It’s Not Wiretapping When The Democrats Do It

Politico;

Members of the Donald Trump transition team, possibly including Trump himself, were under U.S. government surveillance following November’s presidential election, House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) told reporters Wednesday.
Nunes said the surveillance appeared to be legal but that he was concerned because it was not related to the FBI’s investigation into Russia’s meddling in the election and was widely disseminated across the intelligence community.
“I have seen intelligence reports that clearly show that the president-elect and his team were, I guess, at least monitored,” Nunes told reporters. “It looks to me like it was all legally collected, but it was essentially a lot of information on the president-elect and his transition team and what they were doing.”
Nunes said he is heading to the White House later Wednesday to brief Trump on what he has learned, which he said came from “sources who thought that we should know it.” He said he was trying to get more information by Friday from the FBI, CIA and NSA.

Charlie Martin;

So, this is getting even more interesting now. It appears now that a number of Trump insiders were intercepted, and no, I’m not buying the argument that Trump saying “wiretapped” was wrong, especially since that’s exactly what was reported. And it appears now that people trying to maintain that Trump was “lying” about being wiretapped are being driven to the interesting defense that it was a lie because the U.S. wasn’t actually wiretapping Trump people when the U.S. was wiretapping Trump people.
Which is, at least, good for a laugh.

Judging by the fury with which the media and the Democrats (but I repeat myself) attacked Nunes today, I’d say there’s a there there, and then some.

  1. So does this qualify as evidence? Or must we have a video of Obama placing a bug in Donalds phone with 100 independent people watching? Lock them up .

  2. Can’t be true cause the FBI’s Comey and the rest of the alphabets have said iunder oath t wasn’t happening, even if Big Media reported it was.
Mr. Comey would never mislead would he?
Whoopie might not get Trump to apologize to Obama after all but Fox News might have to provide one to Judge Napolitano. That would be fun.
Drain the swamp and relocate the vile critters to a comfy penitentiary.

  3. James Comey needs to be drugged, photographed with a Transgendered Hooker … and then blackmailed to RESIGN. Wasn’t that the way Mario Puzo solves political problems ?
That’ll wipe the smirk off Comey’s face when he defiantly proclaims that he will REMAIN in his post for another 7 years.

  4. Awaiting this to be widely boadcast on CBCNBCABDCNNMSNBCNPR
Imagine, on Monday FBI and NSA heads deny Trump was spied upon and on Wednesday it turns out that yes, indeed, he had accidently been spied upon.
Does Crony Comey get fired now?

  5. I’m missing something here, Robert, how exactly does one get accidentally spied upon? Was the spier a rogue spier like the IRS rogues or was he/she a spied upon spier that was caught accidentally spying on another spier.

  6. Damn, even a billionaire has to become POTUS to find out how his government has been spying on him.
Pretty scary for those that don’t have a few Billion dollars and a US Presidential title.

  7. This was the equivalent of Obama’s Middle-Finger Headscratch that he employed during his debates.
“Perfectly Legal!” We’ll just legally target a bunch of folks who just happen to be in communications with Trump and his associates! Then we’ll change the rules to allow release of the surveillance data without redaction of un-targeted individuals!
Yup, Obama’s a really classy guy.

  8. Thanks for this, Aquarian. True to form by CNN, when their narrative is falling apart, shoot the messenger.

  9. well that only took almost a week to filter through. Been watching all media for a week to see the info finally come through although its looks a bit spun

  10. This is not a surprise to me… Interesting that during the Senate hearing Re: SCOTUS lots of questions with regard to the Press…IMHO Sedation and criminal conspiracy are a Federal charge & the press is “only” protected from civil liability..
The Communist wing of the Democrats have crossed a bridge leading to Federal Prison (10 years)
Forrest Gump (Little JefF) This is not Russian! Crank up Grand Juries NOW.. Hillary in Jail by July 1st
Real tired of those two mutts on CNN with connections to members of the DOJ/NSA

  11. At least we now know Obama attended at least one national security briefing, if only to get dirt on a GOP presidential candidate to share with fellow Dems.
The Trump haters assume he speaks off the cuff without first getting his facts straight, then inevitably his “lying” turns out to be essentially correct.
When will they understand Trump, despite his verbosity, chooses his words carefully?
How long will they continue to underestimate him while losing, losing losing to him?
When will they understand the partisan rot that is the Obama administration, now under deep state cover?
The Demo-rot is coming home to roost. Why should anyone be surprised at this latest news given Obama politicized every aspect of governance, sending IRS, EPA and various PC hit squads to undermine and destroy conservative opponents and organizations?
How much longer will it be until we hear Obama and his henchmen taking the fifth, like IRS’s Lois Lerner did? Not long at all imho.
Obama’s partisan political Pandora’s box has been opened and cannot be closed again since his minions have lost control of government and justice.

  12. His curly lock on the right side must be wowing the snowflakes. Go Dopey go. The kids watching were in awe. What a man eh?

  13. No no no it was the Russians, everybody sorta said so, we’re just gathering the “evidence” now, the same stuff we never had before.
Funny how Trump’s accusations end up having legs and CNNDems fantasies go poof, but Trump is the liar.
Typical projection to deflect inquiries into their nefarious deeds becoming more and more evident every day at higher and higher level participation.
“US ‘DemOfficials:’ Info suggests Trump associates may have coordinated with Russians.” (my edit for enhanced accuracy)
One of the obstacles the sources say the FBI now faces in finding conclusive intelligence is that communications between Trump’s associates and Russians have ceased in recent months given the public focus on Russia’s alleged ties to the Trump campaign. Some Russian officials have also changed their methods of communications, making monitoring more difficult, the officials said.”
It’s especially a bitch when there’s no evidence whatsoever, in fact we’re talking past tense and it comes quite conveniently at a time when the Dems are about to be outed in the court of public opinion over their election snooping and political enemies activity, along with an co-opted mediocracy in tow.

They will never give up this charade, to the point of inviting jail time as they deny the voters their due with their seditious shadow deep state.
    IMHO they will be “accommodated.”

  14. Trump can replace the FBI Director any time he wishes.
All such U.S. Federal Directorate positions exist at the pleasure of the POTUS to hire or fire.
Despite the protocol which has been in place since 1968 that holds that an FBI Director has a 10 term, President Clinton removed President Reagan appointed FBI Director Sessions 4 years before his term was up.(one single day before Vincent Foster was murdered…what a coincidence, eh?)
From 1973 through 2013, Sessions was the only FBI Director removed from office. President William J. Clinton removed Sessions from office on July 19(Foster was murdered on the 20th), 1993, citing “serious questions … about the conduct and the leadership of the Director,” and a report on “certain conduct” issued by the Office of Professional Responsibility at the Department of Justice. Some Members of Congress questioned the dismissal, but they did not prevent the immediate confirmation of Sessions’ successor.
If BJ Clinton could do it under such shady circumstances, then Trump can do it too.
The precedent has already be created for a U.S. President to remove an FBI Director before his 10 term is up.

  15. Then I suggest Bannon (Trump) is toying with Comey then. Perhaps the Trump Admin is setting-up Comey for a humiliation before “having no choice” but to FIRE him. And take down HER and HER “Foundation” at the same time.

  16. ish. agreed ish but given the tech advances J. Edger couldn’t hold a candle to theese guys and I don’t think anybody owned Edger… Quite the opposite. Where as the Clintons have owned Jimmy for decades but I think they sold him to Sorass.
