  1. Finally a Canadian Hero who is not afraid to stand up to the social justice warriors. Maybe there is hope for Canada.

  2. Douglas Murray seems to be another giant fighting against islam and our politically correct leaders.

  3. You can’t argue with or convince people who reject logic outright. Post modern faculties at today’s universities teach their “disciples” to reject logic. If you follow Kate’s blog you see examples of this every day. This isn’t going to end well. Peterson is the prophet in the wilderness saying “prepare ye the way.” Things didn’t work out too well for that prophet either.

  4. I would love to read the book ‘Understanding Postmodernism,’ but why is it $450 – $950 for a paperback/hardcopy? Is demand really that strong?
Pricing logic and common sense out of the market; something like fossil fuels eh? The progressives really don’t want us to know this stuff.
“Stephen R. C. Hicks’s Explaining Postmodernism: Skepticism and Socialism from Rousseau to Foucault: A Discussion.”
‘Postmodernism rejects, or is deeply suspicious of, truth, objectivity, and progress, and is characterized by a distinctive anti-science, anti-capitalist mentality. Postmodernists are united by both a shared philosophical history and a shared conception of human nature—or at least agreement about what our “core feelings” are: “dread and guilt” (Kierkegaard and Heidegger); “alienation, victimization, and rage” (Marx); “a deep need for power” (Nietzsche); and “a dark and aggressive sexuality” (Freud). As Hicks observes, postmodernists divide over the question whether these core feelings are socially or biologically determined, but “in either case, individuals are not in control of their feelings: their identities are a product of their group memberships, whether economic, sexual, or racial,” and since these vary, with no objective standards to which we can submit our alternative and conflicting perspectives, “group balkanization and conflict must necessarily result”
So, don’t be surprised that common sense goes out the window, that feminists admire medieval mysognists, that free speech requires censorship, that elections must be overturned to save democracy, that identity politics unite us, that taking from productive enterprises and taxing the crap out of the poor enriches society, that independent thought is dangerous; Bill Gairdner’s “libertarian socialists,” free to do their own thing, but adhering to statist dogma.
The contradictions and hypocrisy doesn’t matter when you’re saving society from liberty and prosperity and those unfortunate, rich atomized free citizens.
Plus real easy street phony baloney jobs, grants, power, wealth, influence and rent seeking from geniuses like Al Gore – genius at ripping us off.

  5. For all our sakes,CPC,get your ass in gear and recruit this guy to either run for Office or at least to help CPC politicians to understand the enemy.
Of course,he might have committed an unpardonable sin in his life, maybe used the “N” word or the “F” word or the “ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ” word, or….or….or…
The man is one of the few who has the balls to speak out against Political Correctness, and names the lunacy that has gripped our universities and too many of our young people.
The CPC needs this guy. For f***’s sake get him on board,Mr.Scheer.

  6. Robert, thanks for this video.
Yes, we need to fight the radical left. However, they have a half century head start in brainwashing the students in our universities and high schools. Some people, as evidenced on this blog and elsewhere, are aware of what is going on but most people are blissfully unaware.
Yuri Bezmenov in his videos, now on Youtube for now, warned us a few decades ago that this was happening.
I have related the experiences of my friend and step-brother meeting communists in their university classes at McMaster and U of Saskatchewan in the late 1950s.
It is hard to find any books on Amazon on this topic.

  7. You can download the kindle version for $8.09. Free if you subscribe to kindle unlimited.

  8. His views will be pooh-poohed as too extreme by “establishment conservatives”. They will know this because the leftist propaganda industry will convince them so.
Much like the GOP to the south, there are still far too many CPC politicians who are blind to this cultural civil war. Themselves slaves to the illogic of political correctness, many are simply libs in con clothing anyways.

  9. Could we be a little more positive here people!! Not the first or last time extremists try and turn Canada over!! The next time you get a request to attend a constituency meeting, show up!
I set out chairs and made coffee at political gatherings when I was 15 years old. I even listened to Ralph Goodale at the Assiniboia, Sk. Legion Hall in the 70’s. The old Ranchers who, lived near the Canada-USA border, would torment him. He always fought back. (Although nothing he ever said was true.) It didn’t matter what party they belonged to, we listened to what they had to say. Some of the older NDPers who had been CCF supporters would make today’s leftists look like day old kittens.
My favorite speaker was one of the early founders of the Reform Party, Lee Morrison from Eastend, Sk. The Reform was the turning point where westerners began to wake up and realize how Ottawa was shafting us all.
    It’s all about getting involved.

  10. Trudeau sure caters to Asian countries that stack our store shelves with second grade products.
I have an old 1986 F-150 that use around town and on country roads. I was on my third rebuilt alternator when I got fed up and ordered a new one. After 2500 Ks, the front bearing started whining. The alternator was sold as ”Assembled in Mexico with US built components.” The front bearing was ”Made in Taiwan.” I went and bought a new SKF #6203 bearing. It says, ”Made in Argentina.” I doesn’t whine, but for how long??
    Thanks Trudeau!

  11. This man Jordan Peterson is an absolute intellectual treasure here in Canada. I think he should be protected and funded.
He is front line tip-of-the-spear fighting for just plain sanity in our nation. He must have oodles of nasty well backed enemies.
Does anyone here have a link by which Jordan Peterson can be sent money for support?

  12. The Conservative Party of Canada would never let an actual conservative buy a membership, let alone hold any office within the party.
I am done with the ghosts of Joe Clark. If there is a Libertarian in my riding I may bother to vote, but that is about it.

  13. If it was only Canada. It is the US, and in fact all of western liberal democratic civilization that is under assault by these anarcho-communists. Ralph Goodale isn’t even lick-spittle to these grandchildren of Lenin and spawn of Marx.

  14. it is pathetic. everyone in Canada is a socialist at some level. the few of us who are very conservative, ie, want smaller government, fewer restrictions on our lives, less immigration, control of potential enemies, lower taxes, I could go on but, most Canadians do not want what I want. too bad, they don’t really know what freedom is.

  15. These are exactly the kinds of stark raving mad societal issues that take logical and professional people such as Professor Jordan Pederson from the dedicated confines of their principal vocational arenas, and make almost instant political leaders and giants; among whom liberals then forever rue the cursed day they poked and awakened them. Boomerang, anyone?

  16. thee kristians will destroy him, not actual conservatives.
Much of what shamrock posts about reminds me of the bullshit I had thrown at me at a religious school. The problem with many so called cons is that they fail to recognize that much of the lefts ideology is rooted in the kristian past

  17. Don;
I advocated for a conservative forum for education and discussion way back in Reform days. A strong riding association can do its part but national leadership has to actually lead. The Harper governments never found a way to have grass roots input. National Assemblies become elitist simply because the vast majority of conservatives do not participate.
Pederson gave this speech at the Manning Centre. What role does Manning play in the conservative movement? Not much education or leadership IMHO. I believe it is located in Ottawa and as a Westerner that explains why I see/hear almost nothing of its activities. As a conservative in ‘limbo’ I actually feel more betrayed by Preston Manning than Stephen Harper.
Many on here like to put progressives down in the most simplistic terms. Bottom line is that progressives are winning/have won the battle for the hearts of Canadians. So much of the struggle is process. Progressives control education, media and the nuts and bolts of government. What is the conservative movement doing to counter, not much. In the last leadership campaign most of these issues were not even discussed.
Another bastion of conservative thought was the Fraser Insitute. Supported them for years. They actually do research and publish. In the past I actually had so called conservative politcos reject Fraser Institute research because it did not fit a more populist narrative. I find the conservative movement dominated by those who do not have a philosophical bottom line and really do not have a process for determining positions.

  18. Too many here react to the wisdom of Peterson by advocating that he run for office and “save us all”. Politics is an ugly, thankless, and depressing venture for people with principles. Deep down, aside from being very shallow, most politicians scramble to get in front of the mob to give the appearance of leadership. Peterson’s message needs to be used to grow a new mob as the existing mobs are largely infected with the post modern nihilism that he excoriates and are therefore beyond redemption. Think Milton Friedman’s line about rather than getting the right person elected, what needs to happen is changing the underlying culture so that the “wrong” person, by virtue of wanting to hold office is compelled to do the right thing.
What is needed is for Peterson and others to replace “liberal arts” of the institutional left with virtually free online alternatives. When rebellious kids in high school watch Peterson clips in the evenings and tell their progressive parents and teachers that they’re full of shite, the tide will start to turn.

  19. I know; but I want a book to read when I’m camping, not a pain in the ass tablet, which I have buried somewhere. I’m old fashioned that way.
