It is very cold in many places in Canada right now. It feels like minus 50 in Ottawa. Now would be a good time to offer free plane rides back to Nigeria to all those illegal border crossers.
It’s cold here in SW Iowa as well. Where’s Al Gore when you need him? Normally the cold, and ungenerous welfare distribution, is enough to filter the riffraff. But, unemployment is so low here they survive on subsistence employment living a dozen to a rental and driving shared 30 year old beaters uninsured and unlicensed. The bureaucracy in this county is extremely efficient so I can’t imagine how or where they register their vehicles. Greenhouses and meatpacking.

That festival was in honour of the time when the sun finally comes up for the first time after the winter solstice.

Ironically Justin is an Ontario boy, born in Ottawa.(But I know you know that dear reader) He moved to Montreal after Dada left politics, (but I know you know that too) what Justy is, is a Montreal snob. Everything outside of the greater Montreal area is known as “les régions.” It is sometimes said with a little snarl. The rich have delusions of grandeur because real estate is still cheap there after Réné Lévesque and others trashed the place and les Anglais left.
Of course all the cheap real estate has been gobbled up by Justy’s ‘fwends’ who escaped the dictatorship which he most admires because they have turned their economy around on a dime.
Notice how we don’t see him much in les régions. Let’s watch the next campaign very closely and compare him to Max. I looked up the name change for TransCanada as I’m a shareholder. What he said was actually a proposal and that has to be approved by the shareholders.
