I remember some lowlife print reporter had some outrageous quote from Ralph Klein. The newspaper stood by their source. That is until Ralph played his tape. He was never misquoted again. I suspect the reporter moved on to shoveling organic matter.
Love how the “fake news” meme that the MSM had began to use against their critics in the days following the election has since been co-opted by said critics and is now being used as a weapon against them. Very satisfying. It’s like taking over a defeated army’s equipment and using it to fire upon them as they retreat.

It seems that the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s Marketplace show was unable to find a racist Trump supporter. Instead, they hired an actor named Mike to portray one as you shall see. Mike’s job as a racist Trump supporter was to sell a couple of White Power T-shirts along with a “Make Canada Great Again” T-shirt. It was their laughably unsubtle attempt to link Donald Trump to racism.
Around 40 seconds into the video, we are introduced to the fake news actor hired to portray a pro-Trump racist:
NARRATOR: Meet mike. He’s an actor about to play the most uncomfortable role of his career.
The fake news actor then described the role he is about to play:
MIKE: Let me get into character. I’ll say “make Canada great again. Worldwide white power.” Things like that. Strong words. Words that I never expect to come out of my mouth but it is a role.

How soon before the Media begin to complain that they are being tricked into publishing fake news? They’ll blame the evil Trump Administration.

And this has been going on for years! I cannot believe that people are not losing their jobs, or whole networks, over things like this. And one would think that in an effort to compete in an ever-shrinking market, the other media outlets would be all over this…. except most of them have the same “enemy of my enemy is my friend” attitude. Maybe as their ratings tank, they will finally resort to cannibalizing each other.
But this is total, utter malpractice. If a doctor was to deliberately turn a good report into a bad one, the ensuing malpractice lawsuit would leave them without a business anymore.
He doesn’t need that – he has Twitter.
What the media has yet to come to grips with is that they no longer get to control what is and isn’t news. And they are flailing about, getting caught faking and misrepresenting – driving their polling negatives ever higher – (85% in some polls).
One wonders if they will ever adapt (insert dinosaur picture here).
I love what Trump is doing. He’s Blitkrieging the media by doing so much so quickly they don’t know which way to jump. Don’t forget these people are used to a 24 to 48 hour news cycle. By the time they figure out a line of attack, he’s already moved on to something else.
Now that’s funny. In 1973 I was asked to work extra time, we were making rad shrouds for USSR tanks. The Israelis had captured them and were rebuilding them to use in the war:-)))
Nearly all the various media are no longer interested in reporting the truth. They are much more interested in providing an entertainment product specifically crafted for the audience their funding source panders to.
For a long time the “News” from the MSM has been the filler placed between the advertisements, put there in hope that you wouldn’t change the channel while the advertisements were playing. It’s why they try to play a teaser just before they go to the advertisements in the hope that will cause you to stay.
As the old saying goes, “If the content is free, then you are the product, not the customer.”
Why does no one ever mention PBS? The have the most insightful non-partisan coverage and the most intelligent and experienced panel guests. Charlie Rose anybody. I prefer to go non-partisan which rules out FOX and CNN.
