  1. AR15 – fine piece of kit. White kids – unusual although the female accomplice had a Hispanic name.

  2. Here’s what we will NEVER know … how many more of these home-invasion burglaries this incident will have deterred. See … these “kids” didn’t DIE in vain. They will serve as a coyote carcass on the fence for all to see … a cautionary tale for all would-be burglars (in Oklahoma anyway).

  3. See … these “kids” didn’t DIE in vain.
Yes they did. They were going to be future Nobel Prize winners, find a cure for cancer, or maybe even invent the flux capacitor. (sarcasm = off)
I’m sure some progressive mouthpiece would portray them as such.

  4. How did that piece ever get by the editors without the inclusion of terms like “assault rifle”, “automatic weapon”, or “tactical firearm”?

  5. “You can guess what would have happened to the shooter if this happened in Canada.”
The first question to ask is “Will anyone miss them?” Yes – call the police. No – grab the shovel.

    …is charged with triple homicide…”
well, it’s the law… participate in a crime where anyone is killed
    and they light you up…
“In an unexpected bonus, the getaway driver for the dearly departed
home-invaders catches three felony counts of homicide.”

  7. … but but but … only the GIRL … appeared to be a “dreamer”. The rest were just poor white trash.

  8. See what happens when Bible verses are tossed out WITHOUT context or a full reading of the text ? In this case, the New Living Translation says:
    New Living Translation
For when a strong man like Satan is fully armed and guards his palace, his possessions are safe–
Kinda changes the application don’t you think ? Or did you INTEND to portray the shooter as … Satan ? Either way … it is WHY I, as a self-confessing “born-again” Christian … utterly detest quoting Bible verses. I much prefer expressing the actual PLOT of the verse.

  9. I bet every one of them was an “A+” student, probably read to the blind on weekends and helped little old ladies cross the street.
This firearm is soon to be banned in Canader, too bad as it obviously makes a great home invasion deterrent.

  10. years ago when we lived in beautiful downtown burbankburlington ontariowe, some bloke just around the block beat up a drunken intruder.
and got busted for assault by the ‘guardians of the realm’ aka halton regional police.
the grounds were the intruder was so drunk he didnt know where he was, and thus the beating was unwarranted.
I called them up, got no answer of course, did they not consider that at the very *least*, the drunk knew he WASN’T where he should be????

  11. Some statistics: Citations linked
    * Guns used 2.5 million times a year in self-defense. Law-abiding citizens use guns to defend themselves against criminals as many as 2.5 million times every year — or about 6,850 times a day. [1] This means that each year, firearms are used more than 80 times more often to protect the lives of honest citizens than to take lives. [2]
    * Of the 2.5 million times citizens use their guns to defend themselves every year, the overwhelming majority merely brandish their gun or fire a warning shot to scare off their attackers. Less than 8% of the time, a citizen will kill or wound his/her attacker.[3]
    * As many as 200,000 women use a gun every year to defend themselves against sexual abuse.[4]…………………………

  12. It took awhile to understand why the Hongcouver Sun would re-publish a firearm saves lives story, then it dawned that it’s all about the Gonzales “victimized” by the evil Capitalist System that favors law & order over Social Justice.
Otherwise it’d never seen the light of day in a Canadian publication.
Bet her other friends think twice about gangbanging middle class homes for awhile.

  13. Since I live in Oklahoma, several intertoob friends have asked for my thoughts. Even in my state, the legal system is off the rails. Continuous catch and release by the police, disheartening to them at the least, as the crooks are free before the cops have completed their paperwork. Suspended sentences are passed out like halloween candy. If these people had gotten away, or, if they were arrested, nothing earth shattering would have happened. If caught, they would have been released on their own recognizance, told to show up for arraignment. If they bothered to show up, a date would be set. If they bothered to show up for that, the judge would give them 5 years with all time suspended. As they leave the courtroom, the middle finger would be flashed at the cops.
Did these particular guys deserve the death penalty? Deserve, maybe not. But, they earned every thing they got. I think a large number of people have had it. They will protect their lives and their family with deadly force. If you live in a country that forbids this, come south. We have lots of room in Oklahoma.

  14. I bet they were “just starting to turn their lives around.” A fatal error, seems that always happens just before a criminal gets killed in the commission of a crime.

  15. …and that’s why Americans elected Trump. It’s the difference between self-reliant, personally-responsible citizens, and Canadian subjects who want the nanny state [the Sovereign] to care for them from cradle to grave. Some say it’s because the compliant sheeple left America after the Revolution and created the Canada we have today.

  16. According to Bible Gateway:
Luke 11:20-22 New Living Translation (NLT)
20 But if I am casting out demons by the power of God,[a] then the Kingdom of God has arrived among you. 21 For when a strong man is fully armed and guards his palace, his possessions are safe— 22 until someone even stronger attacks and overpowers him, strips him of his weapons, and carries off his belongings.
I agree that context is important, but where did you get your NLT? Generally, paraphrase translations are not considered very accurate because they always depend on someone’s opinion.

  17. I think you very much missed my point Kenji.
The perps in my opinion got exactly what they deserved.
Adding words to someone else’s statement does not change that statement.
A strong man armed did indeed keep his house and his life.

Yes the gradual domestication of the Canadian public throughout the last couple of centuries is a remarkable sad reality. No doubt it began with the herding of the “Loyalists” north into a bigger & safer pen. At least some of us can remember the generations prior to the late 60’s that still held on to common & practical sense.
The “millennial’s” are left with nothing for guidance, other than what they watch like zombies on a screen.

  19. I can remember when it was believed that widespread computer use and access to more information would make people smarter. The millennials with their i-toys seem to be spreading ‘stupid’ faster than ever before.
I’m glad I’m in the last third of my life on this planet. I’d hate to be in my 20s and seeing the inevitable collapse of society on the horizon. I’ll be long gone before then.

  20. Hmm ski masks gloves black clothing a knife and brass knuckles they were not theres to pay a freindly visit but most likey there to beat up and perhaps murder anyone who got in their way ransock and loot the house and make off with all the valibles they could lay their greedy hands onto well frankly they got what was coming to them CRIME DOS’NT PAY and they found that out too late and they paid the price for their greed

  21. Thank you for clarifying … at least printing out the scripture rather than the ref. only helps express your point. However, you are engaging in scriptural cherry-picking. You’re behaving as badly as Michael Mann cherry-picking tree ring and temperature data to make his erroneous point. Because the verses you quote, detached from the whole passage … ALL of Christ’s teaching about casting out demons and overcoming SATAN … leads to a conclusion NOT specifically taught by Christ. Christ was NOT teaching that men should shoot and kill human intruders … rather he was only using that as a metaphor for how GOD … only GOD can protect men from Satan and his demons.
Now, I happen to agree with your point that a man SHOULD be able (legally) to defend himself and family from intruders … but that is NOT what Christ was teaching. Pulling this fragment of scripture, divorced from its full context and meaning is simply WRONG. And this is the behavior of Christians that repulses people more than invites them to the faith.
BTW it is quite easy to “interpret” this verse … these words of Christ … in ones own words. Christ’s meaning was crystal clear. It is GOD who provides the POWER to cast out demons and defeat SATAN. Christ was not teaching the use of an AR-15 on teenaged idiots. Sorry to disagree … but I have serious issues with cherry-picking scriptures. It is demeaning to Christ and God, and doesn’t further the faith.
