  1. Tuesday, May 23, Globe and Mail. How’s your pet doing?
    https://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/healthy-pets-sometimes-euthanized-for-owners-convenience-veterinary-groups/article35078438/
“Animal advocates are calling for an end to the euthanization of healthy pets purely for their owners’ convenience, a practice Canadian veterinarians acknowledge is an unfortunate fact of their profession.”
Aren’t “animal rights” and “animal liberation” groups some of the worst offenders? As has been noted on this blog.
As I recall, a couple of years ago there was a bit about an “animal advocates” group who, having been willed a fair amount of money in order to look after a deceased woman’s pet, promptly had it euthanized, no doubt to spend the windfall on their own nefarious activities.

  3. Looks like Barbara Kay has been dropped from a CBC program for expressing politically incorrect views about aboriginals. CBC — routinely fostering ignorance in Canada. They should be embarrassed. I don’t think they have any conservative commentators left.

  4. CBC — routinely fostering ignorance in Canada Now there is a bumper sticker if ever there was one.

The Conceptual Penis as a Social Construct: A Sokal-Style Hoax on Gender Studies
The androcentric scientific and meta-scientific evidence that the penis is the male reproductive organ is considered overwhelming and largely uncontroversial.
That’s how we began. We used this preposterous sentence to open a “paper” consisting of 3,000 words of utter nonsense posing as academic scholarship. Then a peer-reviewed academic journal in the social sciences accepted and published it.

Electricity customers will pay $45B to save $24B and that’s the rose coloured glasses scenario. It gets “progressively” worse when you factor in reality.

“In the best-case scenario, which requires the Ontario government to balance its budget every year for the next three decades, the plan costs $45 billion.
Once the break on bills is factored in, Ontarians will pay $21 billion more than they would have had they not received the upfront hydro bill reduction.”
