Children are ipso facto ignorant in comparison to adults in both intellectual development and experience. This is merely a statement of fact. The original meaning of “Intellectual Quotient” was intellectual age divided by chronological age. (It means the average nine year old is considered to have the intellectual capacity of an eighteen year old with an IQ of 50.)
It is one of the more egregious tactics of the climate nazi to put ignorant children up to such nonsense. The correct response is in fact to pretend they understood the scientific arguments and answer accordingly. If that goes over their head, as it will, that only proves the old adage about children being seen but not heard.
Even though there is a certain schadenfreude to see the Chinese master spy Feinstein subjected to such treatment, the whole episode only demonstrates the moral and intellectual bankruptcy of the climate nazis, who put the children up to such nonsense.

As much as I loathe the woman’s policies, she didn’t do anything wrong. In fact, I think she handled the situation just fine.
She listened to the little darlings. They had come all the way, so it would have been bad manners not to, I don’t care who you are. She tried to explain what politics is about – trying to get things done, to some extent, and not just ‘virtue signal’. She tried to impress on the kids that it didn’t matter whether she voted for it or not, because that was just virtue signaling, although she didn’t use that specific term. When the kids started telling her what she ‘had to do’, she told them off. “Don’t tell me it’s your way, or the highway, I don’t respond to that”. Good for her.
And I give her marks for being patient in the face of the children’s bleating about “we only have 12 years”, and especially the sanctimonious face of the adult ‘leader’, who should be excoriated for her form of child abuse.
