BTN Bites – CBC’s attempt to take over the media world and why it must be stopped

Friday night on my radio show I may have lost my mind on CBC and their arrogance. One of their executives was completely dismissive of the idea that they shouldn’t be competing agains newspapers using tax dollars. Listen in as my head explodes on air.
You can also listen to the radio show live, Monday to Friday, from 7-10 ET.

  1. Before I even listen to Brian’s podcast I am overwhelmed by a single question.
Where are the champions of conservatism in this country? I don’t see any evident in the CPC. Damn, after many years of effort we can’t even assemble a functioning Conservative Party in some provinces.
Brad Wall cannot do ALL the heavy lifting by all by his lonesome.

  2. Reading the Ideas of the far left wonks …Some think CBC & Canada Post should join & become a Communications giant…Like the Post office/Apple store…. Good Luck..I am sure Apple would sell them all the existing obsolete devices and not compete against them going forward.
I recently read the two books by Charles Lynch… Half of his first book was about good reporting & interesting.. after his indoctrination with CBC/UN/AP it was all name dropping drivel.. Does anyone care if female CBC journalist’s use the F word in every verbal sentence?

  3. I say go for it CBC.
Sort of like being the best dressed corpse in the graveyard.
    Take over the Media World….
What as the best liars, propagandists and useful idiots to the Zombie State?
The “media World ” is harvesting their due reward, no amount of taxpayer funds can save our state sponsored Presstitutes.

  4. Many politicians likely took out Conservative membership in order to be part of a winning team in their particular regions. When, say, the Dippers take over, they become socialists.
Some do that for the benefits they can derive from it. An ex-boss of mine was like that. He wanted in on the action and get his seat on the gravy train, so he’d become an enthusiastic supporter of whatever party was in charge. (For example, if the government was communist, he’d out-commie even Josef Stalin.)

  5. “Where are the champions of conservatism in this country?”
On what website are you reading this right now?

  6. Agree with your interpretation of motives almost completely.
Especially when you see how deep the rot of political correctness has affected even the political right. In today’s jihadist world of terror, to witness elected Conservative MP’s say we mustn’t do deeper vetting of third-world immigrants is stunning.
Ed, your point is made. Do you have an inside track on when Kate is putting forth her candidacy? No movement can move forward without vibrant leadership(OK, current Dem candidate notwithstanding).

  7. One cannot act freely until one can think freely first.
A country that is 600 miles wide and 3000 miles long. A country that exists only because the two founding central powers hated Americans more than they hated each other, will never be governened by its rulers in a fashion that is inclusive of its far away colonies. We are not family!
That’s what the west is. Provide some riches but keep your mouth shut.
We can not deny the truth that our reason shows us. We can not deny that we are right back where we were before Preston gathered and then deflected our enthusiasm down a known …dead end road.
We need leadership aright. Leadership like that which is taking the UK out of the EU!

  8. The CBC is a make-work project for misfits and snowflakes …
The only reasons they exist is to promote the liberal brand and hand out money to their friends …

  9. “Where are the champions of conservatism in this country? I don’t see any evident in the CPC.” They have all been neutered by the political correctness craze that has taken over our country. The brainwashing of the current generations in the educational system and by our leftist media is complete.
I was talking to two of my oldest grandchildren today and the AGW brainwashing in their high school is constant. Mao’s Red Guard would be proud.
B, most of our politicians are no different than the street walkers on 20th street in Saskatoon. The only difference is the price of the trick.
Back to the thread header, “CBC’s attempt to take over the media world …”. The left in Canada is just a little more subtle and incremental about taking over the media than Lenin’s Bolos were in the winter of 1917-18. Slow and steady.

  10. I used to live in Saskatoon during the early 1980s and it’s been more than 20 years since I was last there. It appears that the city has changed a lot over the years.

  11. Oh but yes. But just for nostalgia’s sake, the planners like to keep to a 1950 traffic flow on the main arteries. Trucks from Winnipeg to Edmonchuk have to negotiate 42nd St. The truckers can eat lunch while driving.

  12. The only way to stem the tide is for parents (and it will co$t them) is to keep their kids out of the public…no…government schools. As far away from indoctrination as possible.
When parents gave up hands on influence in their children’s education the script was written.
We did this. So today when I send a link to the interview with Sowell…they watch it.
