  1. What a relief, no more snow tires, all that white stuff falling from the sky is imagination, just ignore it.

  2. Ironic thing about winter sports. You need lots of snow and cold, and then lots of fossil fuels to escape it.

    1. By-golly, I think you are right. Why isn’t Alberta cutting off their gas and gasoline ….. after all it is to save the Vancouver and Victoria from all their “carbon” pollution?

      1. Victoria could instead dry and burn their raw sewage instead of dumping it straight into the bay.

  3. Every gas station and heating fuel dealer in Whistler should take a winter vacation at the same time and let the people of Whistler know what it will be like if their mayor gets his way.

  4. ” . . . requests that the companies begin taking financial responsibility for the “climate-related harm caused in our community by your products.” ”

Simple solution, eliminate the harm by withdrawing the product from the community.

  5. Notice that Whistler did not ask coal companies to pay up. Nor did it ask Vancouver and Prince Rupert, which together exported 43 million tonnes of coal. That coal created 103 megatonnes of CO2.
Must be that new clean, green, Suzuki, eco-coal.

  6. 320 cm of that precipitation self-identifies as “rain” and plans to fully transition to liquid this spring.

  7. Big noisy whoop. Have they closed all the gas stations in the RMOW? Have they stopped all shipments of fuel and turned off the natural gas to the RMOW? No you say?

Then they do not really want pipelines, or to fight in any meaningful way. All they want is the APPEARANCE that they want pipelines. They are no different than Trudeau, Moe, Notely, Horgan, …

If they actually ever take the time to bloody anyone’s nose, wake me.

They claim to be in a war, but they will not fight.

  8. The leaders of Whistler Village don’t give a rat’s behind that they’re hypocritical.

They want a piece of the action – the money generated by the oil / gas industry – and they want it now and by any means necessary.

So, using their governing power, they will intimidate the oil / gas industry into giving them the money.

Ultimately, it’s not the oil / gas industry that will pay. It’s their customers who will ultimately pay, the people who rely on their products simply just to live.

But maybe that’s the point. Perhaps the leaders at Whistler Village have been students of the book “The Population Bomb”.

  9. Oh you guys! Haven’t you learned yet that this snow is WEATHER, not climate? It’s CLIMATE when it’s rain! You deniers don’t know squat! /sarc

  10. From the second link…
“The letter highlights Whistler’s concerns about the local impacts of climate change—more rain in the valley in the winter”.
They didn’t mention snow…does this mean the oil companies get a rebate?

  11. And he used to own a taxi company and now runs an online marketplace focused on the taxi, truck and limousine industry. Go figure. What a moron.

  12. N.CA has been having a VERY WET early rainy season …

This is what Jerry Brown’s “never-ending drought” looks like … it morphs into “EXTREME weather”. It’s when people who make bold, doomsdayer predictions … refuse to acknowledge their errors … that normal people identify them as LIARS. Global Warmists cum Climate Changers are LIARS. Nothing more. They ignore inconvenient science.
