Rasmussen has Trump up by 2.

The latest Rasmussen Reports White House Watch national telephone and online survey shows Trump with 43% support among Likely U.S. Voters to Clinton’s 41%. Yesterday, Clinton still held a four-point 43% to 39% lead over Trump, but that was down from five points on Tuesday and her biggest lead ever of seven points on Monday.

  2. I will be shocked to see a Trump win. The eye test simply fails. Upsets are possible I guess. Any candidate with a coherent message would beat Clinton but this guy is all over the map.
    My caveat which excludes Trump’s brutal performance is that voters, once in the booth, will ask themselves if they can stand another 4 years of DEM failures. Out of desperation they might vote Trump. The whole USA campaign has similarity to the Harper loss as a useless, under qualified candidate won.

  3. Rasmussen polls are always different from the rest. Latest I heard was Trump behind by 11 points and dropping like a stone. It’s going to be a Clinton landslide, both houses and the White House. That spells the end for the USA, it will not survive in its present form after decades of a Clinton Supreme Court and open borders.

  4. If Trump wasn’t/isn’t winning, would you see…
    1) The desperation in the media; to the point where they are destroying themselves to destroy Trump
    2) A carefully coordinated hit job by the Republican establishment, aka #NeverTrump, to force him to withdraw
    3) The fabrication of sexual assault stories by the NY Times, who are going to go the way of Gawker after Trump sues for libel
    4) Democrats like Gore, the Obamas, Biden and beaten Independent opponent Sanders wading into the taint to campaign in lieu of HRC
    5) The desperate manipulation of polling, including the ‘adjusting’ of Trump-favorable polls by Nate Silver, to support a narrative
    Their one and only chance to stop Trump came and went with the failed coup by Paul Ryan, when they were unable to force him to withdraw.
    Trump has effectively oblterated the right/left faux-divide that the establishment has conned the world with and is talking directly and unencumbered to the great mass of the normals that inhabit the political middle. That middle has been woke up more and more during this election by finally seeing the complete corruption of the uni-party media complex that is working against their best interests and doesn’t give a damn about them.
    The amazing thing about this election is how this moment in history decided it would spin up Donald Trump to be it’s leader. Every big change seems to coalesce around someone you never seem coming but is seemingly made for that moment.
    I’m happy to be a witness to it.

    But the latest that I saw with the high points was CNN. Yet another service called them on it because the under polled Rep by 10 to 15%.
    LA times had Trump up too, which is weird, cause they are lib as they come.

Trumps only hope is that a large number of people who can barely stand the sight of him show up at the polls with an empty stomach and plugged nose and pull the lever for him, only because they hate Hillary more. If, and it’s looking more likely that the Dems could possibly get the congress, it’s all over with or without the loose cannon populist in the White House. Trump would have no problem doing “deals” with a Democrat congress. The Republican Party, for what it’s worth is inconsequential to his ego and political ambitions.

The only president who had a problem with a hostile congress was Obama, The man has trouble negotiating deals. He wants it all his way.

    I was wondering why the NYT thinks Trump’s p***y grab talk is so demeaning to women, but putting a nude picture of his wife on their front page isn’t.
    Actually I wasn’t wondering. Clinton should be way ahead right now, able to ditch the 3rd debate and run out the clock to victory.
    Has WikiLeaks gummed up the works somewhat by validating what so many thought of her, her disdain for little people & rules, and honesty on policy?
    Given so far we have seen mostly 3rd party remarks, though no denial yet on the Brazilian bank hemispheric open (and green) borders. So why this drop?
    Rasmussen is a good poll with an excellent sampling, but it is also very volatile, even though it claims that actual voter volatility now is low.
    So we will see. Trump should have already pivoted to leadership, his positive message for change, properly controlled borders, not open ones. Proper trade deals, not giveaways & disappearing US manufacturing jobs. Terrorists taken out there instead of refugees received here. Support for police instead of prejudice against them, and ridiculous assertions on sensitivity training. Tax cuts to empower people and business, rather than “fair” $1trillion tax increases that further impoverish and enslave everyone to big government & big business.
    Cue up the next Dem slime. Hillary better hope WikiLeaks doesn’t reveal she emailed, “in the clear,” locations of US personnel just prior to Benghazi.
    There is already an April 2011 email from her about his movements to Benghazi. Why was he there so often?
    The logical inference is such information was received in the open by terrorists. Now a real casualty owing to her carelessness could emerge.
    I’m sure Anderson Cooper thinks alleged groping is far more important than alleged security breaches leading to the ambassador’s and others’ deaths.

  11. Polls, you see, are designed for the most part to produce expected results.
    Been doing polls from Angus-Reid and Ipsos for years.
    They have questions that you absolutely have to answer against your intentions.
    First they set you up with a statement to answer even if you don’t know, then, even if you don’t know they follow with questions to insist that you answer even if you have no idea. The expected answers give you a choice except what you think, there is no “I don’t know”, “don’t want to answer” or any other way out.
    It usually ends up with just killing the window and deleting the email.

    Also, there’s the Catholic story out there, how Podesta claims to be working on corrupting the Church in America, and turn it full proggy, while showing disdain for their dogma and beliefs. There are 75 million Catholics in the US, that’s a pretty fair voting block, it will be interesting to see if the Wikileak of this has an impact. If Catholics see Demoncrats as their enemy, we could see a significant swing to Trump, or they stay home. Either way, less support for Hillarity.
    Or maybe Catholics will vote like Jews, as a block, self-loathing, continuing to vote for their overseers….nothing like a damaging crutch to lean on

  15. Others have said it already; polls are mainly dedigned to tell the people who paid for them, what they want to hear. Hillary is a shoe in, nothing can stop it. The only question is, how many counties in how many states will have greater than 100% of registered voters “turn out” to ensure the result they want?

  16. Rassmusan and the LATimes daily are both outlier polls.
    Trump has not had the lead in this election; he seems to max-out about 1or 2 behind Hillary.
    I’ve still got hope, but to use a football analogy… he is two scores down with 7 min in the 4th.
    IF Trump can get within 1 or 2 in the RCP Average, he WILL win because the average is based on lagging indicators; therefore, a tie in this poll will mean that Trumps momentum puts him over the top.
    Finally, for leading indicators, Nate Silver is the standard. Go to his website if you want to know EXACTLY where the race is today.

  17. What you’ve written is the theory we are hanging-on to. Also, there is a significant chance that Hillary’s voters don’t show-up because they are not personally inspired; but she can counter that with a strong ground game.
    Like always, if Trump loses Florida it is over! I’ve not seen him lead in that State yet. Florida IS the Bell Weather! If Florida goes to Trump, hang-on for a crazy ride.
    Finally, I disagree with you about Nate Silver. I will concede that he is a Democrat player; but, his poll analysis is light years ahead of anyone else in this game. Go to his website if you want to know where the election IS.

  18. I’m here, Dem supporters DO NOT CARE! Some of these people are very smart colleges with technical minds… but they belong to certain demos… where they’ve been brainwashed to thing anything GOP=BAD… even if the GOP nominee is a liberal(Trump).
    The way we are going to win is if these folks ‘stay-home’. That is Hillary’s gift.

  21. Latest leaks from the Podesta e-mails may be seen at Drudge Report and they are not a pretty sight for Clinton supporters. Her aides manage to insult pretty well every group that is crucial to her winning, Catholics (unbelievable) Latinos, Southerners (and her affecting a good old girl accent while in the Arkansas Governors mansion) this in addition to the Deplorables and “average American” people. To be clear these are her aides talking, but they are still with her team.
    And almost none of this makes the Canadian media; National Post in a desperate attempt to deny Trump, runs stories from Washington Post (a democrat bastion since JFK days), but not the Washinton Times where these leaks are posted.
    Similarly the 2 National polls showing Trump ahead today will not be reported here and they do not seem to be part of Grenier’s CBC poll. perhaps they are outliers, but some of the published polls showing Clinton 5 or 6 points ahead may also be questioned.
    Voters must really be frustrated as to what numbers to believe.

    All I know for certain … is that any of the other Republican candidates would be running a conventional milquetoast Republican candidacy … all polite and whatnot. And be LOSING.
    Even IF Trump loses … he has (along with the Russian ? hackers)EXPOSED the seedy underbelly of the dirty Democrap party. Revealed the criminality of the Clintons. EXPOSED a one-party Demican political system. And he has most-likely DESTROYED (good!) the Paul Ryan brand Republican party.

  26. The never ending leaks and the Veritas clips all coming at regular intervals will sink the crime family and Trump will win. His supporters are rabid and they are motivated to vote. Not so much on the Hillary side. She is not loved by most of the dems. She is only there because of intimidation, back room deals and the media carrying her water.
    Many dems won’t bother to vote. They will try to steal the election with fraud, but the numbers will be over whelming on the GOP side. If Trump happens to lose this contest, there will be many patriots who will not submit to the further destruction of America at the hands of the Clinton Crime family supported by the muslim world and skunks like G. Soros.
    This is an existential threat to the freedom and prosperity of the Western World. It’s either Trump or there will likely be war. Civil and world. We are at a tipping point in history, Shit is about to happen.

  30. Yes it’s the Electoral Collage that elects the president, but the people elect the collages and the popular vote is not enough – to win a candidate has to win enough states. Gore narrowly won the popular vote in 2000 against Bush, but his vote was concentrated in some states, not distributed evenly so he didn’t win enough states. Nevertheless, popular vote is a good indication of how the election will turn out.

Hillary has everything on her side: the power of the Federal government, massive voter fraud, a corrupt DNC, establishment Republicans, individual state election officials, popular culture, and the media. The Republican candidate has to overcome all of that, as well as be perfect. An impossible standard and impossible odds.

  33. Electors decide the Colleges for each state, not the voters. You should watch the video that I posted above.
    Even if the majority of voters in a state vote for a particular candidate, the Electors are not bound by the voters to choose for that state’s college what the majority of votes voted for.

    How’d they make out? Sure, Clinton will probably win, the sheer weight of her slime cannot be overcome, but it’s not done until election day.
