An acquantince said he uses CDN passport when travelling, and IRanian passport to see family in Iran.
No big deal. No US carriers, and avoids US on those journeys.
Maybe I’ve watching too many James Bond movies, but if this sort of thing happened in spy fiction, it would easily describe someone defecting to the other side or a sleeper agent meeting with his or her handlers.

How old is the Minister’s Iranian passport? (how many years of Iranian passport are remaining?)
Assuming it’s a standard 5 year passport, and she’s been using it for longer than her mom just realised she’s not an Afghan… then her prior citizenship story doesn’t mesh with this…

Don’t know if she is lying but it’s hard to believe she just recently found out her place of birth was Iran and not Afghanistan. We need to question why her mother kept it from her children and if she lied on her citizenship application. Serious stuff. We need answers as to why she would keep this secret and why it’s being brought out now. It’s a safe bet this would not be ignored for a nano second if she were part of a Conservative government. Ambrose needs to do her job as acting leader of the Opposition and start demanding it be delved into.

I am eligible for passports issued by Canada and one other country. I know why in each case. I cannot imagine how Maryam Monsef couldn’t know why Iran would consider her eligible for one of their passports, and if she really didn’t know, why would she not be both curious about and suspicious of the reason?
Meanwhile over at the CBC, the lead story on Monsef is that she is “working” on her Canadian passport, the same story from 10 days ago! No mention whatever of an Iranian document or travels to that country. Talk about yesterday’s news, this is a pathetic case of hear, see, no evil as long as it is the LPC.
