  24. I think those spooky stories about Canadian health care are kind of like a dog whistle. Lots of Americans think Canadian Health care is a problem. It is, but in ways that are different from the problems in the US. I am not sure the Canadian system would work down there. Certainly many people do not want it. That’s their choice. It is unfortunate that all that money spent on Obamacare did not go to simply beefing up the public system. Yes — the US had a public health care system, but it was overburdened. Every health care system these days suffers from too many people needing too much expensive care. We have not yet addressed this problem in Canada — so that a lot of expense goes towards elderly people why die three or six months down the line.
