  2. The stupidity of the liberal voters knows no bounds. The liberal party brought in the cub reporter from the U.S.A and dropped her in a safe liberal riding to run in the election. The liberal sheep, fools that they are overwhelmingly gave her a large majority. We are now seeing the results of unqualified people running the government.

    In all his stump speeches Trump rails against Canada’s 295% dairy tariff. He will deliver to his voters. Or Canada can expect to be hit with that duty on autos.

    One would think that since SM dairy has being top topic in these trade talks since day one, SM Dairy would have made it to the floor for policy discussion at the CPC hugfest.. No so but relocating the embassy in Israel did.

    So now what will it be Andy…say good bye to 100,000 Ontario jobs or have dairy make concessions? Other Canadian farmers have to operate in the free marketplace. Why not dairy?

  6. Thank god we have Andrew Scheer waiting in the wings with some brilliant plan to save the Quebec dairy industry… We Westerners would be utterly dejected if we couldn’t prop up Quebec anymore.

    Seriously though, with National Leaders like Scheer, Trudeau, and What’s It’s Name of the NDP I think I am just going to turtle in a corner for the next couple of years. I like Canada…. really I do, but how in heaven did we manage to come up with the current batch of Federal Leaders… collectively they ALL make Canada come off like a bunch of woodchucks trying to deal with sharks.

  8. I was just watching the CBC comedy news hour . They can’t comprehend there is no nafta . Then they proceed to tell us all the things Trump is wrong on . Next they will be telling us how the people were sitting in the wrong seat on the Titanic !

  9. And let us not forget that the Americans do have the attitude that if they’re not winning, the other side is cheating. Remember the softwood lumber dispute which dragged out for years. The American attitude was that the Canadian way of handling the lumber resources amounted to an unfair subsidy, so they slapped tariffs on. Hurt a lot of small towns in B C. Also hurt Americans suspect mostly of the western or midwest sort) as made the building a house costlier, but doubt the American elites spared a thought about those living in “fly-over” country who saw their dream homes (and modest at that) become unaffordable.

      Unbelievably FOX NEWS announced that the Canadian negotiator, probably C. Freeland, just hurriedly left her vacation spot in Europe for the United States to ‘continue’ negotiating NAFTA. They said they have until Friday to reach a deal….this just minutes ago.

      1. I thought Concerned told us in Reader Tips at 1:29 that Freeland and Justin have Trump by the scrotum now, and now she is leaving Europe in a panic. Things change so fast these days.

          I watched the MTV late News and the lead story was Freeland was headed to the U.S. to negotiate the NAFTA deal. Period.
          The Mexican negotiator said that they will go at the deal with or with Canada. Said they had a good deal and things were on the up & up. Regarding car manufacturing everyone gets a minimum of $15/ hour. Nice. I guess Canada will have to relent on supply management if the USA has anything to say about it. We’ll see.
