  1. Progressives are so certain that the Russians hacked the Demos and influenced the Trump victory. I was surprised by the Trump victory as I was pretty convinced that the Demos would stuff ballot boxes one way or another. Operation Veritas was a confirmation that vote rigging is well established in America and by extension in Canada.
Electronic voting has the same potential of being ‘adjusted’ as the slots in Vegas. I would not put it past either the Demos or GOP to do so. The upper crust of society, whether politicians, business or carpetbaggers, fear nothing more than the ‘unclean’ masses.
An ugly truth about humanity is that they can be easily led. Today’s youth do not question process all that well. If a computer tells people it is so, then it has to be right.
I have been involved in the voting process and counted ballots. What you find never ceases to amaze. Yes, people who cannot add 2 + 2 get to vote. The counting process, poll by poll, is not that onerous. Party reps can be present and can express any concerns. I never found that process to be anything other than civilized.
Like proportional representation electronic voting should be opposed most strenuously.

  2. Paper ballots with a receipt for the voter and a way to reference it if needed. And indelible ink on th index finger.
I believe that would increase turnout as the visible mark would be seen as a badge of honour/citizenship.

  3. It Must be noted that the NSA has always had the software!
When your Intel Community openly SPIES on Citizens, which is a criminal offense and Congressional oversight just ignores those involved… Brennan, Rice, Lynch, Power.. You have Racketeering 101
Not much hope for fair elections, the California Illegal Aliens will continue to vote unless Nancy P also becomes deaf….

  4. We have to do away with the secret ballot. Secret ballot shields people from their own decisions; who voted for carbon tax? Whomever votes for carbon tax, gets to be first in line. But since the ballots are secret, there is no way to do that. Who voted for Notely? I have never been able to find anyone who will admit it.
Another thing we have to do away with, is legal protectiona for civil servants. A judge releases a serial killer? That judge should feel justice being done, but judges got rules passed to protect judges.

  5. The couldn’t do a proper recount in Michigan because the number of ballots counted in Detroit bore no resemblance to the number who voted. We’re pretty sure it wasn’t Republicans cheating in Detroit. There are two kinds of Democrats in Detroit – Crips and Bloods – but no Republicans.

  6. You do realize that that is exactly what unions and despots want. Knowing how you voted can be used to intimidate and terrorize.

  7. There is no limit to the severity of cheating that can be done with electronic voting.
In Venezuela, this was key. Alek Boyd has done extensive research on this in Venezuela. Why can’t it happen here? Because we count paper votes by hand.

  8. N.F.L.! NO to electronic voting or any other change in the system of balloting.
You show your ID, mark your ballot, the poll workers draw a line through your name on the voter’s list. That’s how I’ve always voted and it’s a good system, damned difficult to beat.Electronic voting is as likely to be corrupted as anything else electronic, credit cards, banking, online anything…… The system works just fine in our sparsely populated Country, this ain’t India or the USA.
Electronic voting is a damned good system if you’re a corrupt political organization though.

  9. When you read this article , it adds credibility to the idea that Trump actually did win the popular vote . While travelling in the U S prior to his election I was astounded by the near total lack of support for Hillary . It could be that the people I spoke with were not a representation of overall voters , but the concenceus was overwhelming . If we allow electronic voting it is likely Trudeau will fulfill his promise of the last first past the post election.

  10. Nothing would disenfranchise MY VOTE faster than making voting any “easier” for the masses. If you cannot manage to visit a polling place, or drop your ballot in an envelope and put it in the mail … then you don,t deserve to vote. We don’t “need” to allow citizens to vote with a swipe of their finger. We don’t “need” to subject our votes to a whole world of hackers bent on destruction. I don’t “need” my vote cancelled by the votes of the dead, underage, or spam-voting of any description.
And why do you suppose the leftists are the ones who want to make voting so easy, that even a lazy, unmotivated FOOL can do it ? Duh … that’s the Left’s constituency. Lazy unmotivated fools who want something for nothing … for no effort.

  11. There is NOTHING wrong with the way we vote.
There is EVERYTHING wrong with HOW our elected Reps ABUSE the power we give them.

  12. The attitude of the Left is: “It’s only fair if I get to cheat”. In the US, they’ve achieved more success in that area. Online voting has the same weakness as Bitcoins – they can both be hacked. I’ve been a scrutineer in a paper ballot count and the system works fine.

wasnt it george dubya’s time when voting machine fraud was all the rage in media? and what did the republitards of the day do about it?
why are these go**amn contraptions even an issue? time to toss them all into a smelter.
next phase: online voting in the interests of the ‘convenience’ of oh, say, the disabled. ya, cant touch THAT rationale without being outed as insensitive and unfair eh?
