Even without delivering on his biggest campaign promises, President Donald Trump has begun to reshape American life in ways big and small.
Over his first nine months, Trump has used an aggressive series of regulatory rollbacks, executive orders and changes in enforcement guidelines to rewrite the rules for industries from energy to airlines, and on issues from campus sexual assault to anti-discrimination protections for transgender students.
While his administration has been chaotic, and his decision-making impulsive and sometimes whimsical, Trump has made changes that could have far-reaching and lingering consequences for society and the economy. Some have grabbed headlines but many, no less consequential, have gone largely unnoticed amid the daily controversies and Twitter insults that have marked Trump’s early months in office.
Speaking of swamps — do you know what a Nova Scotia Duck Toller is? It’s a little red retriever with a white tip on his tail. He plays at the water’s edge, drawing in curious ducks with his antics, so that the hunter has an closer shot. Then, he goes out to retrieve them.
I don’t know what made me think of this, but I did.

The Deep State and their MSM cheerleaders MUST propagate ONE primary FAKE “truth” … that they and ONLY THEY are capable of managing the affairs of the nation. That any and all “outsiders” are incompetent boobs who lack the knowledge, experience, depth, nuance, and education to operate the vast and complex controls of the government. Therefore, each and every move made by President Trump will be forever described as “chaotic”, “stumbling”, and “bumbling”. Of course these are all LIES … but that is what the Deep State does … LIE … and deceive the public.
That sort of thinking is nothing new. Politicians have been bad-mouthing their opponents for centuries. (“If you vote for the other candidate, your lawn will die and your cat will become mangy.”)
True … but it usually does not involve Republicans -vs- Republican. THAT moves this sort of crap from the banal to the unique.

Trump spends what, maybe 15 minutes per day doing his tweets. The media spends thousands of man-hours responding to those tweets.
I think that, perhaps, he is leveraging his time quite well.
This is draining the swamp with an eyedropper. Tinkering where real change is needed. Whatever he’s done with deregulation is outweighed by his idiotic tariffs and efforts to further entrench the war on immigrants. He won’t even repeal the Jones Act FFS -and he even admitted it’s because of the special interests that would bog him down! Honest, for once. The swamp drained Trump.

I have always been a Lab guy but my son had a Toller when he lived in Greenwood NS.It was great dog for the family and yes it would toll for ducks, neat.
