Trudeau’s absence is bound to be noted just days after he neglected to name Alberta in a listing of all other provinces and territories in a Canada Day speech, sparking a flurry of criticism on social media. He later apologized for the omission.
Personally, I’m all for getting the politics out of the Stampede but having them there is the first line of defence against the animal rights marxists.

The Calgary Stampede, just isn’t “broke back” enough for Trudeau to attend.

PM FancySox probably didn’t want to go because he realized that wearing cowboy boots would not allow him to show off his socks.
There used to be a gay rodeo in Strathmore just east of Calgary but they went broke back last year because of the Alberta economy.

If the little shit gave a damn about western Canadians, he would show up, he would diffuse the entire “controversy” with humor and then enthusiastically jump right in to Stampede activities. This is not the Calgary I lived in, they would lap it up and he could leave with local media praising him. Liberals are so stupid.
Of course, none of that now matters, because Trudeau has JUST PROVEN he couldn’t care less about what a bunch of Albertans think of him.
Keeping in mind, if he had somehow forgotten to mention Quebec, he would right now be on a two week apology tour in that province.

No one will miss this douchebag. The Calgary Stampede just got a million times better for Trudeau’s not being there.

When this was pointed out on posts elsewhere, T’s defenders jumped in to say he would be WORKING – at the G20. Last time I looked, said summit ended this weekend; Stampede’s on all next week. Were the Liberals the least bit interested in Alberta other than as a cash cow, they’d have managed to stage an event on or around 15th July.
And as for his omission on July 1: just wish he’d forget us more often, particularly when it comes to interfering in our affairs and extracting cash we don’t have. I just thought the whole thing was funny, though his “apology” was rather nauseating.

The big advantage to having PM FancySox attend the Stampede would have been that we know he wouldn’t be giving any money away. Put him in a conference with a bunch of world leaders and he becomes very dangerous. Who knows what schemes he will fall for to give Canadian money away.
