[Jonathan] Haidt and his colleagues… sought to discover how well conservative and what Haidt terms ‘liberal’ (i.e., progressive) students understood one another by having them answer moral questions as they thought their political opponents would answer them. “The results were clear and consistent,” remarks Haidt.
“In all analyses, conservatives were more accurate than liberals.” Asked to think the way a liberal thinks, conservatives answered moral questions just as the liberal would answer them, but liberal students were unable to do the reverse… Haidt and his colleagues found that progressives don’t understand conservatives the way conservatives understand progressives… and it goes a long way in explaining the different ways each side deals with opinions unlike their own.
People get angry at what they don’t understand, and an all-progressive education ensures that they don’t understand.
Perhaps this explains, partially, the last federal election in the USA, with the voters in the rust belt & upper great lakes area and as well,,,,kalifornia
– or as Charles Krauthammer put it, “Conservatives think Liberals are stupid. Liberals think Conservatives are evil.”
What’s going on in universities proves that “liberal arts education teaches people critical thinking skills and makes you a well-rounded person” is not true, and hasn’t been true for many decades. Listen to the protesters and SJWs, they barely think ar debate at all. Why do they need to? They’ve been taught at university that saying sacred phrases over and over like incantations makes opposing arguments magically disappear.

You’re a racist, alt-right, nazi, sexist etc.
I’m missing a few but there’s about 10 magical phrases that SJWs are taught to memorize and repeat (scream and chant, really). They appear incapable of forming independent, coherent thoughts or the ability to debate beyond those phrases.
I suspect it’s only a matter of time before the Church of Progressive has it’s own confession booths. Instead of Father Joe and Hail Mary’s, it’ll be:
“Forgive me, zir, for I have offended. I microagressed another and coveted their superior victimhood”
“Say fifteen ‘stay in your lane’ mantras and three ‘check your privlege’ checklists. All will be forgiven.”
This makes a lot of sense considering how angry and violent SJWs get when their world view is challenged.
That’s what a collective does. It adamantly refuses to look in the mirror, so to speak, and ask questions about itself.
That’s why collectives such as communism (i.e., progressivism) don’t want God around because he acts, at the very least, as a mirror to their lives.

And, by the way, spoken criticism of the “prophet of Islam” is considered slander, meaning that Mr. Obama is AGAINST free speech because it could slander the “prophet of Islam”.

I saw the origins of this when I started teaching nearly 30 years ago.
Many of my students were fresh out of high school and often graduated with high grades. After they started my courses, they found out that they didn’t know as much as they were told they did. (Many were lousy at fundamentals such as basic algebra and trigonometry, things that I learned–and was expected to know–when I was in school.)
They didn’t like that I challenged their perceptions of themselves as geniuses, though I didn’t set out to do that. I merely expected them to know the same things I did when I was their age. Naturally, they started complaining that I was being “mean” or some such twaddle. Some of them even tried petitioning the department head at the time to have me fired.
Certain colleagues tended to side with them, though. That meant that I frequently found myself being pressured to guard their fragile egos lest they find out that the real world really couldn’t care less about their feelings and actually expected them to earn their keep.
Ah yes the exclusive politics of inclusion. I got a taste of the mansplaining BS recently, but it opened my eyes.
We cannot fall for this Leninist discouragement of society via Marxism/progressivism and PC/Critical Theory groupthink garbage.
Big business; big labour; big government. They tell us they’re smarter than us so must rule. No, they’re just greedier than we are.
Marx had zero understanding of human nature; time and time again he proved it. He misunderstood the massive rises in standards of living via the industrial revolution, which created the middle class, which built civil society up, who created a society bounded by liberty. No some fool looking the place over from 30,000 feet will make better decisions. Indoctrination is essential to their cause with their ideas ungrounded. Coercion is inevitable.
It is inevitable. Every solution becomes a tax and more interventionism. Is big government good government? Our apathy is deadly.
They are identity fascists. They’re not interested in your viewpoint, these are narcissistic reactonaries, your argument is unheard.
Divide and conquer is their mode; it serves their elites to enable lordship over us, so its contradictions are ignored.
Why, because argument has nothing to do with it. We keep playing by the old rules of debate & law, only to be talked over or cliché ridiculed.
So I’ve decided act in kind; because leftistm, particularly radical sects like collective feminism, are malignant ideologies.
I don’t debate that, I seek to remove it from our public sphere and excise it from our political culture, where it is a usurper, via Papa Doc PET.

The results of this experiment are entirely predictable. Conservatives have been taught, trained, and forced to be “progressive” since birth. Of course we know EXACTLY how “progressives think” … and we’ve rejected that self-delusion. We have educated ourselves in ways the lambs of the Left haven’t. We have learned history, we understand math, science, and human nature. We tend to be believers (with some NME’s among us). We are far more we’ll-rounded in our understanding of the world than the snowflake generation.
Think of it like diet. We conservatives eat the “French Paradox”. we eat everything. (consume information). The “progressives” are on a steady diet of kale. Kale salad, kale soup, fried kale, kale dumplings, baked kale, kale cookies. They only know ONE thing, and believe it’s the ONLY thing. It’s not.
I’m actually more cynical than pessimistic. Besides, if you look at SJW identitarians from a humor angle, they’re quite funny. Other than cults, I’ve never seen a group so blind to their ridiculousness. From new real peer review highlighting their bizarre research, to their redefinition of words to mean the exact opposite of the true meaning (free speech,justice, racism, human rights), the circular reasoning, self-flattery, complete hypocrisy…it never ends. They make satire impossible.
I’d love to live long enough to read what is said about SJW identitarians once this hysteria has passed. They think they’ll be admired as the new civil rights champions but I’d bet they’ll be ridiculed as spoiled monsters who attempted to circumvent real human progress. Real progress is protection of individual rights and universal human rights not rewards and punishment based on an imposed group affiliation. They are cultural evolution and human progress dead-enders. A malignant, degenerate mutation.
