What I can tell you about John Norris is that he has defended a number of terrorists and accused terrorists. In fact he seems to seek that out. A look at his website shows he acted as Omar Khadr’s lawyer in one lawsuit against the Canadian government and acted as an intervener in two other cases effectively supporting Khadr’s position.
He acted for Suresh Sriskandarajah, a man that pled guilty to terrorism charges for helping the Tamil Tigers. Norris acted for Raed Jaser, one of the men convicted in the Via Rail plot to blow up passenger trains above the Niagara Gorge. Other notable clients include Mahmoud Jaballah, Adil Charkoui, members of the Toronto 18 and more.
And now he’s your judge.
This is one of the most disgusting and blatantly anti-Canadian things that JT has done. And there is a very long list from which to choose.

In addition to the pro-terrorist, pro-Islamic Judges, our two nations are awash in eco-judges. Judges who demand the dumping of vital CA reservoirs to restore “natural” flows of fresh water into the Delta. As VDH said … decades of brilliant water planning, including water storage, and water transfer provided for California’s booming population has been sabotaged. A cadre of eco-judges installed throughout the State has, essentially, dismantled the systems built by their intellectual superiors. Our culture and society is being dumbed-down to third world status.

For the justice system to work, someone has to, and has to do a creditable job of it.
A lot of lawyers will shy away from the negative publicity, so once someone steps forward they are liable to get all of the similar work.
I would need to know a LOT more before deciding that this is someone I don’t want to see as a judge. Depending upon his motivation, he may very well be someone that I would definitely want to see in that role (assuming his motivation was seeing that justice was done by providing as good a defense as he could).
Junior Trudeau likes those who assist war criminality, especially if it is Islamic-based criminality. A few months ago, Trudeau defended bringing back Canadians fighting with ISIS. On camera, when he mentioned what ISIS had been doing, he smirked and gave a shrug, calling the ISIS war crimes “activities”. This small vignette showed the real Justin Trudeau: he simply supports the murderous war crimes that ISIS undertook, to the point of denying that the crimes occurred.
If Trump were serious about US security, this may be something that would cause a US president to close the border and recall diplomats.
