    As for the video. It is great that Rebel sent staff over to area liberated from ISIS. The silence from progressives about the Middle East Christian genocide is deafening and telling. My opinion is that progressives are actually cheering on this genocide.

  4. Not that I doubt in the slightest the plight of Christians in the ME, but it is not in the government’s place to establish a religious preference in, well, anything including immigration. Just let them all in already.

    The Islamic colonization of Spain WAS a season of enlightenment. It was completely superior to Christian Europe and what came after the caliph. Jews ran AWAY from the Spanish Christians.
    I have never heard of any celebrations of the Islamic take down of the Byzantine or the others being celebrated, and only a dolt thinks that the Crusaders were trying to ‘free’ Jerusalem. They committed senseless slaughter and were objectively worse than what they pushed out. Then again this is the Gatestone BS factory.

If it isnt the “government’s place to establish a religious preference” … then what the HELL was the UN and Bill Clinton doing in Bosnia and Yugoslavia ? Why were these governments religious and cultural choices in need of reversing ? By outside governments ?
    Anyone who doubts there is an international WAR on Christianity … just isn’t paying attention.

  6. Coren was always on the wrong side of most issues. Karen Selick used to chew him up every week on the Western Standard blog debate. A Red Tory and fatally compromised.
    As to the slaughter of Christians, what do our future Islamic theocracy leaders have to say about it other than they were only following the orders of the Fuhrer…oops, I mean Mohammad.

    Bill Clinton was unwilling to get involved in Yugoslavia. However, there was a vast, right-wing CONs piracy to get the US embroiled in an unnecessary conflict. Clinton resisted initially but then buckled over.
    Kudos to Mr. Clinton for having disengaged from Somalia — another right-wing imbroglio — and staying away from Rwanda.
    (An important French phrase: laissez faire — leave us alone.)
