Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Forever war as mentioned in the article is correct. In fact, it has continued, since it began in the 7th century, until now, with only brief periods of quiet a few decades now and again. The Austrians in 1683 knew they were in a war for survival, our leaders today generally do not realized that we are at the same point in history.
A good history lesson for all.

“The president has come under increased fire politically for his refusal to intervene more forcefully in the five-year civil war,”
But didn’t Putin tell him & the EU to stay AWAY….Picking a fight with the bear is not the role of a little piss-ant street punk from Chicago.
When you have zero credibility, in the World, it is better to sit down & shut up

When I see the word “chronic” associated with Obama … I don’t immediately think of International relations …
Frau Merkel’s whining about not possibly being able to anticipate the onslaught of refugees and the accompanying crisis of 2015, should be considered in a historical context. Consider Germany’s neighbours of 1940 and what their leaders had to deal with; strong leaders rise to the occasion, and it is not as if these migrants were armed.
A strong, determined, disciplined leadership could have dealt with the migrants, it’s not as if she wasn’t warned many times as to what might (would) happen. Still she went ahead and opened the borders to millions of migrants. Germany will pay dearly for her folly for decades to come.
This is kind of a Southern issue. Southern is as in ” I’ll be polite until I’m mad enough to kill you”
Yes, people should get used to it.
If the best people can muster is ribbons and hashtags while bending over backwards to deny the bleeding obvious nature of Islamist terrorism, then the entire world has gone full Sweden.
You never go full Sweden.
