SCIENCE: Straight Guys Really Don’t Like Dudes Kissing Dudes

Scientists found that straight men felt disgust when shown slideshows of gay men kissing. Researchers said this reaction was similar to the disgust straight men experienced when shown images [of] rotting flesh or maggots. That was even true for straight men who reported no prejudice against homosexuals.

Of course this is society’s fault.

“Why do people low in prejudice still show an increased physiological response?” Blair wondered. “We can’t say definitively, however, it could be that society has socialized the notion of same-sex sexuality and affection as being ‘disgusting’ or immoral so strongly, for so long, that merely witnessing it causes a slight physiological stress response.”

  2. An appropriate choice of music, given that this past weekend was the 154th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg. That engagement is regarded by many as the turning point of the American Civil War.
Also, over the past few days, John Batchelor’s show had a number of items related to that conflict.

  3. The CBC’s National states that Omar Khadr’ settlement has divided Canadians.
A question to CBC. If Canadians are divided over this issue, then why did you block them from expressing their views in the comments section of Youtube?

  4. Revolting ! This is the exact same lame-ass excuse as to why girls like to play with dolls, and play dress-up … it’s all because “society” has “socialized” girls this way. Genetics play NO role. Evolution plays no role. Biology plays no role. Physiology plays no role. Natures reproductive strategy plays no role. The book of Genesis plays no role … ad nauseum … retch.
Go ahead and pretend you can FORCE boys to kiss boys and not creep out 96.7% of the population. But do so at YOUR OWN RISK. Be prepared for a lot of DEAD Trannys who thought they could “socialize” the hetero out of REAL men.

  5. We may as well go fly a kite, the decision is made, the Trudeau government will give at least ten million to Khadr and apologize profusely on behalf of all Canadians. It’s obscene on so many fronts and we cannot do a thing about it when a government is in power with a majority.
We know there will be no massive protests in the streets, just the odd whimper from a few corners. All we can hope is when Trudeau makes the terrorist a millionaire he gets the rest of his family off welfare.

  8. Vatican police break up a drug fuelled gay orgy at the redience of an advisor to the pope.
    Who’da thunk it.

  9. I think the pope was most upset to find there were no young boys invited.

  10. The mysterious “certain men” demographic….

Sweden’s biggest music festival will be replaced next year by a women-only alternative after reports of a series of rapes and sexual assaults at this year’s event.
After next year’s festival was cancelled and its organisers released an oddly-phrased statement claiming “certain men apparently cannot behave”

  11. when will the coddled guantanimo refugees turn on their lieberal masters?
it will happen. the religion and politics behind this is way to ingrained in the muhamadans’ psyche and culture to stop it.
plus of course the historical example in other areas of social science, ie feminazis.
my crystal ball tells me a lieberal politishun will be blown to bits by a ‘martyr’ in their constituency office or in their limo on the way to the house of commons.
then what? what will be the spiel then? a ‘random act’. ya, ya, that’s it, a random act.
    captcha ‘MEXICO SOLD’ lol !!!

  12. ah dear. the encryption ransom malware situation.
100s of millions of emails hacked.
millions of credit card accounts hacked.
    vital infrastructure control systems hacked.
    hack hack hack hack hack.
well, here is historybuff’s suggestion, bolstered by 30+/- yrs in IT.
we need a 2nd world wide digital communications network with E-T-R-E-M-E-L-Y limited access. *every* device connected must have some sort of unique ID, registered in a central server to whit if you aint on the list that link is severed and ignored.
    all traffic heavily encrypted.
etc etc. got that? an entirely *brand new* and designed from the start with security in mind. confined to major infrastructure, top level govt, military, those services and resources vital to defense and management etc.
but it aint gonna happen because govts are BROKE and too lazy, stooopid and disorganized. ya ya, there will be glitches and exceptions. deal with them as they arise. but start out by looking at ALL the ways malicious traffic has spread and inflicted damage with the current web and use that as a guideline.
a brand new entirely separate web. very exclusive access. it can be done.
or maybe just wait until the grid is crashed a couple times resulting in 100s of billions in lost productivity.

  13. Ya? Well, I find the Catholic Church’s continuing scandal of raping young boys and then protecting the rapists extremely offensive.
I have NO respect for ANY man who puts the fortunes of his empire above protecting little boys from pedophiles and I couldn’t give a flying f*ck if you are offended by that.

  14. Nah, it’s a security measure. Cars don’t kill people; jihadis kill people. After all, you don’t hear of jihadis using bikes to mow down infidels, do you?

  15. Yah, and jihadis don’t firebomb rows of parked cars … disgruntled UNION members who need a 15-Euro minimum wage do …

  16. Im puzzled. if Tranna is the nation’s epicenter of racial/cultural/religious/ethnic/etc tolerance, howcum this is happening:
    http://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/canada/toronto-marijuana-arrests-reveal-%e2%80%98startling%e2%80%99-racial-divide/ar-BBDTMz1?li=AAggNb9&ocid=iehp
    and from the link:
“They didn’t go into the parks of Forest Hill to shake down the rich white kids. They spent their time in the parks and community centres of the Jane and Finch corridor, and it was like shooting fish in a barrel.”
    oh. right. cops . . . . .

  17. Hint: It’s never been about climate change/global warming or the environment:
“It would work this way: A red team of scientists critiques a key climate assessment. The blue team responds. The back-and-forth continues until all the evidence is aired and refuted, followed by public hearings and an action plan based on the findings. It happens entirely out in the open. Koonin said this approach is used in high-consequence situations and “very different and more rigorous than traditional peer review, which is usually confidential and always adjudicated, rather than public and moderated.”
Now you would think the scientific establishment would embrace an opportunity to present their case to a wary, if disinterested, public. You would think the 97 percent of scientists who supposedly all agree human activity is causing climate change would eagerly line up to vanquish climate deniers, especially those in the Trump administration. You would think the same folks who fear a science-averse President Trump would be relieved his administration is encouraging a rigorous, forensic inquiry into the most consequential scientific issue of our time that has wide-ranging economic, social, and political ramifications around the world.”
    You would think.”
Instead, many scientists & activists are expressing outrage at this logical suggestion, even advising colleagues not to participate. In a June 21 Washington Post op-ed, three top climate scientists repudiated the red-team concept, offended by the slightest suggestion that climate science needs fixing. Naomi Oreskes, Benjamin Salter, and Kerry Emanuel wrote that “calls for special teams of investigators are not about honest scientific debate. They are dangerous attempts to elevate the status of minority opinions, & to undercut the legitimacy, objectivity and transparency of existing climate science.”
In a July 1 post full of irony, leading climate scientist Ken Caldeira blasts the climate contest: “We don’t want red team/blue team because science doesn’t line up monolithically for or against scientific positions.” What? Never mind the 97 percent consensus claim that’s been shoved down our throats.”
