The slow collapse of Illinois continues. The Chicago Fed proposes an additional annual property tax of 1% of percent of value on all properties to fund five state pensions. This would boost the average property tax in Illinois to 3.67%, 50% higher then the next highest U.S. state.
Not to mention that, if property values are devastated, property tax revenue will plummet, forcing further revenue grabs elsewhere.
If the Ontario Liberals and NDP coalesce to form the next government, this kind of thing might look worthwhile. Never underestimate the depravity of progressives desperate to rob from Peter to pay off their voter Paul.
There is a very good possibility of an Andrea Horwath minority government, with the far-left NDP propped up by the third-party Liberals. This nightmare scenario is being looked at my our politically-correct corporate media. The Star, CBC News and the Globe and Mail are all starting to boost Horwath now. Look for the corporate media to dtedge up more “scandals” against Ford in the coming weeks. They absolutely hate Ford.
I read about that yesterday and heard a program on it. The facts are, they will soon be bankrupt. When all the income is taxed and the property has been taken from the people to pay retired government workers, and no one is producing any wealth then you are toast.
