Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Holy hell, woman. When you send someone traffic, you send someone TRAFFIC.My hosting provider thought I was being DDoSed. - Sean McCormick
"The New York Times link to me yesterday [...] generated one-fifth of the traffic I normally get from a link from Small Dead Animals." - Kathy Shaidle
"You may be a nasty right winger, but you're not nasty all the time!" - Warren Kinsella
"Go back to collecting your welfare livelihood." - Michael E. Zilkowsky
Or, as it’s known outside of the bubble, ‘Spring’.
These people are trapped in their own psychoses.
Sometimes you get the feeling that journalists believe the climate isn’t supposed to change.
The universe didn’t provide the data they were looking for. The universe is wrong.
My son and I crossed the Straight of Belle Isle on May 25th as part of our Labrador/Newfoundland motorcycle tour. We had to wait an extra day for the ferry from Blanc Sablon to St. Barbe and we STILL had to follow an icebreaker to get through.
The trip that is normally 90 minutes took 4 hrs. Climate Change was the last thing on anyone’s mind as we made our way across.
As I read the article … wind blew ice from the high Arctic southward … So, both ice and wind are caused by global warming. Oh … but the ice was able to be blown south … because it is so thin … and there is so little of it. If you happen to believe such broad generalizations without any evidence for specific cause and effect. Global Warming – vague concepts supported with sketchy data and flimsy interpretations
Remember silly season? Well it lasts all year now – Maybe we can blame the severe dip in the Lefty IQ bell curve on global warming, seems about right.
I’m not a climatologist, however I do know this. I’ve watched the temperature readings at Eureka Station, Nunavut since 2007. When it’s -45° C, icebergs don’t melt. Their records are on Environment Canada’s web site. Nothing has happened in the last few years that hadn’t happened several times before.

it is most unfortunate that Canadians remain ignorant of reality. I guess the folks in Toronto and Ottawa have never lived where snow an ice are naturally occurring and still do.
Oh, it ain’t just Canadian, my lefty europee’n relatives aren’t overly impressed with my defense of Trump against press lies
Climate Scientists are to science what pro wrestling is to sports…………..
“Climate Scientist are to science what pro wrestling is to sports………”
Well, most wrestlers are at least athletes. Most climate changers are not scientists. ie Bill Nye
Eventually Barber decided leaving the area for Churchill would put lives in danger so he called off the first leg of the expedition.
The law of the sea dictates that the captain of an icebreaker is subordinate to any climate change scientist aboard from Manitoba.
So the thinning of ice is global warming and the thickening of ice is global warming. I’m confused, is 90 below a sign of global warming?
Sask Watch, interesting link to Eureka temps.
The mean temperature for June this year is – 2.9. The mean temperature for June 2016 was +3.2.
So it’s much colder this year.
And Al Gore, the Fruit Fly guy, and the crony wind and solar capitalists are laughing all the way to the bank.
Sask Watch, Chip, – I worked in Eureka (1979-80). In Feb we set the N.A. record for the coldest month…..yes, temps change yearly, and we used to call it weather….now its CLIMATE CHANGE….what a farce….
As someone who has served on CCG vessels for 35 years I can assure you that the Captain of a CG vessel does not take orders from a “climate scientist” or any one else on board!
