Last Wednesday, the Supreme Court of British Columbia (B.C.) ruled that a 14-year-old girl may undergo transgender hormone “treatments” to support her transgender identity as a boy — without her father’s consent. The court went so far as to threaten to penalize the father’s speech. If he calls his daughter a girl, that would constitute “family violence,” which would be punishable by law.

Serioudly though, where can I read the justification for this abhorent nonsense?

She’s a 14 year old! She’ll be allowed to vote next! Have sex with perverts!
I could have sworn the age of consent was 16, but the legal age to sign a contract on your own behalf is 18. For good reason. Children are neither emotionally nor intellectually capable of giving informed consent or being able to understand cause and effect beyond the immediate. This is evil and nauseating.
As far as I am concerned, the High Court (were they HIGH when making this ruling?) … as far as I am concerned … the Court just “emancipated” this girl. Put her into the Foster care system. Let the Nanny State take care of her. I might have done that should the CA Supreme Court have stripped me of my parental rights under identical circumstances. Thankfully, my daughter daydreamed of boys, not girls, and was happy with her natural plumbing. This ruling is sick. Soon, we will need public vomitoriums to cope with the madness.
When was the last time a father’s consent was insisted upon for any such lunacy?
Men—real men—are never asked to consent to any such lunacy. They just get blamed and forced to clean up the mess when it all ends in tears.

The Canadian Criminal Code says she is his dependent until she is 16. Nice sentiment though.
Courts have found that the law allows them to require the parent(s) to support the child past the age of majority so long as it is in full-time education.
Yeah kick the 14 year child to the curb. Let the Child Abduction Services take care of her. That’s the ticket. you’re not a parent are you?

They show exact opposite results than what is suggested by popular myths. Inquisition courts were among the most humane and scientific courts of their time. in particular they were much less likely to sentence anyone for witchcraft. When prisoners had an option they routinely asked for an inquisitor. Everyone at that time tortured, inquisition tortured less. Death sentence was common everywhere but less common among inquisition courts. etc etc etc.

It started with socialized health care. The state owns the citizenry and since they “pay” (after looting) the piper, they call the tune. I used to be a big opponent of elected judges. The last few years have convinced me that the election of judges, while fraught with its own problems, is by far the lesser of evils when it comes to deciding who makes up what is increasingly an unelected de facto oligarchy. At some point judges should have to answer to the people for their decisions.

Questioning leftist doctrine gets you brought up in front of a tribunal. Capitalism has been replaced by cronyism and soon outright socialism. Science is now a tool used by governments to increase tax revenue.

I too have been blessed to live my life in conditions the the Kings of England would have envied. Freedom, prosperity, and lack of want of almost anything. Certainly the exception to the rule of history. In the past, when things have turned dark, the pendulum would eventually swing back to enlightenment. I am afraid that tech and the unheard of powers of surveillance will prevent mankind from exiting the new dark age when it finally settles over all of us.
