the average brightness of the photo by averaging the brightness values of all the pixels.
    But suppose your camera had a bad sensor and only 10% of the possible pixels were captured in the image, and they were in random locations in the image. Now you would first have great difficulty seeing the image, and your average brightness of the photo would be meaningless. This is where we are with our ‘global average’ temperature.

    I am not a scientist, but I have stayed at a Holiday Inn once.
