Oddly enough, about the same number “trust” Hillary — Americans’ trust and confidence in the mass media “to report the news fully, accurately and fairly” has dropped to its lowest level in Gallup polling history, with 32% saying they have a great deal or fair amount of trust in the media. This is down eight percentage points from last year.
So, the “people” are finally discovering what some of us have know for a couple of decades. I don’t know about you, but I prefer objective news, not skewed ideological news. Opinion pieces should be noted as such.

None too soon that the public’s trust in the media is at a new low. In looking at the slide in confidence as shown in the graph. I found it interesting that in each presidential election year, confidence fell when compared to adjacent years.
The remaining 32%, who still have faith and trust in the media … are obviously all hardcore leftists who hear their own leftist beliefs and values regurgitated in their eyes and ears by the media each day. Of course these 32% “believe” in the media … of course these 32% are all Hillary supporters, who ignore her crimes against humanity.

I’ve never encountered a Republican who would express any level of trust in the MSM. So how many were surveyed?
The ability of people to narrow their intake of modern communication to fit their outlook is hugely disruptive to serious discussion or change in perspective. Since progressives control education most youth grow through a process of thought manipulation with inevitable conclusions. Critical thought is a thing of the past. Combine this process with a liberal handout of goodies and the combo is undefeatable.
Conservative thought has no tools comparable to those of progressives. This process has been going on for decades and yet conservatives have mounted no real counter. Ultimately the fundamentals of capitalism will reassert themselves. Conservatives like me have felt that would change the political dynamic and yet on reflection my hope ebbs. Progressives have a great ability for deflecting responsibility for their actions. Even in the event of a major economic collapse conservatism has to have a method of conveying their message to people. If they don’t have it now then why should one assume they will invent it during a crisis?
In my humble opinion,the only people who really trust the media are those who don’t pay any attention to any issue until it has become a national event. I’ve met SO many people,especially Seniors,who trust “that nice Peter Mansbridge”,and due to that trust,also trust most of everything else espoused by his employer and fellows.
Any of us political or News fans know very well the media is there to hype stories in order to increase their audience,and anything they say is either exaggerated, biased, half true, or completely made up out of thin air.
I would love to be on the executive of a polling company just to witness how they decide to phrase a question,and most importantly, if they start with the conclusion,then fit the rest to support it.

I totally agree. My oldest grandchildren are in high school in a semi-forested, mixed farming northern rural area of Saskatchewan and they are quite conservative and like discussing politics. The amount of progressive/socialist brainwashing they are subjected to is amazing.
You are also right about conservative thought not being able to effectively counter the progressive (communistic). People struggling at the lower end of the economic scale and even some in lower middle class want to believe the lies promising utopia as they think their lives will improve if the richer segment is brought down to their level. We know from history that improvement does not happen and in fact gets worse and every class loses a great deal of personal freedom, except for those that are more equal. It is almost impossible to counter the lies of utopia. The people have to feel the pain and learn it is a lie, like the Russians did.
Don Morris, a 3 credit course on propaganda I took through Athabaska University in the early 1990s opened my eyes to how they word poll questions or write stories for visual and print media. It is how they use words, certain words and the innocuous subtle slant given these words, and over a long period of time you get brainwashed. Poll questions are often worded such as, Are you still beating your wife? I have occasionally complained when I get polls that have questions like this, but the ideological driven pollsters ignore these complaints as they have an agenda.
For example, that Angus Reid poll showing a huge uptick in PM Petite Potat’s approval rating. We realize the shallow analysis processing of the average voter, and we also see the constant video clips of Trudeau smiling around the country with selfies here, selfies there. These are the images the people see and that is what sticks in their mind and answer a poll by checking off their increased approval. The media and Liberal spin doctors have all studied Leni Riefenstahl.
Trust in the media.
Had a call from a Mop and Pail CSR over a year ago, asking me to subscribe as their rates were so cheap. I told Ms CSR that so long as the “Mop and Pail” continued to be a cheerleading team for Trudeau and Wynne, it would remain as bird cage liner, and I could never give a dime to a commie rag like that.
Haven’t been called back since, must be on the Do Not Call list, can’t figure out why!

I have, however, used some questionable language with other unsolicited calls, such as those claiming I’m running Windoze on my computer right while they’re speaking with me.
I tell them that there’s definitely something wrong with my computer. Every time I want to run Windoze, I end up with OS X, Linux, or FreeBSD, depending on which machine I’m using at the time.
They don’t get the joke.
