  4. I see more ice area – but thinner. One could argue that this is a weakening of the ice mass and that it is breaking up and diffusing.

    We need more data both before and after these two years.

    So we have Andrew Scheer, owned by the dairy, and invisibility lobbies.
    We have Trudeau, owned by big green and the dairy lobby.
    We have Liz J, who won’t stop voting conservative for any reason (it’s the only way to stop Trudeau, dontcha know).
    We have Jagmeet, owned by big green and foreign interests.
    Elizabeth May, owned by foreign interests and big green.
    Scott Moe, owned by interests foreign to Saskatchewan.
    Notely: big green and interests foreign to Alberta.
    Horgan: big green and foreign interests.
    Palliser: seems to just wants to be invisible like Scheer.
    Ford… I do not actually know if he is owned by anyone, but I do not think he is willing to go as far for Ontario, as Horgan/Trudeau/Notely have for big green. And he has the dead weight of Toronto pulling him under regardless.

    When both Max and Scheer lose, because of the religious fanactics of the liberal and conservative parties, and the religious fanatics of socialism who will just always vote for increased misery, we can get back to enjoying the destruction of Canada.

    There are not enough people who are smart enough to simply change. We have reached majority stupid. Or majority political party as religion. Or whatever you want to call it. We are being taken down by the sunk cost fallacy; “I have donated so much to CPoC, volunteered so much time… I won’t give up now”. You are just throwing good money and time after bad.

    2. Until Western Canadians understand that Canada is a scam Democracy and that voting for any federal party hoping to better your position within the scam Democracy is a waste of time, they best keep a good supply of Vaseline.
      Canada is not a 1 man/woman 1 vote Democracy. Do the math friends. PEI has the population of a small town. 145,000 people but gets 4 mp’s. Alberta has 3.7M an gets 34 mp’s. Using 1 man 1 vote of equal value, Alberta alone should have 103 mp’s. Quebec and Atlantic Canada get an extra 15 mps just cuz they are special. They also get the bulk of all Western tax dollars. You can never improve your position within Canada by voting or supporting a Federal Party. If you think that you are just dumb. Until Provinces like Alberta elect someone, like a Trump who is not afraid to take the sledge hammer and make the point for their citizens it will never change. Alberta needs to elect someone who will educate Albertan’s, then call a binding referendum of Albertans asking that when any Ottawa Policy runs counter to the needs and wants of Albertans that the Premier of Alberta must call a binding vote to declare a Unilateral Declaration of Independence. And use this as a bargaining tool. It needs to be protected inside a Provincial Constitution and be binding on any elected Premier of Alberta. If the people of Alberta do not want a carbon tax and Ottawa persists then a binding referendum must be called on Leaving. If Ottawa insists on mass migration then a binding referendum must be called to seek permission to leave the Confederation. etc. If you participate in a con game like Canada you will always lose.

    It is interesting to note how all the variety and sundry of scientists (using the word loosely to the extreme) have come up with completely different conclusions directly opposed to one another.
    It is obvious that those that play the computer games come with the doomsday scenario, otherwise that would be the end of big payouts coming their way.
    Those that oppose them are not looked well by the media/political cartel that makes enormous cash supplied by the rich socialist aristocrats that want to change the world in their image since they have nothing else to do with their useless lives.
    These, the rich socialist aristocrats are not the makers of anything, they made money by slight of hand. They managed to extort the producers of wealth of management and proceeded to destroy industries, move the manufacturing to China where they work for cheap have endless supply of bodies to exploit.
    Somehow that does not bother the socialist extremists and rich socialist aristocrats in North America and Europe.
    How is it that it never comes up in the reports of the media cartel.
    How is it that the Liberals pay lip service at most.

  9. Not to be disrespectful to either side of the argument … but WHY are we “focusing on our navel” with such intensity? Really? Comparing sea ice from 2008-2019? Yeah, I understand, this is the time frame during which Climate “genius” (sic) Hansen predicted the “end of summer arctic ice”. But we have only had satellites measuring ice extent and thickness since 1997(??) … and yet we stare-at, and analyze, and scrutinize, every square inch of arctic sea ice as though our “findings” reveal ANYTHING about Climate, or Climate Change. Such a silly little timeframe reveals nothing about the Climate history of the Arctic. Smh

      4.3 Billion yrs I am told, is the age of our domicile….and in their Ultimate hubris “scientists” have taken the nano slice of some 50,000 years to predict Climate. WOW.

      Not only predict Climate but come up with a Trace gas (0.04%), as the Prime suspect of supposed Mass Planetary Change over the Next 11 Years. A time frame whose Goal Posts continually move forward as REAL Evidence never seems to parallel said dire predicions. A Gas that at times in our long ago past was shown to be @ 2000ppm and higher – and oddly enough, Life flourished. CO2 in the mid 90’s was ~ 390 ppm and when it went to 400ppm….heads Exploded. And we have paid ever since….

      How Sad that fully 60% of our NA population believes this nonsense as opposed to Looking in the early morning to see that Brilliant ball of plasma rising…aka The SUN. The one and only Driver of Climate. We can see with abundant clarity, looking at current Social Issues, that common sense has been completely abandoned in favour of a religious like BELIEF.

      I truly fear for my adult kids’ future. They’re Conservatives who think for themselves….a Seemingly dying breed of Human.

      2. Water vapor, a far more powerful “greenhouse” gas, is generally around 10,000 ppm. Or 1% to 1.5% of the atmosphere.

        They should have picked nitrogen as their boogeyman; it’s 700,000 ppm. Or 70% of the atmosphere.

The Ice was gone and the Vikings were there up until the 14-15th century.   10. I found this comment from Steven Fraser from “The Deplorable Science Blog” very informative on how today’s Arctic sea ice situation compares to data over the last 17 years:
    “DMI Sea Ice Volume report for Jan 22: Volume rose 95 cu km since yesterday, to 20,008, which is 98.77% of the day’s average value in the 17-year series, and 98.63% in the DMI-charted 10-year reference period 2004-2013.
    The day’s average growth in the 17-year series was 74 cu km, and for the reference period 69 cu km. Comparatively, the day’s growth this year was 128.22% and 137.83% of those values, respectively. 2018 picked up 21 cu km on the day’s 17-year average, and is now 250 cu km under it.
    The latent heat released in the formation of the new ice is 2.90518E+19 Joules, or 2.9052E+07 TeraJoules.
    The DMI Sea Ice Volume for the 2018/2019 growth season just passed the 20,000 cu km milestone, 1 day earlier than the average for the 16 ice growth season. The year to achieve the milestone earliest was 2004, 37 days before the average (December 16), and the latest was 2016/2017, 25 days after average (Feb 16).”

    So it looks like sea ice volume is looking pretty close to an average season with current sea ice growth rates high enough above average to take care of the small 250 cu km difference. A near future ice free Arctic at this point is looking as likely as Lexi Occasional Cortex not getting re-elected to a third term in Congress to save peoplekind because 12 years is all we got left.
