The theory is that the mosque may have been taking a strong stand against the gay relationship and Bissonette (and whoever his pal was) decided to attack the mosque. Bissonette may well have been talked into participating. The disturbing thing is that early reports most definitely had TWO shooters — Goldy’s report emphasizes this. The Moroccan guy is now just being treated as a witness, but as someone pointed out Karla Homalka was also a “witness.” Someone high up wants this story covered up.

Alberta must figure the revenue from selling oil to the US into the transfer payment formula, however the revenue Quebec gets for selling electricity to the US is exempted from the transfer payment formula. A long line of PMs from Quebec have made sure that never changes. The one PM from Alberta with a majority government didn’t use that power to make Quebec fairly accountable. Makes me wonder why I voted CPC.

    I was listening to Murray Wood on a Saskatoon radio show yesterday and was surprised to hear him imply that if you have any questions about the events surrounding the murders of the 6 men in the Quebec City mosque you are not only dishonoring the victims but you are some kind of bigot and conspiracy theorist. Therebelmedia has a battle on their hands to get anywhere with this story.

    Now that the PMO has set the precident consider it our obligation to send the PM a note whenever the CBC gets a story wrong so that they can act on it just as they did on this story.
    And don’t forget to copy in your MP, the opposition leaders and most of all the media outlets.
    It may only get you a polite auto response, but any communication sent to the HoC becomes public record.
    My hope is that the opposition latches on to this for future reference the next time the CBC does damage control for PM potato head.

  32. Good old Murray Wood. If nothing else, he makes listeners appreciate John Gormley even more. Gormley should not be allowed to take days off and, if he can’t be there, the radio time should be taken up by white noise. It would be a vast improvement over Wood. To his credit, Wood takes a responsible line on gun ownership however with everything else, not so much. His anti-smoking views are particularly unreasonable and cross the line into fanaticism.

  44. Why is Justice Neil Gorsuch so unacceptable for the US Supreme Court – well he’s racist, misogynist and an extremist – IOW not a progressive/Democrat.
    After all everybody knows the GOP actually lost the election and also stole this nomination from the poor widdle Dems:

    That seat was only open because Republicans in the Senate stole it. And Senate Democrats need to stand firm and reject this nominee — and any others — until Mr. Trump nominates someone who stands at the center, where most Americans are. That person’s name is Merrick Garland. Democrats have done this before, ultimately confirming Anthony Kennedy over Robert Bork. It’s time to flex those muscles again.”
    After all Justice Garland backed unlimited contributions to PACs because as we have seen, and are paid lobbyists for the Dems, I mean the people.
