And – as a quick walk through the Ottawa airport terminal quickly reveals – these people are regularly flying south to the Caribbean, Cuba, Florida and Mexico for a week in the sun right now.
I live out in the Ottawa Valley countryside. One neighbouring couple down my concession road is big into all the noise and woe of climate change but by last count they owned: two cars, one pick-up truck, a tractor (they are not farmers), two snowmobiles, an ATV and a motorbike. And more gas-powered tools than This Old House.
Climate change is all about posturing. None of the above seem the slightest bit committed to actually reducing their own footprints.

Lastly, during the committee meeting, when asked Sheppard stated that use of the DPA would be “up to the prosecutor” and that they would have “absolute discretion”.
Sounds like the underlings all did a CYA and the ones at the top didn’t take the time to read the law.
