  1. If you have this video running as a tab and read other threads I believe it sounds almost like a war zone even if there is not the sound of machine-gun chatter. That may be yet coming.

  2. Apparently, there’s a dress code at these things: “About 100 have been detained, many for possessing dangerous objects like fireworks or wearing clothing that could be used as protection in clashes with police.”

So, you aren’t allowed to defend yourself in any way from the forces of the Empire. Not even a protective cup, presumably.

Your captcha sucks, btw. The pictures are illegible, indistinct, and it goes on forever. What kind of robots are you used to dealing with?

        1. there would be little political change

I wouldn’t say that. The might not have been much change initially, but it eventually led to a number of European monarchies falling, the dissolution of Austria-Hungary, and the push for “responsible government” in Upper and Lower Canada.

Of course, it was around that time that a certain
German expatriate spent time in a library in London writing what would be published as Das Kapital….

          1. @10:59 am Dr. B A D Rupertslander,

My error is not using quotation marks… it should’ve read
“there would be little political change”, it is so written in the link, from Wikipedia. They took this liberty. Of course it is subject to discussion and interpretation. The political changes came much much later and it still evolving worldwide, whether we like it or not.

“There would be significant social and cultural change” as per the link. A truer statement.

Rightfully so, regardless, I stand corrected.

That said, I think Karl left his ‘mark’ and it is tearing the world apart because without Capitalism you can’t have Socialism. Thinking of Thatcher and other peoples’ $$.

            ( ‘Tay arrr th-o, th-o, toopid rrightt’!)

  3. From the most recent Fox News article, Macron, in Paris, has massed 8,000 police to confront only 5,000 protestors. A few of the protestors are black-clad anarchists, who are creating the violence and the police counter-violence. The Fox article said that the French media cartel are siding with Macron, and blame the violence on the yellow-vest side.

    1. The “anarchists” are agents provocateurs in the pay of the French Deep State.

The real Yellow Jackets want law and order restored in France. Their candidate to replace Macron is General Pierre de Villiers, Macron’s former military chief of staff, who resigned last year in protest over Macron’s plans to gut the French army.

  4. Yes, plenty of social media reports of Leftist Antifa type anarchists embedding themselves, never letting a good crisis go to waste.

*Can always watch CNN and the CBC fake news and simply invert their “truth” to find the truth – if you have a stomach to watch of course.

    1. I no longer watch CNN and CBC News, though I must pay for these dreadful “news” networks on my cable bill. We have a corrupt telecommunications industry.

      1. I have not watched any TV news in at least 10 years. I quit all newspaper subscriptions about the same time. I am now more well informed and awake than I have ever been before. When I see drones reading newspapers and watching news in hotel lobbies or airports I am always bemused at how controlled and enslaved they are.

That aside, I am hoping for violence and damage in Paris. Would love to see the Presidential Palace in flames. “Oh but you shouldn’t accept violence”, they say. “Nonsense”, I say. That is their means to keep you quiet. One needs the threat of violence to hold politicians accountable.

        1. Yes, I am hopelessly addicted to BNN News and NFL football. And my wife likes the reality shows and Animal Planet.

          1. Dave, BNN is owned by the scumbag Bloomberg. The National Felon’s League is a joke. One day you will regret the time and money you spent supporting these traitors. I quit watching both these shows years ago. Wasn’t hard at all. I could care less who wins the effing Superbowl as it does not affect my life and I revel in having control over my time and my life.

        2. I mainly watch movies on cable now. Everything else I can do without.

I used to be an avid PBS supporter, doing so for more than 30 years, but I let my membership lapse a year ago. There’s no point in donating money to a station that rarely shows something worth watching.

  5. AP Reporting (per Bloomberg) …

    4:10 p.m.

A march for the environment is unfolding peacefully in Paris and other cities in France, parallel to the violent “yellow vest” protests that have put much of the city in lockdown.

The “March for Climate” was a more diverse crowd, with far more women and older people and a handful of children. The “yellow vest” protests are overwhelmingly male, with just a few women for the hundreds of men pouring through the streets.

A handful of people in yellow vests had joined the quiet march by mid-afternoon. One sign read “No climate justice without fiscal and social justice.”

Climate “justice” and high taxes are “more-diverse” than Freedom and fiscal responsibility then? Good to know

    1. “No climate justice without fiscal and social justice.”

I agree. Let’s abandon all three idiotic ideas.

      1. Fiscal justice. Isn’t that what the yellow vests are marching for? Macron raises the price of diesel under a climate tax then hides behind 8,000 police when the poor start to protest. That seems exactly how the out-of-touch elite would react. Macron has probably never even had to balance a personal bank account.

  6. These people just want free stuff and someone else to pay for it. That’s all that’s going on here.

    1. You would know, right? By the way, your government dole comes early in December. Merry Christmas. And you’re welcome. 😉

    2. I just marked this date on my calendar. I agree with UnMe on point. That’s my concern, violence out of entitlement that muddies the waters for the coercive class to lord over us and cement their political power as they prepare us for serfdom.

    3. You know very well that there is more to it, but in your usual demagogic way you try to narrow it down to an autistic libertarian dimension. Not gonna work. Had it been just about free shit you’d be the first to defend them. It is about a way of life that that is being systematically dismantled by globalists and their turd world horde. It is about time for even the Fwench to wake up.

  7. Fwance is the highest taxed nation in Europe – maybe in the world?

The eurotrash have had enough and they’re taking the place apart. The EU will cease to exist in 5 years.

CAPTCHA is back! 8 pages? What are we trying to prove????

  8. Sad to see what is happening to this beautiful old city.

The last time I saw Paris. . .
Her heart was warm and gay. . .

Had a short visit here in 1989 on a business trip. Had a bit of time to wander around and see some of the sights.

No matter how they change her. . .
    I’ll remember her that way.

  9. Where next folks?? Germany?? UK/Brits after Brexit cluster?? Canada soon, one can only hope. Flames start as flickers, then grow, all it takes is a spark. Looks like Macron provided that. Overdue in the PC, disconnected world of “we know best, pay, be quiet, and eco activists” we have today. Not to mention Globalist UN that JT2 is angling for position in, and should be shut down totally.

  10. Lots of good songs written about Paree.
Edith Piaf and Josephine Baker had some classics.
And one should not forget the jayzee classic, niggas in paris…..
