The Nunes memo has been declassified and sent back to Capitol Hill for release.
Catherine Herridge (Fox) is reporting that the Clinton-DNC funded Trump dossier was the basis of the FISA warrant, while being shopped to media outlets, whose circular reporting was used by the FBI to lend weight to the same dossier… Intelligence Committee is expected to have the document available to the public in coming hours via their website.

The FBI did not pay money towards it. It was a component of their investigation. It should be noted that it was actually a republican that got the whole Steele dossier rolling in the first place.

This Nunes 4-page FISA memo is like the 2-minute promotional ‘trailer’ for a 3-hour epic movie that’s ‘coming soon’. That 3-hour epic is the soon-to-be-released UN-REDACTED version of the report by OIG (Office of the Inspector General) Micheal Horowitz, who intensely dislikes everything about the Obama administration, for good reason … they tried to neuter him and then tried to fire him.
That will result in Congress appointing ANOTHER / SEPARATE Special Prosecutor (my bet is that it will be TREY GOWDY) to investigate the Clinton Campaign and Clinton Foundation, the DNC, Hillary’s unsecured server, the Russian purchase of Uranium One ( = 20% of America’s uranium supply) and their bribes paid to the Clinton Foundation, and the roll of senior State Dept. officials in this FISA “unmasking” scandal.
All of that will involved TELEVISED Congressional hearings, with senior Democrat mucky-mucks all lawyered up and “on the advice of my counsel I’m invoking my 5th amendment rights.”
Then in Act 3 of this drama, the DOJ will (FINALLY!!!) charge a bunch of these slimy swamp dwellers shortly after Labor Day (when most Americans START paying attention to ‘politics’ prior to November’s mid-term elections …in which Democrats will be TOTALLY CRUSHED.

but I will give you one point for effort.
I noticed the media kept emphasizing that the dossier was not the “only” thing that went into seeking the Fisa warrant and that the memo doesn’t state what else was used. Pure deflection and detraction!
What difference does that make?! The only thing that’s relevant is that the dossier was used and, MOST IMPORTANTLY, the FBI did NOT tell the Fisa judge that it was a political document in the form of opposition research, paid for by the Clinton campaign and the DNC, meaning that they, the FBI, knew the judge would dismiss it as a partisan document if that key fact was presented before the court.
The other thing that has bothered about me is that many in the media have used the word “mistake” in describing this omission by the FBI to the judge. There’s a WORLD OF DIFFERENCE between a “mistake” and a deliberate act to deceive. If the FBI knew that the judge would dismiss the dossier as a partisan document if this fact was made known to him/her (and they did if it was left out) then that is a DELIBERATE ACT and NOT a “mistake”.
Finally, in watching much of CNN tonight, I noticed “partisan memo” scrolled across the bottom of the screen much of the time — used because, as CNN’s “journalists” stated many times, “it was a Republican-sponsored document with no input from the Democrats.”
Okay, so does that mean that the Democratic-sponsored memo to be released at some point with no input from Republicans and crafted exclusively by Democrats is going to be described in the same way when it’s finally released? A rhetorical question, I realize, since the answer is NO.
Preceding today’s memo with “partisan” makes it pejorative with a clear attempt to dismiss its importance, which is why the same will not be done to describe the DEMS memo.
One last point…
Why hasn’t the media tried to contact Hillary Clinton herself? If they’re unable to get a comment from her, then report that. “We tried to get in touch with a Clinton spokesperson but were unable to” or “We contacted a Clinton spokesperson, requesting comments on the memo’s content, specifically that the FBI used her campaign’s dossier to seek a Fisa warrant, but have not received a reply back.”
Why are they not even TRYING to get in contact with her?
Forgive me for being Toronto-centric here, but if former mayor Rob Ford were still alive and information obtained revealed that he and the Toronto Police collaborated to target George Smitherman in the 2010 mayor race in an attempt to help Ford win the election, wouldn’t a convoy a news vehicles be en route to his house?
I’m not advocating the media pay Clinton a personal visit. A simple ATTEMPT to get in touch by her by phone would suffice. After all, it was her campaing that finance the dossier.

I watched Bret Baier’s interview this evening (twice, actually, to ensure I had the right take) with Rep. Nunes (the interview is everywhere).
I thought that Mr. Nunes was pretty good, but not perfect (I’d give him about a 75% to 80%): I thought he was a bit too partisan in the later stretches, which included a few stretches (pardon the pun), to be honest.
Mr. Nunes indicated that he sent Rep. Gowdy to the reading room, with two investigators, to review the FISA applications, among other documents: I sincerely hope that Mr. Nunes, who co-wrote the memo, by his own admission, did not pressure Mr. Gowdy to sign on to something to which he did not agree, thereby causing Mr. Gowdy to decide to leave politics, which, if he does, in the end, will be a discernible loss of freedom to us all, including in Canada.
On the other hand, if the Memo is absolutely consistent with the facts of the matter, then we are presented with an absolutely inescapable, and deleterious, conflict of interest: Mr. Rosenstein, among other actions, not only signed a FISA warrant application, but appointed Mr. Mueller as Special Counsel…
Something big (I hope you will agree with me) would then have to give.

so democrats now say the memo is nothing…ok…but why were democrats freaking out all week before it was released ? what were they so afraid of ?……..they even wrote to Twitter begging them to stop people from demanding the memo be released……..then Pelosi went on tv, she was freakin out and said releasing the memo would damage the USA or something like that……other democrats said the memo was putting the USA at risk…..

That’s an excellent point. And further to that, why hasn’t anybody in the MSM (to my knowledge) inquired about this? In the lead up to the memo’s release, the Dems, in their effort to prevent its release, implied that if it was released it would release methods and sources, for example. The Reps stated the opposite position, that it does not. Well, considering that they were saying to different things then only one of those competing claims could’ve been true. And with the memo’s release, it showed that the Dems claim was a lie. Why hasn’t anyone in the press (the ones claiming to be free of bias), asked the Dems, such as Schiff for example, why they lied about methods and sources in order to prevent its release?
No doubt, if it had gone the other way, if the Reps, in their zeal to have the memo released, had lied and it DID reveal methods and sources, as the Dems had claimed, the very same media would be asking the Reps why they had lied.
