  1. I just watched CBC’s Fifth Estate hosted by Bob Mckeown. The topic?? The Assassination of JFK. I could hardly believe that CBC would be involved in adding on to the ten thousand or more ”Conspiracy theories” that have emerged since Nov. 22, 1963.
If Mr. Mckeown is correct, after JFK was shot in Dallas at 12:30 PM on Nov. 22, 1963, authorities placed his body in a bronze casket and loaded into Air Force One. At 40,000 feet in the air, somewhere over the USA, they switched caskets, exchanged JFK’s brain for another one, and all in time to arrive at Bethesda Naval Hospital in Washington, DC. where the US Navy’s finest pathologists botched the autopsy.
I have my own theory!! What if Lee Harvey Oswald was actually aiming for Governor Connally, and hit the President by mistake?? After all, we were told that Oswald was a ”poor shot.”

  2. Ya AC/DC one of my favorite bands.Sad to see Malcolm go lots of musicians dying lately fats Tom Petty

  3. Re: ”Malcolm Young, AC-DC’s co-founder dies at 64 after a lengthy battle with dementia.”
For his friends and family, a sad day.
For the rest of us, confirmation that our Grade 8 health book was correct.
    RIP Malcolm.

  4. My two favorite shows seem to be heading down the SJ rathole. Have now deleted two weeks in a row after viewing partial episodes: Major Crimes, and Blue Bloods. One more chance, and I’m done with them. I’ve learned since ditching Bones and The Good Wife, the more often you drop this crap, the easier it gets. Started watching all the fascinating (and hilarious) fine art documentaries by Waldemar Januszczak and a series covering papal history on Amazon Prime. Plenty of other stuff to watch.

  5. It’s not just TV shows.
A certain astronomy podcast that I liked to listen to went that way as well. During one lecture, there were numerous instances of Trump-bashing, whereupon I deleted the URL for that podcast. I listened to it to hear about astronomy, not one’s political views.
The last installment of an on-line comic that I’ve read for years had a lot of anti-Trump whining. If that happens again, I’ll dump that as well.
Nobody forced me to listen to that podcast or read that comic, so I can feel free to exercise the censorship of the marketplace.

  6. Sexual orientation is something you are born with but gender is a choice. If you don’t square that circle then you’re a bigot.

  7. I was at the Back In Black tour at Maple Leaf Gardens and will never forget it.
    Greatest concert ever.
    RIP Malcolm Young.

  8. One of my favorite shows NCIS LA, had a recent episode where (wait for it) white far right wing air force officers took over a nuclear launch site with the goal of stopping terrorism by nuking Muslim cities. How were these officers radicalized you ask? Well by a (wait for it) a white far right college professor. No really. Luckily the Latino female lead was able to crawl down a hole, toss in a grenade and kill those white devils before they could execute their nefarious plan.

  9. Some families just don’t have the genetics for a long life. He had been suffering from early onset dementia and his older brother has already passed at a young age.

“Wall Street Journal Calls Merkel’s Energiewende “A Meltdown” Involving “Astronomical Costs”
The Editorial Board of the Wall Street Journal here put out an accurate, concise assessment of how Germany’s “Energiewende” (transition away from fossil and nuclear energies over to green energies) has been faring so far. It’s grade? I’d interpret it as an F for failure.”
Once seen as “a paragon of green energy virtue“, the Energiewende is nothing like it was sold to be by green energy hucksters. In fact things have gotten so bad that we can expect activists to grow totally silent on Germany’s Energiewende as its failure becomes glaring and embarrassing.”

Polish coal trader Weglokoks is due to get its first ever shipment of US coal after Donald Trump has promised Poland’s pro-coal government US energy. The move comes as 19 nations signed a coal phase-out deal.”

“Trudeau better not pull a ‘Judas’ and backstab Mexico on NAFTA: ex-president Vicente Fox
MEXICO CITY – A former president of Mexico has a warning for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau: Don’t abandon our country in NAFTA talks like some modern-day “Judas.”
Vicente Fox warns that would be a mistake.
The former Mexican president told CTV News that it wouldn’t do any good if Canada ditched Mexico in pursuit of a one-on-one trade deal with the U.S., in the misguided belief President Donald Trump would go easier on Canada.”

“Mrs Merkel had hoped to wrap up the exploratory talks, which began more than four weeks ago, by the end of the weekend, in order to avert fresh elections that could destabilise Germany and Europe.
The four parties are already days past Mrs Merkel’s initial Thursday deadline to establish the framework for the previously untested coalition.”
