  1. Easy to suggest to a racial or other identity minority group that the general success of white majorities in economic other measures is due to them having political power. The idea that if they can get political power the rest will follow is attractive as a short cut to solving their problems.
    Not so attractive is the suggestion that whites have political power in majority white societies because they are successful in economic and other measures first, political influence and power is theirs because of that. And the reality is that whites in office cause problems for white societies – in any society, is there ever a shortage of people complaining that the government is more of a burden than a help, that it screws things up?
    Individual politicians or political parties whose chief appeal to their electors is that they will fix their problems risk doing themselves out of a job if they actually deliver on their promises. Fortunately for them, the risk is not very high because in most cases, neither political power nor government authority can solve problems.

    Oh … and yeah … the ONLY rule of life applies equally to all races. Economics. Economics IS survival of the species. Survival of families. Survival of individuals.

  4. The Baltimore example is appropriate.. The previous Mayor was fired for stealing gift CARDS (given to the city by businesses meant for the poor) It suggests the City of Baltimore has no real money (Nobody pays taxes), they are operating with State money..The only cash economics is street crime, drugs & prostitution keep cash flowing….. A third world shit-hole like Chicago & Philadelphia…
    It’s not just a black problem…. The Money flowing to solve racial issues falls off the Truck into the hands of greedy Whites… Drug cartels
    are bankrolling white leadership….The swamp is everywhere

  5. You’re spot on. As a Canadian who has lived in America for the past 4 years, I often explain to Americans that Aboriginals in Canada are closely similar to Blacks in America. In both cases, members of each group have been repeatedly told by people on the Left: “Oh poor you, you’re not capable of competing with the rest of us so we will give you endless amounts of subsistence welfare so you won’t have to.”
    A few months ago a transplanted New Yorker, a musician, said to me over a coffee in San Francisco: “How do you deal with your White Guilt?” I went off on him big time, asking him if he remotely understood the enormous damage he was doing to African American children and teenagers. Though I got mostly a stunned silence, I don’t think anyone had ever “dared” to say such a thing to him before.

    I’m white and I’m not guilty. I had no choice in the matter of what race I was born into, so it’s neither an achievement of which I can be proud nor a failing for which I can feel ashamed. I wasn’t in charge of anything in the history of “race relations” so it’s neither my fault nor to my credit. I didn’t do the things the my ancestors are accused of and I didn’t suffer the things they suffered, so I don’t apologise for the former nor ask for any compensation for the latter.

  8. On the contrary, it’s quite clear that blacks in positions of power are proving just as altruistic, generous, conscientious, selfless and caring as whites in power.
    To quote Oscar Wilde:

  10. My white privilege was earned sitting on an outhouse seat after dark at 40 below. The lesson I was taught was to get my ass off the farm and get an education. Other than my parents helping me through school, nobody ever did me any favours on my way up the ladder. I was on my own.

  11. Years ago the military did a study of IQ and recruit performance. The studies showed that the break point seemed to come at IQ 93. Below that, the recruits were unable to follow instructions, and became a liability because they would essentially need babysitting to perform.
    The average black IQ in America is 85. Mohammed Ali had an IQ of 79, which is considered mild mental retardation in whites. Sub-Saharan blacks have an average IQ of 65. By the numbers, 40% of blacks in America are functionally retarded.
    Some have started howling about racist IQ studies. Use another metric then: SAT scores? Incarceration stats? Blacks come in last every time. It’s time to call a spade – a spade.
    Or we can be politically correct and blame white liberals. I don’t like it either – but it is what it is.

The point missed is that regardless of one’s race or other attribute, there is a huge difference between so called “leadership” and true leaders, and there are damn few of the latter of any stripe in any organization. There are, on the other hand, particularly in politics, a glut of opportunists masquerading as “leaders”.

  13. Po’ folks are always willing to believe that “sumbudy gon’ save my ayuss”, but they never give a thought to improving their own lives.
    A good example is Vancouver’s Downtown east Side,the poorest area in Canada,where Libby Davies and her city Councillor partner Bruce Erickson advocated for the po’ for years.Erickson sponged off the taxpayers at the city level,then Libby ran for MP and won,thus making all Canadian taxpayers foot her bills.
    They were famous activists for many years,organized protests and marches,did very well for themselves,but never improved the lives of anyone except those that joined their activism bandwagon to sponge off the taxpayers even more. Look up the DES any time on gloogley,still the poorest urban area in Canada.
    That’s the problem with “the poor” anywhere,they yearn for a savior while sitting on their welfare asses bitching about social justice.
    To get out of the shithole,WORK HARD,that’s all it takes.

  14. What helped ruin Atlantic Canada? 10 weeks of work – 2 week wait – 40 weeks benefits. And the 10 week job was likely a provincially subsidized rotating make-work job. The people are now so useless and entitled that no real company would ever invest there.

  15. You’re right. It seems to be a black hole for investors. Bricklin was one example, though I’m sure the company management had a lot to do with it. And then there was the white elephant heavy water plant in Port Hawkesbury, which never seemed to run right no matter what was done.

My grandparents and my wife’s grandparents came to this country with a clutch of children, some of the older ones could work immediately, in the 1920s and didn’t know a word of English. They never took a dime of public money, ever, and no public housing either. They learned English and all got busy working. Little by little, with hard work and good finance management, they and their children pulled themselves up. Still none are on welfare.
    This thread ties in with the San Francisco thread above in that no matter what, the left makes use of the poor, lies to them about free lunches, utopia around the corner if they support the left, but everything the left touches turns to crap. Witness all the examples, city after city.

    ah now look, 6 kids with post secondary of some sort, ALL 7 had independent business/SELF employed @ some time. etc etc.

No matter how much the left lies and promises utopia, Christ’s words will remain true. The Soviet Union created equality of poverty, except for those more equal than others.

  20. Blacks came to NA as slaves. Their labor was valuable and was exploited. When slavery was abolished many had developed the skills necessary to join the labor force, farm or otherwise fend for themselves. They became rooted in the working class.
    The NA Indian had no such experience. Prior to contact they had neither the economic skill to develop and exploit resources or the technology to do so. They did not turn resources into commodities and therefore nothing of value was taken from them when others did develop the resource.
    They had a brief voluntary brush with capitalism during the fur trade as the trade offered products they very much desired. They had a subsistence existence with a total lack of economic activity. Their labour was not exploited like black labor.
