It isn’t a highway. It isn’t a railroad.
Let them waste their summer squatting with the geese crap. Just don’t forget to water the lawn in the morning.
The original guy was there for like four months or something before they took it down, no one really knows or cares. These wing-nuts are just there now to take advantage of of Trudeau. If they can get a meet with him like ChickenBoneInSoupHairInCurlers did last year in Ottawa then that’s a win for them.

Not a pipeline either.
“To allow for a drunken celebration, instead of addressing issues of systemic racism and poverty is hugely problematic,” Pitawanakwat said.”
Isn’t that life on a reserve these days? Just ply the average indian with booze and let the liberal gov’t keep applying racist policies that call them victims.
However, if your point lance is to say just let them be – then I say, shut the hell up and enforce the law.
This whole thing called democracy only works if the law applies equally to all. The liberals are currently tearing up that contract, it simply cannot and will not end well.

As for the turdeau trip, just put him up in Hotel Pitawanakat – let him get to know the real canadians.

Which was my thought. Facepalm. At least that’s a stereotype that they probably wouldn’t like to discuss?
People are sick and tired of this protest everything crap…..
Amazing to me that people will vote for a group….that they would no more associate with than anything
Five teepees and one Chevy Silverado.
actually the teepees came from the tourist spot 50 clicks down the road.
‘tourist version’ teepees.
kinda like those Cdn souvenirs made in Chirer . . . .

How do you spell IRONY?
I agree. It appears to be a civil, non-aggressive protest that doesn’t seem to be bothering anyone to any great degree. I’d feel the same way if it was farmers protesting unfair policies or libertarians protesting against compelled speech. If they make a huge mess (Dakota pipeline camp) or harass people (anti-fa) then it becomes a problem.
To be honest, I’d love to see energy workers camp and protest on Parliament Hill in Ottawa to get the federal Liberal government’s attention. I’d even donate a pot to bang on.
Maybe a second energy workers protest at the docks where foreign oil is unloaded. Not because I’m against imports or free trade but because I think those middle eastern regimes are funding anti-Canadian oil campaigns and buying off central Canadian politicians.
If this anarchy is not stopped it will end up like the disaster in Caledonia, Ontario.
I suspect that, if Canada’s “Law Enforcement” were to get out of the way, Canadian citizens could deal with this swill rather quickly and effectively. And far more humanely than these alleged “First Nation” liars did to those who were here before them.
There was a recent column online from the “Leader Post”, a Saskatchewan newspaper, written by a retired social worker in his 80s, reminiscing about the 1960s “scoop” of native children, he wrote about the staggering tidal wave of alcohol drowning First Nations in the 1960s, he described babies frozen to the floor by their diapers, cars outside bars in -30 weather full of children with no heat and the windows completely frosted over , he says they weren’t scooping children, they were rescuing them, he ended with “this is my oral history and I stand by it”. I assume the kids will soon be testing in large numbers as impaired by THC as they exist in smoke clouds in their homes.
The retired social worker was NOT making this up, we saw it in towns near Reserves in Manitoba on many occasions. It was worse in the early 60’s because the government had recently cancelled interdiction, which made it illegal for Indians to have booze on Rez, a brilliant move by a shithead bureaucrat somewhere in the bowels of government.
Few people today will believe me, but prior to that era, most of the Indians were hard working people, working at the same jobs we did, making the same wages, but supplementing their income through hunting and trapping, just as we did, very few welfare bums among them.
I grew up, attended school, and lived among the Indians for the first 17 years of my life, from five different Reservations, can hardly remember any of them who didn’t “go Indian” when drunk. Never saw an Indian go apeshit on pot, on the contrary, any I saw smoking weed were relaxed and mellow.
This is interesting. I remember reading a book when I went to middle school, which was about a teacher who was sent to teach native children somewhere in Canada. There was this one sentence where, from the view of the teacher is described how in the middle of the winter she was given a native toddler that was sewn into its diaper, that stuck with me all these years. It said that sewing them into their diapers was common Native practice over the winter. I think it was a novel, but still.
I have allways wondered if that was made up or truth. Even ar that age it had me wondering because ANYONE can see how a baby sewn into a diaper for a whole winter is a recipe for disaster. Or not?
It is the official end to the rule of law; we now live under the rule of man. Whatever you do, from now on, it will be some bureaucrat who decides whether or not it is allowed, whether or not you will be punished, and what the punishment will be.
Police will decide who to arrest, and what crimes to ignore. Enjoy what you voted for.
The Province has to tell the City to enforce the Laws, or else funding gets cut. Simple as that.
These privileged people and their privileged race, should take their beef with government to the feds and not the province.
When venues now remark before an event about being treaty land such and such,,,,it should include a statement that the land was SURRENDERED ! because the way I here it being said now, infers they still have a claim to it.
If we’re basing privilege on who was here first, then it should matter who was here second, and who was here third, and etc…till who came lately.
Really, you have to feel sorry for them, Europeans took them from being Stone Age people, wandering around the prairies on foot, waring, raping and enslaving each other,,,, into the 18th century at the snap of the fingers. They never invented a wheel, they never invented a keystone, they never invent ironworks, they never invented a printing press because they hadn’t even invented a written language.
I’m very tired of these privileged people.
“These privileged people and their privileged race, should take their beef with government to the feds.”
The Alberta government is giving money to reserves for installing solar power. Does Red Rachel read the Constitution much? Apparently not. They don’t pay Alberta taxes and keep all oil money from their reserves.
Isn’t this type of behavior the reason why their kids left in the first place?
Do they crap at Starbucks… or on the floor at Tim Horton’s?
…. And it’s 4 tents. Four. Four in the pics and four in the tweet.
Maybe Ken’s brother Kevin can send some Moose and Jets players over to challenge them to some full contact field lacrosse, winner gets the park. Loser pays for their own ambulance.
They crave the attention they get from the news media their looking for the TV Cameras they want the world to pay attention to them just like at Standing Rock its LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME if the media ignored them they would soon go away
