    1. It should be obvious that Trudeau’s role is to be the front man. Harper spent many hours studying issues and was knowledable on every file. Trudeau is given talking points. He knows nothing. He never spent time as leader of the Opposition, and his background is exceptionally weak. Policies are handed to him by the UN. Butts is the go-between. His tenure is a disaster for Canada and Canadians have been very foolish to give the Liberals a majority.

      1. Well, the pipeline debacle could be the backbreaker. If all he does is continue uttering pithy words and slogans, without any actions (financial, political, or……..military), he will appear to be someone who can’t get it done, along with plenty of media clips of him saying that it will get built, etc, played over and over in the next campaign.
Even his handlers understand that Kanuckistan needs domestic and foreign investment continually, which is currently in steep decline.
Yes, this really is his critical issue, is he a decisive, national leader to enforce Canadian law and authority, or an indifferent putz, a caricature which we have constantly portrayed him as, which really isnt far from true, but would greatly injure his image nationally, if the pipeline project is cancelled.
Time for Mr Feminist to grow a pair, and grow up, the fashion show is over!

  2. The absolutley disgraceful attack on Syria just so happened to occur on the day the US IG report on ex-director of the FBI, McCabe, came out. What a distraction.

Should we call this “McCabe’s War”?

    1. Ya. Like Obama he should have said, well, I’m drawing another line and if you cross it this time I’m REALLY gonna do something. Yes, REALLY FOR SURE.HONEST.

  3. Buddy
Just curious any comparison numbers as to first 3 yrs of PM Stephen Harper, mind you he had minority govt in that time
And I do recall when he took his kids to hockey games he paid for them.
So another comparison when he had majority.

  4. There’s nothing like making a few more million illiterate “refugees” to flood western streets to take advantage of our ‘free’ welfare and healthcare systems.

If our intellectual betters weren’t so stupid, we’d have to assume that they were doing this to us on purpose.

  5. “The absolutely disgraceful attack on Syria”

I don’t think it was disgraceful at all. It sent a message to Assad and to the West: “I don’t just draw lines in the sand”, and one to Putin: “Your nuclear sabre-rattling ain’t fooling anyone, Potemkin.”

  6. There is an irony to the Kinder Morgan issue.
It’s that this problem was created by the current occupant of the PMO and regardless whether he invokes the rule of law to get it built, allows it to be scuttled, or uses this as a way to nationalize as his dear ol dad did with a reboot of the NEP , there is no political pay off for him. All his options available require him to be the “bad guy”.
Thusly because it’s a role he has consistently attempted to cast PMSH into it’s the one that could permanently eradicate any legitimacy to the Trudeau’s base supporters as juthtin=nice guy.
That being said the only option to the ones with buyers remorse is to find someone to blame for giving Juthtin the bad advise that got him into this pickle. Which makes it really convenient for liberals if the mistakes can be attributed to bad advise. But then Juthtin would have to throw one or two very close advisors under the bus to allow that narrative to take hold.
Btw anyone heard from Gerald Butts lately?

  7. It would seem “sex” and “sexual harassment” are everywhere these days. Under the heading of “Say it ain’t so Joe”:

“A row has erupted within the secretive committee that awards the Nobel Prize in Literature over sexual harassment allegations…..”

    https://www.reuters.com/article/us-sweden-academy-explainer/nobel-prize-awarding-swedish-academy-weighs-reforms-after-controversy-idUSKBN1HK2CG

But then again, Barrack Obama got the Nobel Peace Prize for simply being elected so perhaps the Nobel Prizes are not quite as prestigious as before.

  8. From review of Ronald Kessler’s In the President’s Secret Service, Behind the scenes with agents in the line of fire and the Presidents they protect:
    How they viewed-
    Kennedy- philanderer
    Johnson- asshole
    Nixon- paranoid
    Ford- gentleman
    Carter- complete phoney
    Reagan- moral, honest, respectful, dignified
    Clintons- untrustworthy, phoney
    Gore- egotistical ass
    The Bushes- considerate, respectful.

But best of all, the Obamas-
Clinton all over again – hates the military and looks down on the Secret Service. He is egotistical and cunning. He looks you in the eye and appears to agree with you but turns around and does the opposite. He has temper tantrums. She is a complete bitch who basically hates anybody who is not black, hates the military and looks at the Secret Service as servants.

A ‘TRUE STORY ABOUT’ General McChrystal’s resignation in Obama’s office from General McChrystal’s book! NEVER STAND IN LINE AGAIN. Some men carry and handle their diplomacy better than others. When former U.S. Military commander in Afghanistan, General McChrystal, was called into the Oval Office by Barack Obama, he knew things weren’t going to go well when the President accused him of not supporting him in his political role as President. “It’s not my job to support you as a politician, Mr. President, it’s my job to support you as Commander-in-Chief,” McChrystal replied, and he handed Obama his resignation. Not satisfied with accepting McChrystal’s resignation, the President made a cheap parting shot. “I bet when I die you’ll be happy to piss on my grave.” The General saluted and said, “Mr. President, I always told myself after leaving the Army I’d never stand in line again.”

  9. I live in grey/bruce ontario, since 6am its rained, then freeze rain, then ice pellets, now blowing snow accum. Up to 25cm

      1. “$1.40 in beautiful Victoria BC.”

After consulting my home AI, that’s $4.20 U.S. dollars/gallon ($1.11 U.S./liter at current exchange rate). Wow! That even bets California @ $3.54 U.S/gallon…….highest in U.S. My sympathy. (so unnecessary too).

        1. $5.31 per US gallon in $US, $6.68 per US gallon in $C.
$6.37 per imperial gallon in $US, $8.02 per imperial gallon in $C.

Thank you for your sympathies; yes so unnecessary except for the need for big (or is it good?) government.

Big government has never been, isn’t and never will be good government.

Martin Sellner and Abel Bodi stopped at Stansted en route to far-right event in London”

“Two prominent anti-Muslim campaigners have been denied entry into the UK ahead of a conference held by Britain’s newest and most active far-right group.

Martin Sellner, from Austria, and the Hungarian Abel Bodi were due to attend the private Generation Identity conference in London on Saturday. They were detained at Stansted airport – the second time in a month that Sellner, the leader of Generation Identity, has been prevented from entering the UK by border officials.”

“A Higher Loyalty” – Comey Used Presidential Polls to Decide Whether or Not Hillary Was Innocent in Email Probe

    Principled Leadership.

Fired FBI Chief James Comey writes in his new book “A Higher Loyalty” that he let presidential polls determine how he decided that Crooked Hillary was innocent of crimes in the FBI criminal probe.

    Vox reported:

In his new book A Higher Loyalty, former FBI Director James Comey admits what most observers had inferred: that the overwhelming conventional wisdom that Hillary Clinton was going to win on Election Day played a role in his fateful decision to refocus the campaign on the email matter in late October.

“It is entirely possible,” Comey writes, “that because I was making decisions in an environment where Hillary Clinton was sure to be the next president, my concern about making her an illegitimate president by concealing the restarted investigation bore greater weight than it would have if the election appeared closer or if Donald Trump were ahead in all polls. But I don’t know.”

Once again, Trump was right for firing this buffoon.”

    1. Comey as Tupolev (Capt of sub hunting Red October, eventually killed by his own arrogance, metaphor for the USSR?):

Political Officer Ivan Putin : “He (Capt Tupolev) was your student. It is rumoured that he has a special place in his heart for you.”

Captain Ramius : “There is little room in Tupolev’s heart for anyone but Tupolev.”

Comey is in it for Comey, no room in is political heart for others. He won’t be killed by is own torpedo, but his own arrogance.

Interchangeable with Tupolev as analogy for Dems killed by their own arrogance:

Tupolev’s first officer tries to warn him that they’re too close and the torpedoes will be armed in the tubes, but Tupolev orders him to fire anyway. The U.S. submarine Dallas maneuvers to draw away the torpedoes so they target the Konovalov. Just before the torpedoes hit, Tupolev’s first officer tells him “You arrogant ass. You’ve killed us.”

A moisture laden low pressure area over the Central Plains States will amble towards the lower Great Lakes this weekend. As the low approaches, brisk northeasterly winds will pump in cold Arctic air, forcing temperatures below freezing this morning.”

“In a gruesome protest against the ecological destruction of the earth, David Buckel, 60, left behind a charred corpse and a typed suicide note that said he was burning himself to death using “fossil fuel” to reflect how mankind was likewise killing itself, police sources said.

He left the note behind in a manila envelope marked “To The Police,” recovered from inside a black metal push cart he discarded at the scene.”

“Quebec warns Trudeau about Kinder Morgan”

“Quebec’s Canadian relations minister has penned a letter warning Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government to tread carefully around its approach to Kinder Morgan’s Trans Mountain expansion project.

In the letter, published on Saturday in Montreal daily, La Presse, Jean-Marc Fournier suggested that Quebec would never accept a project if the federal government tried to ram it down the province’s throat as it now appears to be doing in British Columbia.

“The recent statements made by federal representatives regarding the Trans Mountain pipeline, evoking the explicit application of federal rules don’t help resolve this file and they are concerning for the future,” wrote Fournier, a veteran politician who has previously worked as a high-ranking political advisor to the federal Liberals.

Fournier said the current federal position encourages companies to “ignore provincial environmental regulations” that have been established to protect the public and those affected by industrial projects.

Even though interprovincial pipelines fall under federal jurisdiction, the Quebec minister in Premier Philippe Couillard’s Liberal government, said that Trudeau’s approach was running counter to cooperative federalism.”
