  3. If this “man” is such a “himbo”, one could be forgiven for wondering who the “men (and women) behind the curtain” / pulling the strings, may be.

    The concept of “wind-up toy” may also have some relevance.

    However, be careful wishing for “strong leadership”; you may just get it, good and hard and often.

Andrew Scheer is the epitome of milquetoast & his caucus don’t have the stones to punt him & get a better leader & policies. Conservative ones that will work. The LPOC wail about the future consequences of CO2 setting the planet on fire & rape us & the country with carbon taxes, & these doofus’ can’t even refute that BS, as BS, so actually laying out the consequences of poor economic policies isn’t in their ammo locker at all.           But there may not have been much that Harper et al could have done anyway. It was hard to shake the image of Duffy, and a substantial part of the electorate was (is) just like turdo la doo: shallow, stupid, silly, and in love with their selves.

    Harper made during his time in office).

  22. I watched him last Sunday at the podium giving a statement & taking reporters questions. This after his brief layover in Ottawa for his meeting with the BC & Alberta Premiers.
    He reads the scripted statement as if everyone is in grade 1, then takes the reporters questions. His answers dont make any sense and between the ummms and ahhhhs and gasp of breaths he actualy forgot & admitted that he forgot what he said when asked to repeat in french,
    So much so that the cbc reporter told him what he said so he could give an the answer to the question, but he rambled
    On I did not know if it was even the same.
    And the topper was ctv, cbc did not show any of the question portion on news cast only his smug statement.

    Trudeau just this past weekend compared Andrew Scheer to Stephen Harper.

    1. Harper always looked good to me. I suspect he looks good to many people who voted for Justin’s false campaign in 2015.

      By all means let’s regurgitate the false Grit statements, promises and assumptions about “what Canadians want.”

      By all means let’s look at Justin’s $80b and counting unnecessary deficits with nothing to show but higher interest payments, crowding out of business, particularly our birthright of natural resources, and closing Canada for business while blaming small business for his cronies’ excesses.

      By all means let’s look at how Harper got us through crises, oil crashes, wars and progressive demands for massive deficits.

      By all means let’s look at all that, Harper was able to balance the books without Chretien’s boomers booming, without $100/bbl+ oil prices, without the fake mediocracy, and mostly without statist “guidance.”

      Bring on the “comparisons.” Fool a voter once, shame on them; fool a voter twice, shame on the voter.

      1. Harper was exceptionally capable. Unfortunately, the elites,especially in Toronto did not like him. It is astonishing that any intelligent people would have ousted Harper for a simpleton like Justin. I think we are seeing the price we must pay for this as the economy tanks, Western alienation kicks in and oppressive policies (M103, being pro-abortion to get funding, CO2 tax, etc.) emerge. Too bad, Canada, but you have only yourselves to blame. I think some of the elites did not like Harper because he was smarter than them — same with Jordon Peterson, but that is another topic.

    1. bassturds are emotionalizing the debate, and that is how they beet Harper. Every damn idiot who didn’t like Harper gave me an emotional reason. Not one policy complaint, and that was mostly from centrists and CINOs. Harper made some mistakes as far as I was concerned, but not enough to vote against him. Problem for cons is that most swivel sevants are lobbies and they are emotionalists, and bitch and complain when you ask them to actually WORK.

  26. Notice the photo he is signing and some blank papers are pretty much all that is on his desk. He does not seem to be a particularly busy person for being a Prime Minister.
