The “Alt-Right Bingo” game the leftists in the audience were playing seems to imply that they think it is hilarious, and cause for derision, to talk about these things:
- Critical thinking
- Viewpoint Diversity
- Open exchange of ideas
- Traditional values
- Free speech space
These people apparently grew up in Canada but clearly don’t hold anything resembling Canadian values.
Canadians keep electing people like Trudeau. Leftist values ARE Canadian values. Critical thinking etc are not.
My prejudices against the left keep being confirmed when they make light of those warning of the danger of sharia law.

I know I’ve beat this to death here, but what else would you expect the school system to produce in Canada? As the children go on into grades 13,14 15….they have learned nothing but progressive values. Those are Canadian values. That is why we have bongo, Kathleen and Rachel.
Progressive values ARE Canadian values,at least for 70% of the Country,with much higher percentages in many Provinces,Alberta and Saskatchewan bring the average down,and that’s why we have left wing governments in all but two Provinces.
And THAT is what drives me nuts about the CPC,they don’t seem to recognize that fact and carry on campaigning as though the voters only made a mistake last time and will soon experience an epiphany and see things the conservative way and elect the delightful Conservative candidate.
The LPC has long recognized the stupidity and malleability of the average voter and has played to that “strength” to win and win and win since WW2,with the occasional “time out” when Liberal corruption is so egregious even the somnolent sheeple wake up are are temporarily outraged.
Now,after Harper practically destroyed our Country and ruined our reputation on the World Stage (ask any progressive if that is a fact), we have Mr.Sunny Ways charming the dull witted and rebuilding our reputation at conferences far and wide.
What our new reputation IS, we can only suspect, but my personal opinion,as a forward thinking progressive Liberal is: world political and business leaders are not charmed by our shiny new government and our beloved PM,they just have not gotten over being absolutely stunned that the Canadian people are so credulous as to have elected this bunch.

The LPC captured the term “Canadian Values” decades ago and it became synonymous with platitudes and attitudes that now guide the institutional left (exemplified by public education). There is nothing “liberal” about progressives (of all parties). They are all essentially looters and thugs intent on growing the state at the expense of liberty. Progressives get away with mocking virtue in the form of free speech, critical thinking, culture, history, and rational philosophy only because they are not called to account for their addiction to coercion in the form of dictating behavior in all aspects of their fellow citizen’s lives.

To be honest … every single square is a valid topic for discussion. But the Left simply HATES “discussion”. They prefer shouting-down, smashing things, and political theatre. So it is banal, boring, and decidedly UN-witty to publish their silly “alt.Right” BINGO card. So predictable.
It is unfortunate for all of us that critical thinking, viewpoint diversity, open exchange of ideas, traditional values and free speech are just a partial list of what the authoritarian left, liberals and progressives hate. They also hate essential protections like due process, the presumption of innocence, individual rights and universal human rights. Then there’s the absurd antipathy towards the scientific method, objective analysis and any research on human evolution of biological and psychological gender differences. Don’t forget to add in disdain for beauty in classical art and literature (due to oppressive whiteness) and the positive effects on humankind due to the industrial revolution, the free market and capitalism.

If I may add my two cents. No doubt some of you might think One Trick Kulak. While reading and listening to the material presented by Robert the thought occurred to me that I have seen this before, not literally, but on paper.
Not to brag or blow my horn, but I have close to 200 Russian history books in my library. Almost all are by recognized historians who are or were recognized authorities in their field of study. Some like Richard Pipes were advisors to governments during the cold war. I have read everyone of those books and parts of some more than once and have been used as background resource material for the four family history books I have written.
What has been happening in our universities across North America to stifle free speech and any opposing views to the entrenching of Marxism and seems to be escalating in intensity. Thank goodness there are a few brave warriors like Jordan Peterson and Lindsay Shepard and possibly others attempting to stem the flood.
However, the increasingly more open Marxist controlled events in our higher learning schools is not new. The same thing happened 100 years ago in Russia. What has and is happening in our schools has just been slower, more subtle, and thus more insidious in nature.
Prior to the Russian revolution there was a covert socialist/Marxist/Bolshevik presence in Russian universities. After Russia entered the Great War the agitation in the schools increased and became more overt in the late fall of 1916. When the February revolution broke out and was successful the radical left took over all the schools. Then, after the Bolshevik coup, the effort to expel any opposition by professors and students began, and by the spring of 1918 the Bolsheviks took direct control of the schools.
The troika that Lindsay experienced was the standard method of operation and control in the schools and enforced by the Komsomol under the direction of the education commissary.
So, what happened in Russia in a relatively short time frame has been happening here slowly over a couple of decades and basically come out into the open only recently.
Make no mistake, after they shut up Jordan and Lindsay they will get around to shutting us up. The government won’t be able to shut us up all by itself. It’ll have a lot of assistance from virtue-signalling collaborators, such as the present-day church.

Well said as always. Canada is where the USA was just a year ago and this simply highlights how badly we need our own Trump to stop this progressive disease. I believe we have the same destructive 50-50 split they have but are lacking the leadership or will to tackle the problems that emanate from our education system, which I believe is the primary source of this plague. As a nation we are well on our way to becoming Venezuela. No tinfoil hat required to make that observation,
