Prockner told one friend he wanted to kill his ex-girlfriend, he enlisted friends to help him stalk her, and he banded together with at least seven teenagers to plot her murder and the murder of her boyfriend at the time.
Joining together to stalk and kill a 16 year-old girl is not merely “stupid, selfish, tactless, shallow and boorish.” It is psychopathic/sociopathic thinking and behaviour that has somehow become normalized among a significant number of this generation. Something is seriously wrong with our culture and this isn’t the end of the story.
Where !? were the parents of this teenage murderer ? Why no mention of THEIR responsibility for raising a psychopath … or at least not reporting their psychopath kid to the authorities. Surely HIS PARENTS were aware of how distraught he was re: the breakup … so why didn’t they TEACH him how to get over it ? Why didn’t they give him coping mechanisms ? Why didn’t THEY put a stop to his stalking ? And if they couldn’t handle it … find some professional who could !!!

I expect that someone is getting dumped every 5sec. on the planet … but thankfully … the jilted lovers aren’t being murdered at that rate. This kid had a screw loose … and WHO better to know about it than his parental units ? As OK said above … teenagers are stupid, selfish, impulsive, shallow, etc. However, PARENTS are supposed to instruct and counteract these hormonal impulses. If your child is acting like an animal in the bush … pouncing-on, and raping every female in heat … then it is the PARENTS responsibility to tame that kind of beastiality. My assessment of your original post was that it had nothing whatsoever to do with a teenage girl getting murdered by an obsessive, stalker ex-boyfriend, or other self-absorbed, unthinking teens not blowing the whistle on him.
Rather, your post seemed to be you projecting a lot of personal animosity on a very sad situation. And that is what I found ‘kinda offensive’.
