  1. A Canadian is a Canadian is a Canadian is a Canadian is a Canadian….:

I’m sure Prinz Dummkopf and Baron Good-for-nothing-dale will ensure a safe return for her….. for the cost of, oh, maybe, $10 million. Yup, there’s not enough money to help out our wounded warriors but, no doubt, there’s a bottomless pit to keep our “refugees” happy.

    1. If you shut down the pipeline you do it for “safety” inspections. I mean BC wouldn’t want Alberta to ship oil on with out making sure it was 100% safe.

Or BC might wake up to find that Alberta is only shipping diluted bitumen and diesel. No gasoline.

      1. Well Joe if it were my decision, I would ship just straight dilbit, which would virtually shut down all their ferry services, trucking and deisel barge shipments to coastal communities.

  2. A CANADIAN LOVE STORY

    Dear Justin,

I never meant to hurt you. When I said I would be the AG, I meant that I would enforce the laws of the land. I never realized that there were these different laws that only applied to powerful people in Quebec. It was my fault for not finding out about all the laws and not just the ones in the big binders. My lawyers say I should just keep silent, in case I say the right thing. Well, there isn’t much chance of that happening. I don’t know what is right. Nobody does. Not even lawyers. I’m scared Justin. Those right wing extremists in their truck convoys, they scare me too. They want to move oil all over the land so white people can be supreme. What’s that going to do to the rest of the people, Justin? And the whales? Don’t they have a say? Yet you say build the pipeline, no, you say I’ll own a pipeline. Sometimes I don’t understand you at all, Justin. How can we own a pipeline when we don’t want to move oil? Is it maybe a pipeline that doesn’t work? Or is the oil just going to stay at one end and not go anywhere? Can’t we just bribe ourselves to deliver the oil? Maybe that’s where those SNC Lavalin people could do something useful. I don’t know, Justin, I just don’t understand the ways of the Ottawa tribe.

    Yours for now,

    Jody

    Dear Jody,

We are sending a team around to help you understand. Please let them in, Jody. They come in peace.

    Yours in feminism,

    Justin.

    1. REAL Power rests in the remnants of Power Corporation – Maurice Strongs gang – the Desmarais Family…To whom PM’s since Pierres time have Bent the Knee to. That dynamic will NEVER EVER change.

Why Alberta would williingly remain chained – milked in perpetuity by this Corupt Cabal remains a mystery to me. And as much as I believe Kenney will be the next premier of this province….he is part of that system as well.

I’ve not quite made up my mind made as to who gets my vote: Provincially or Federally.

    1. My argument? All the climate change prevention advocates continue to fly, continue to drive big SUVs, continue to live in big houses (in fact some have multiple houses).

Examples: Justin Turdeau, David Suzuki, Al Gore, Leo Dicaprio. Yes I know Leo has an electric car and a Prius, but then he rents a big diesel gulping yachts that spew out more CO2 than he saves with his eco-cars.

      1. “My argument? All the climate change prevention advocates continue to fly, continue to drive big SUVs, continue to live in big houses (in fact some have multiple houses).”

Exactly: their cognitive dissonance and hypocrisy are so revealing!

I take this a step further. Whenever I have to drive through Barrhaven (big Ottawa suburb) to get to this or that store, what do I see? Honking big SUVs everywhere, houses with two of them in almost every drive. And – as a quick walk through the Ottawa airport terminal quickly reveals – these people are regularly flying south to the Caribbean, Cuba, Florida and Mexico for a week in the sun right now.

I live out in the Ottawa Valley countryside. One neighbouring couple down my concession road is big into all the noise and woe of climate change but by last count they owned: two cars, one pick-up truck, a tractor (they are not farmers), two snowmobiles, an ATV and a motorbike. And more gas-powered tools than This Old House.

Climate change is all about posturing. None of the above seem the slightest bit committed to actually reducing their own footprints.

  3. Anyone wondering where Gerald Butts will find employment? I’m not sure what the rules are regarding employment insurance when you up and quit a job.

    1. Liz J, I am pretty sure he already got paid. He won’t have to work again, that is for the little people. Unless you are from Alberta, no work for you. Confederation is a FAILED EXPERIMENT.

      1. Oh for heaven’s sake! He is running the Federal Liberal Party’s campaign for re-election. By quitting the PMO, he cannot be accused of “conflict of interest”.

    2. Liz, good question we should ponder. Mr. Butts will not have to worry about future job prospects. He can score a gig with one of the many well-funded environmental giants. He would make an effective lobbyist, since he knows everyone in power. Or he can get a well-paid posting at one of the many international agencies. He must have developed good contacts with many of these. If Lavalin-gate does die down, which it could easily do, after the election Prime Minister Trudeau could appoint him to a well-funded patronage position, a la John McCallum.

    3. I doubt he is looking for a job. There is nothing to prevent him from doing consulting for Trudeau. He can do the same work without the title– or, if they put someone else in, that person becomes the go between. They would have to pay Butts, but I am sure they will figure that out.

    4. He will end up with some gaggle of eco-lunatics like Megan Leslie and Tzeporah Berman. Hell, if Notley wasn’t on her way out the door she would find a place for him.

    1. Well, if you actually want change, then you have to actually change your behavior. If you don’t want the same old politicians, you have to actually vote for different ones. If you don’t want the same old politics, then you have to change yours.

Or you can bitch and moan about “vote splitting”, and do the same things you have always done, but expect different results this time.

      1. That’s what a never-trumper says.

The best strategy if you are conservative is to vote for the most conservative option that can win.

        1. “the most conservative option that can win”

People have been trusting the CBC and the Toronto Star to tell them who can win since time immemorial. It’s worked out so well for you. Keep doing the same things you have always been doing, and keep expecting different results each time.

          1. It worked out great in the US. And it tore down the PC party of Canada and got stephen Harper a majority.

Your strategy never got anyone be elected ever.

        2. Oh. So, you voted strategically, you voted smart; and you got Trudeau. How did that “best strategy” thing work out for you? It failed the last time, but this time it will work for sure. Right?

      2. Vote splitting gave us Notley. Who was far worse than either of the PCs or Wildrose.

But if you are ok with a Notley then by all means vote your principles, and get the exact opposite of your principles. This should be considered when you vote.

        1. A vote for the Liberal: This will force the NDP to punt Jagoff when he loses. If NDP play their cards right, they could get an upsurge like Ford got for the Cons in Ontario – without the majority, Jesus Christ!
A vote for the NDP: Maybe Jughead can actually rally his neo-Marxist party with a seat in the House.

Either/Or means a strategic vote if you don’t mind washing your hands later and when the NDP do well, as they did in 2011, the Cons get in and this may slow the descent of Canadistan somewhat.

(A vote for the Con: If they got in, Juthtin wouldn’t know whether to shit or shine shoes so that would be funny.)

        2. Wow. Instead of an actual argument, you are trying fear to make people do what you say…

Notely, like Bob Rae, is the event that periodically and inevitably happens to remind people that bread lines are a feature of socialism, not a bug.

People are majority stupid. Look how they elected McGuinty and then Wynne, and how Bob Rae wasn’t that long ago. Bet you that Bob Rae could sweep Ontario again if he ran today. And the same people who voted for him the first time, and quickly regretted it, have already forgotten.

          1. Fear? I’m just reminding people votes have consequences. One thing I do not admire about conservatives, is they are prepared to tolerate extreme leftists coming to power, because a conservative-center politician does not meet all the conservatives “principles”. Now if you are ok with NDP getting power because you like for example Wild Rose policies and not PC policies, good for you. You have made an informed choice by voting, for example, for Wild Rose and help elect a party that is even further left than the party you disparaged. Which is OK as long as you realized what could happen. That’s not fear.

          1. And PMSH gave us an eight year time out with no lasting results(sans TFSA) that ultimately resulted in PM Jussie.

            Now that’s Reform.

Good job in George’s Opposite World.

          2. Pmsh did plenty- cut taxes and regs, tried to do senate reform, completely changed our foreign policy, got us on track to be debt free etc etc etc.

  4. And now the view from downtown Toronto on the Lavalin scandal. Heather Mallick at the Toronto Star says the whole affair is much ado about nothing. Trudeau is wonderful. Not like the Conservatives who she states would napalm children in provincial parks. We should all obey the Clerk of the Privy Council because he is wonderful. She blames the whole affair on the former AG who did a lousy job anyway. She should not have allowed the Chinese tech executive to be arrested. China is wonderful. And those yellow vest protesters are RACIST!!

    1. Yes of course, nothing to see here
Except the bit about a senior council at the Justice department criminal law section named Ann Sheppard.
Apparently when the part about DPA came up during review at the Finance Committee she claimed it was being brought in after consultations with many stake holders and not due to any particular case.
Another interesting factiod is that this piece of legislation would take effect 90 days after royal assent.
The budget was law on June 21, Trudeau met with JWR on Sept 17 which would be at the 90 day mark.
Lastly, during the committee meeting, when asked Sheppard stated that use of the DPA would be “up to the prosecutor” and that they would have “absolute discretion”.
Sounds like the underlings all did a CYA and the ones at the top didn’t take the time to read the law.
Its also well to consider that JWR may have had the part about who had absolute discretion unclear until perhaps someone pointed it out to her.
I suspect that if that was the case she may have found out after her conversation with the Sockmonkey on September 17 only later to find out from her chief of staff who had absolute discretion and that they may not be with the program.

    2. NOTHING will ever change in Librano Canada until the corrupt, partisan Media is addressed.

      Nothing.

Every single word you say here is a waste of breath until the corrupt, biased Canadian Media is addressed.

      Every one.

  5. An attempt to explain why there are no alien ships on the White House lawn. Not a bad read…

    https://www.popsci.com/where-are-aliens-new-model

    My favorite sentence…

“They’re smart folks and probably got the math right,” she wrote in an email, “whatever that means in the absence of any data.”

That is one of the best put downs I’ve read in awhile.

  6. CBC continues to interview people on the street in downtown Toronto regarding the Lavalin scandal. Because only people in downtown Toronto know what is best for the country No surprise that most of them think Trudeau is wonderful, and of course the women interviewed all thought he is wonderful. He is so handsome and cool, what more does Canada need?

    1. Toronto is a shithole sanctuary city. Might as well interview shithole dwellers who watch the Trudeau Propaganda Network aka the CBC.

    1. Next target? Girl Guides has to start allowing boys in, just like the Boy Scouts had to let girls in.

After that? Well, if “trans gender” people can crush women in sports, why not just straight up unapologetic men? No more women’s tee box, no more LPGA…

You are going to get all the equality you thought you wanted; good and hard.

  7. I have reasoned it out; the only way forward for the west, is another Trudeau majority.

Trudeau loses? That gives morons hope; “Oh look, Canada can be saved! We don’t have to separate anymore!”

Scheer wins? Can you see anything changing in any significant way?

Bernier wins? You think he will give back everything Quebec and the east has taken from us? You think he will get any pipelines built?

If you want Saskatchewan/Alberta out of confederation, if you believe that Canada is already a failed state; vote Trudeau. Out is the only way anything really changes. We get free, and we jettison everything; Trudeau’s charter, Canada’s legal system, Canada’s legal precedents, Canada’s gun controls, EVERYTHING.

Ontario, Quebec, the maritimes, they will never allow the west anything but wallet for their utopian dreams. We pay for everything, the current deal has worked out very well for them. Why would they want anything to change? Why would they allow anything to change?

    Let’s go through history.

Canadian Wheat Board; it only applied to the west. Ontario and Quebec farmers? They always enjoyed world price. CWB; sole marketer for Manitoba, Sask, AB, and parts of BC.

Crow rate; it benefitted only western farmers, so Canada got rid of it. Even though it was promised in perpetuity.

    National Energy Programs 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, …; they always benefit the east.

Winnipeg losing out on fighter maintenance.

SNC Lavalin, Bombardier, sponsorship, entitled to entitlements, “Screw the west, we’ll take the rest” Keith Davey, Chairman of the Liberals’ 1980 election campaign, …

  8. FREE SASKABERTA !!!!!
    CONfederation is a FAILURE!!!!
Money only flows east – STOP THE BLEEDING!!!!
Establish a New FREE REPUBLIC of SASKABERTA or we will ALL WITNESS THE DECLINE in Perpetuity as envisioned by Butts/Trudeau/CBC/LPOC to maintain their control over Alberta FOREVER!!!!!
    WAKE UP!!!!!!!

  9. Any bets Trudeau will testify? He probably has himself all booked up, maybe even out of the country. We’ll be lucky if Raybould can speak her “truth”.

  10. Just keep talking Sugar Tits:

    https://www.dailywire.com/news/43880/ocasio-cortez-people-maybe-shouldnt-reproduce-due-ryan-saavedra

“Our planet is going to hit disaster if we don’t turn this ship around and so it’s basically like, there’s a scientific consensus that the lives of children are going to be very difficult,” Ocasio-Cortez said while chopping up food in her kitchen during an Instagram live video. “And it does lead, I think, young people to have a legitimate question, you know, ‘Is it okay to still have children?'”

    Cupid Stunt.

      1. Oh she’s woke alright. And like a typical prognazi she will use any excuse to contribute towards the destruction of Western Civilization. The only question is whether she is doing it cynically or if she believes her own bull$hit?

      1. What could be her supper power?

I know! She will be a necromancer raising millennial zombies.
