  1. Good for you! Well done! It is good that you don’t care. Do your thing.
Once in a while even the Democrat mouthpiece gets it right. The accompanying photo kind of tells you where the descriptor IQ80 comes from.
“The world needs to stop mindlessly fawning over Justin Trudeau
Earlier this month, news of the scandal currently consuming Trudeau’s prime ministership — his decision to preemptively settle a civil suit with Canadian-born ex-Guantanamo Bay detainee Omar Khadr for $8 million — had begun to slowly trickle into U.S. headlines.
Luckily, Rolling Stone was able to rush to his rescue this week, with a fawning cover story by Stephen Rodrick musing wistfully about “a nation led by a man who wore a ‘Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy’ T-shirt on national television, rides a unicycle and welcomed 40,000 Syrian refugees with open arms.”

  2. You lack progressive style. How come you are not wearing a pantsuit? Where is your vagina hat?

  3. Dogs: a good and justifiable reason for playing hooky. No explanation needed.

  4. A blind man wearing a new suit and a new overcoat is standing at a street corner with his seeing eye dog on a leach. Just when the light changes, the dog raises his leg and urinates on the blind man’s pant leg, and on his new shoes. A passerby stops, and is angered by the dog’s behaviour.
Before the passerby can offer the blind man assistance, the blind man reaches in his pocket and pulls out a dog treat from his coat pocket. The passerby is shocked, so he asks the blind man, ”Sir, your dog just urinated all over your new pants and your new shoes, and you’re offering him a treat! Why are you rewarding the dog for such poor conduct?”
”I’m not rewarding him” replies the blind man. ”I’m just trying to determine which end is which so I can kick him in the nuts.”

  5. Re: Trump’s comments on police brutality.
I heard his speech on CTV.
The conversation was about the notorious Mexican and South American organized crime gangs, most of whom are in the USA, Canada etc. illegally. The Prez was not referring to the guy who just got arrested for stealing condoms at 7-11. More fake news from the MSM.

  6. Congrats on the win Kate. At least there’s one dog that obeys his or her master.
I live on a street where barking dogs keep us awake at night. The dog catcher is never around. Nor are the dog’s masters. One of the luxuries of living in a small town.

  7. Finally, a nice picture of our much esteemed blog hostess.
Now I know that good looks match that brilliant intellect and acerbic wit.

  8. There are lots of things more terrifying such as Criminillary being the POTUS.

  9. I agree, due process is an absolute for citizens. That’s why we call them “civil rights”. If you are not a citizen, you have no civil rights.

It really doesn’t matter. ‘Due Process’ is an absolute
Says the guy who in the previous story is defending the government for using its ever increasing array of overwhelming resources to penalize law abiding companies for political gain.
You are a special kind of cretin, and yet such an ineffectual troll.
    I do sympathize.
When your ideology consists of stealing from the productive under the guise of social welfare(plus appropriate vigorish), one understands how thee and logic are such complete strangers.
I will end with thanks for your contributions.
Nothing like seeing the other sides’ idiocy on a regular basis to stiffen the old resolve.
    Hail Venezuela!

  11. Speaking of citizen’s rights, any thoughts on the 93 year old Nazi who was stripped of his Canadian citizenship. What is puzzling is this is done under the Liberal policy — a citizen is a citizen — which declares that they will to strip citizens for acts of terrorism. A letter in the Post today states that the old guy was recruited as an interpreter when he was a teenager. He never tortured or killed anyone, but was simply forced to participate. By contrast, we give 10.5 million to a confessed killer. As the letter write suggested, there seems to be a double standard here. Under what circumstances exactly do we take away citizenship? Maybe the religion of the person is a factor.

  12. Correction “which declares that they will NOT strip citizens for acts of terrorism.”

  13. This is because of the jewish lobby. They are the reason that we have been going after ninety year old “nazis” for the past twenty years. Remember Irwin Cotler, out justice minister about twenty years ago? I think he was the instigator of it then and likely is now. For some reason these same people don’t think muzzie terrorists are a problem. That is total mystery.

  14. Think skin colour. If one is white, apparently we are everything that is wrong with this country.
Apparently, if this country was more like Syria, Afstan and Nigeria, all would be just awesome.

  16. I have a form of autism. I cannot read ‘body language’. I gain a very close bond with my doggies because *they* read my body language flawlessly.
they know who is one their side.
Im even on the ‘side’ of the junk yard dogs trained to snarl and bare the canines. they dont know any better. Ive stared down rotties and doberman’s with a sharp assertive voice and stare. all the while thinking jezz I hope this works !!
my current critter is a part mastiff who got a huge laugh out of me when I gave him a timeout in the garden shed and promptly dented the hell out of the steel doorknob trying to figure out how that ’round thing’ works.
anyway that’s my rant about the canine breeds.
many congrats Kate and many more.

  17. Bzzt wrong. Police and the rest of government do not have a license to abuse non-citizens. Rights are universal to humans, including non-citizens.

  19. Human right are not the same as civil rights. If you invade my country, which is what illegal aliens have done, I reserve the right to shoot you dead, the same way I would have to a German in WW11.

  20. “which is what illegal aliens have done,”
No they haven’t. America is not your ‘safe space’. Civil rights extend to illegal immigrants as well. Tough cheese if you don’t like it.

    “Introduction
…At last we were under enemy gunfire and I knew now that we had not much further to carry all this weight. We were soaked through with rain and perspiration from the efforts we had been making to get through the clinging mud, so that when we stopped we huddled down in the nearest shell hole and covered ourselves with a groundsheet, hoping for some sort of comfort out of the rain, and partly believed the sheet would also protect us from the rain of shells. I shivered alongside Stephens who was a quiet, kindly and refined lad having his first taste of the front line. Together we huddled in this hole when there was a great thump behind us, but mercifully that shell failed to explode. As the shelling grew worse it was decided we had better move on, so reloading ourselves we pushed through the mud again and amid the din of the bursting shells I called to Stephens, but got no response and just assumed he hadn’t heard me. He was never seen or heard from again. He had not deserted. He had not been captured. One of those shells that fell behind me had burst and Stephens was no more.

  25. Not according to our Supreme Court and a large number of commentators, who say that none of our rights are absolute – not even the right to a fair trial.
And it would be nice if persons appearing before our kangaroo court “human rights commissions” receive some due process. But they’re not “charged with an offence” as per section 11 of the Charter of Rights, so the abusive state can do almost anything it likes.
