“With National Millennials Day, we want to turn the stereotypes inside–out. To show that we’re more GENERATION WE than Generation ME. To transform ideals into actions. To inspire hope for the future. To celebrate the most open-minded, connected, innovative, purpose-driven generation on the planet: Millennials.”
Because nothing says “selflessness” like demanding your own freaking national holiday.

We are the whirled
“…the most open-minded,…”
So open minded that every braincell has freely walked out (not that baby boomers were any better).
National Nausea Day, more like.
Yes they all believe in human caused global warming because they have been brain washed by their teachers
There are now more Millennials than Baby Boomers, representing 35% of the US population in 2015.

No doubt, many of those same millennials will demand that the baby boomers kowtow to them because they’re “paying” for our pensions.
Really? I got booted off a website a while back because I got into a debate with a twerp who had that attitude. He didn’t like it when I told him that he wasn’t paying for my pension because I saved and invested my money over the years and I was living off that.
The kid, by the way, was, at that time, either in his late teens or early 20s, still lived with his parents, didn’t have much education beyond high school, didn’t know what to do with his life, and didn’t have a proper job.
By the time I was his age, I was close to finishing my B. Sc. and I’d worked for 3 summers in an oil refinery. During my second summer there, I worked with the maintenance crews doing a variety of jobs including cutting and threading pipe and replacing valves in hazardous environments.
Yeah, I guess I was being disrespectful to one of my betters, wasn’t I?
Generation We? So much for the individual.

more like the “wee wee generation”
just sayin’

more like “the dumbest generation”…
“’Lou Reed was a difficult and sometimes unpleasant person,
but transphobic he was not,’ Sounes said. ‘Reed was a
bisexual who had close friendships, and conducted love
affairs with transgender men‘.”

I stopped reading the Millennial manifesto at the end of the first paragraph, when I read …
We know human-caused climate change is real. We know why the Civil War started. We know what Aleppo is
Huh ? Sounds more like an anti-Trump, anti-conservative rant by brainwashed twerps who believe they are all qualified to be CEO’s at age 23. The old saying that “youth is wasted on the young” has never been more true. The unprecedented PEACE and PROSPERITY enjoyed by Western Civilization has spawned multiple generations of spoiled children with no clue about the PRICE paid by their forefathers (and mothers) to deliver their safe warm womb of a prosperous society.
I have always found it NO coincidence that Millennials seem to NEED “extreme” sports and activities. They need to artificially fabricate the “thrill” of living on the brink of DEATH. WHY ? Because their forefathers-mothers eliminated all need, all fear, all uncertainty with a stable, secure, environment. They need to INVENT crisis … in order to f-e-e-l alive. This is also why they “believe” in global warming … because they need to INVENT an eco-crisis … in our supremely CLEAN, HEALTHY, and NATURAL environment. They need to “discover” that glutin is sapping all their energy. They need to remove their tooth fillings because of mercury poisoning. They need to stop eating apples because of “alar” … and of course, their meat-free diet will clean their colons of 20yo bits of undigested gristle. And they need to BLAME someone else for their own lack of performance.
Did anyone try signing the petition? I did in order to make a comment and I get a 404 when I press submit. I think Cap fell for a bit of fakery. Just saying.
“‘Lou Reed was a difficult and sometimes unpleasant person,
but transphobic he was not,’ Sounes said. ‘Reed was a
bisexual who had close friendships, and conducted love
affairs with transgender men’.”
Here let me translate that into plain English:
“Lou Reed was sexually amoral.”
You’re welcome.
The mirth of the song ends abruptly when it dawns on the singer that a millennial will, some day, be president.
Gee that sounds like a certain country called Canada, doesn’t it?
We are so thoughtful, caring and compassionate that we will take one day out of the year to virtual signal our goodness. We won’t actually get our faces out of our phones and do something concrete or tangible, we will just tweet our virtuousness. Really, it will be a day like all the others, but we are taking our specialness to another level via social media on June 19th! /sarc
Well, the last thing is to pray for “millennials” me I’m thinkin’ it’s us that needs the prayers.
We heard our parents and aunts and uncles and know what our precious freedom cost.
I have heard some of these twinkies like Juth-tin spout nonsense about our “luck” being boomers.
Luck had nothing to do with it, hard work and commitment to our families did.
England is stuffed as is the rest of Europe.
We went there twice to fight for their freedom, the blood and treasure of the greatest generation freed and rebuilt Europe.
This time they will have to either make a stand or flee or accept their lot as dhimmie’s.
Their political elite sold them out the same way our present Government is importing a multigenerational voting bloc.
Whom the gods wish to destroy …
You know.
What a bunch of self-important wankers.
Well, the last thing is to pray for “millennials” me I’m thinkin’ it’s us that needs the prayers.
Exactly. Millennials have to learn to pull their own weight just like the rest of us did.
In my earlier comment, I mentioned I worked in an oil refinery. During my second undergrad summers, I worked with the maintenance crews. It was hard, sometimes back-breaking, and often dangerous. I came close to being injured or even killed several times while on the job. (Thankfully, nothing serious happened in one case because I happened to be wearing my hard hat like I was supposed to.)
I sometimes had to work outside when it was raining cats and dogs because there was, say, a heat exchanger that needed to be fixed in order for that part of the plant to resume normal operations. We tried to avoid getting wet, but having to wear damp coveralls for a while was considered to be part of the job.
Those were tough lessons to learn during my late teens, but they stuck with me ever since.
Yet, some snotty millennial twerp, who likely hasn’t done anything of significance in his entire life, wants to be acknowledged for his “greatness” by a special holiday?
Yeah, right.
The only person I know that’s happy they can give themselves an enema is a millennial. Bringing self-love and self-loathing into perfect rectumtude.
Show me the generation of 20-somethings that anyone could stomach and I’ll show you Adam and Eve. It was ever thus.
Back in the day, adults organized mass culling of the herds, they called them wars and made sure lots of people participated.
That went out of fashion with our (yuppie boomer) generation. We would not play ball and go off to die en masse, we stuck around to annoy our parents.
That became the new normal.
Now it is a sort of contest among the generations, to see who can create the biggest stink. I still think we are winning, don’t you? If you say no, you must be younger than me. We were the gold standard of obnoxious youth. We were so bad, half of us turned on the other half.
THAT … was funny. And no doubt there are dozens of Millennials organizing round-robin coffee enema parties … to share their personal pain/pleasure. Let’s hope they unclog their shi++y thinking.
