My pompous ass meter is broken after watching that video of Nenshi. Quite pleased that there are councillors that have aligned with Bill Smith too, the one in my area for example. Internal polling (private) is showing others will be given the boot too.

Since I’ve started to follow Michelle Rempel on Facebook & other social media, my opinion of her unfiltered views has taken a steady increase upwards … (same idea as President Trump using Twitter without the msm filter)

When Calgary approved the Green Line, Rempel didn’t pay attention to why things changed, she didn’t bothered to find out why things changed. She didn’t care why things changed. She immediately rushed off to do FB Live where she had a hissy fit meltdown. Lost all respect for her.

The problems with a government increase exponentially as a function of its distance from the governed.
What is the closest government to you? Condo association? School board? Civic? Health region? Provincial? Federal?
Every one of them levies taxes on you. Why? Seems like there should be exactly one entity you pay taxes to. After that, all other layers of government are out of luck.
Calgary or Alberta will never get back to “normal” you jokers voted NDP.
