11. Thankfully, the Wahington Monument is an obelisk … NOT a statue. That will confuse the spoiled American children who are systematically defacing old-white-people statuary. An obelisk whose design is rooted in Egyptian architecture. An obelisk that is not so vaguely “phallic”. These SJW’s applaud the Egyptian culture (it is an “African” culture after all), and virtually worship the phallus (well except for males “transitioning” into “females”). I suspect the only defacing planned for the Washington Monument is going to be a giant condom rolled over the monument suggesting that Washington should not have reproduced his “white” ancestors in this country. Such good political theatre. At least it would be more humorous than the decapitation of Junipero Serra …

13. Riel wasn’t hanged for killing Thomas Spence, or for anything he did in Manitoba. He was hanged for his role in the Northwest Rebellion of 1885.
    He didn’t murder anybody. He did take part in, and take responsibility for, a violent uprising that killed quite a few people. He was much less dangerous to public safety than Thomas Spence had been, and MacDonald had much less reason to hang Riel than Riel had to hang Spence, but both hangings were justified.

14. Not sure what “west” your a part of that’s seeking independence. I’m from Vancouver Island, not much west of me and I don’t hear a peep about separating. The odd bar room joke about lynching le petite pomme fritte but separation isn’t in the cards. What is in the cards is an abiding respect for the Monarchy, if for no other reason than it pi**e* off everyone east of Victoria. lol have a great day.
