    I will probably watch the cringe crying and sobbing video that somebody puts together after thou just for shits and giggles.

OF COURSE we can physically-DEPORT every single ONE of them … and let them apply for reentry. Yes, Trump is “compassionate” and won’t do that to them … esp. all those beautiful “Dreamers” who are collecting college degrees in ethnic studies. Yep. “compassionate” … right up to the DAY they receive their deportation instructions, written in a very “compassionate” tone.
    PS … do we all REMEMBER when Reagan gave amnesty to the last round of Illegals in America ? And Reagan and ALL the Republicans PROMISED to SECURE our border ? Do you remember how NONE of the securing of the border actually took place ? Do you think it might have something to do with all the multinational corporations who were in Reagan’s (and every other “genuine” Republican’s) pocket ?
    Well NOW we have a genuine “faux-conservative” who is going to ACTUALLY secure our border … 30 years later … after SO MUCH DAMAGE has been done.   12. Whether this is right or wrong, how is it “racist”? Everyone from Iran would be affected regardless of their race, and Persians are Caucasians, same race as the majority of the USA. Iran is actually a Western country, despite being East of Iraq, which is an Eastern country.
    Anyway, for her to cry “racist” seems like a knee-jerk and silly response to the USA’s plan, whether that plan makes sense or not.

    In any case, I remember this from an Ancient History course I once took: Alexander the Great liked Persian women. He had two, or was it three?, Persian wives. Or maybe it was just politically expedient… who knows.
    Regarding the wall, look for ever increasing cries of “you’re only hurting yourself if you impose a 20% import tax to fund the wall. Mexican imports will go down and prices will go up and you, the taxpayer, will end up paying for the wall.” Look for it. It’s already started. In addition to the Progressive Left, watch for the Libertarians to take up the chant too.
    I’m not buying it and you shouldn’t either. The Mexican economy is heavily dependent upon exports to the U.S. Guess who is really holding the cards in this negotiation.

  20. I can’t be bothered to boycott the Oscars, I just don’t watch them or look for “news” of who won anything.
    They only matter in this one sense, about which I can do nothing: When your society is rich and decadent enough that a significant proportion of the electorate is influenced in their political decisions by the opinions of a specialized segment of the population who get rich by playing dress up and make believe to entertain the masses, your society is past its best before date.

  42. Wife and I have watched Two netflix Films subtitles which were very effective Iran films.
    One was the difficulty the Women in a Rural Community had to have a Community Water Faucet piped from an ancient spring down a steep hill. Naturally it was the Women & Girls some pre-adolescent who were resonsible to carry the heavy water up the hill to their Homes.
    The Film did point out the Terror and Complete Control the Husband/Father has over the Female Family members. Naturally the Male basically sits around waiting for the small Monthly stipend, some what similar to the Liberal Party Oligarchy Reservation Royalty for the ordinary resident. Family rape seems to be endemic by the Husband and the Code for Widows, unless they have strong Fathers and/or Brothers is as a condoned, but never discussed Drudge and Sex Slave.
    The Women do get their Faucet in the Community Centre.
    The other Iranian film was “The Stoning of S—-” i do not recall the married woman’s name which is part of the Title.
    Anyway the premise of the film is a Husband wants to establish a new marriage with a twelve or thirteen year old Girl whose Father is a political prisoner. the Husband is a Bureaucrat who has access to the Political Prisoner father File. Apparently their is Personal File on everyone, even in the Rural Villages.
    The Husband divorces the Wife by declaring the marriage is over. The Village Women led by the Wife’s Aunt begin a protest against the declaration because the only way the Wife will be able to feed & shelter her elementary school & younger Children is succumbing to the Slave/Sex Slave Role.
    The Husband extorts a brand new Sports car out of the Political Prisoner. Every higher ranking Person is apparently involved in some sort of Corruption. The Husband then pressures the Political Prisoner to agree the young Daughter over to the Husband to Marry.
    This apparently requires a higher up Bureacrat to sign a Form to meet the regulations. Unfortunately the Husband has extorted all of the Political Prisoner’s wealth. The issue is then too public and the Political prisoner is executed.
    The Husband still has the car and still wants the young Daughter for a new Wife. He starts a false rumour to move the Divorced Wife completely out of the picture. This solution is Stoning.
    Do you think the Delicate Infantilzed Hollywood Publicity seeking Oscar Voters would even let such a Film to be Voted On?
