a) billions to buy carbon credits
b) billions for Canada’s share of the $100 billion a year that rich countries are now committed to pay less developed countries to “help them combat climate change”
so after the election the rebates will simply disappear into general revenue so Canada can pay the above. But hey Team Turdeau and the leftist media will not tell you this.
What you missed is that Trudeau in a visible act takes money out of your pocket directly, and gives that back to you after a quick washing through the bureaucracy, while at the same time, like a thief in the night, take money out of your pocket when businesses increase their prices to cover the compliance cost and fees involved in collecting and remitting the tax that is charged to “businesses”.

Someone needs to remind Turdeau et al (and labour unions) that pension funds own most of the shares in big business. So when you are taxing them, you essentially take money from pension funds.
