  1. Obama math…Not so,Brian. Commie/socialist/fascist math. Thinking about it,these psychopaths use different names for themselves, when they are all the same. And the LIVs suck it up like like a wh0re sucks. As Kate would say,we need a famine,or a well placed nuke.

  2. Seemingly insoluble problems suddenly shrink and fade away, often without much action at all, once the will to act is found. I’m amazed there have been no protests, rapes, taharrush games, car torchings following the closing of several mosques in France. You’d have expected the opposite. But perhaps the Islamist thugs scurry away once they encounter people with some resolve. The Left is no different, motivated by the same nihilism, self-righteousness, and an implacable cowardice. The key is don’t surrender, don’t back down, don’t give these scum an inch. Hit back, and hit back hard. Notley is just a Marxist clown who wants Albertans to feel overwhelmed, defeated, hopeless. That’s what the Left lives for. Don’t give it to them.

  3. I wonder how much will have to be borrowed to pay that many non-producers at the trough?

  4. That’s 47,000 more voters. Alberta, are you ready for two term Notley?

  5. When everybody works for the government, utopia will be achieved. That’s the way it worked in the USSR, right?

  6. “That’s 47,000 more voters. Alberta, are you ready for two term Notley”
Nailed it, Steve. It’s called the Ontario formula…and it works, But only for a while. And the longer it works, the greater the inevitable crash.

  7. Unless the right gets its act together, another term of Notley’s Destructive Party is exactly what we’re going to get here. Oddly enough, the same Albertans who wanted Queen Alison pilloried for using the provincial treasury as her private piggy bank rejoice when Red Rachel does the same thing.

  8. Congrats Albertans ! You are getting very close to how we Californians are living ! With SO MANY public employees … both “working” … and retired (at age 50 with lifelong 90% of Highest [spiked] earning pensions) … that the VAST MAJORITY of our tax dollars go to pay for NOTHING ! No devices, no goods. Our taxes pay DEBT … and PENSIONS. So … if we really want government to do the jobs we are already paying for … like building and maintaining infrastructure. We have to PAY MORE TAXES ! … to get the services that we already PAY TAXES to provide. See how this Socialist scam is driving us rapidly toward a Venezuelan future ?

  9. The unfortunate thing about Red Rachel adding to the civil service is that we already had 2 terms of socialists under Special Ed and Alsison the Red. The deficit was already at $5 billion and the civil service was overpaid by 20 % compared to the rest of Canada. Alberta already had the most generous welfare state in the country. Red Rachel need have done nothing and she could still claim to be the No. 1 Commie in the country. Instead she threw herself headlong into destroying the Alberta economy and she’s succeeding.

  10. Like Ontario, Alberta is morphing into a government controlled socialist state. We are still free to vote but if the government has control of every facet of our daily existence, taxing those who work and those who provide the work into poverty, we are heading into a commie light state. Debt? What debt?

  11. Considering the so called Conservative Party of AB ran up most of the current debt, not the Dippers, one might question the overall ruling class and what motivates them. I suggest that concern for the citizen does not rank that high. If it did there might be a serious fireside chat to clear the air. Stephen Harper certainly never had that chat and now he is gone. As much as Donald Trump is held in high distain his forthright comment whether good or bad is there for consideration and debate.
Global debt is like a Islamic machete ready to drop at any moment.

  12. “Paul Wheeler commented 6 months ago
Yeah, how dare the government try to stimulate the economy by adding jobs and by asking the rich to pay their fair share. We should go back to being dependent on a single industry and letting the ultra rich have their way with us. ”
How many people in Alberta agree with this guy? I know 97% of Quebecers, 92% of Maritimers, 91% of Manitobans, and 87% of BC’ers agree with him, but I wonder how many Albertans?
(Saskatchewan isn’t included as it is home to too many fascist right wing blogs, which causes a derangement syndrome of sorts.)

The Donald missed a gift that was handed to him (Gold Star)…He needs to stop the boring crap and use his media power to solve problems… His brain Team spend to much time in the BAR (Floor) & are aiming to low

  14. If those 47K jobs were in one single riding, yeah, they’d definitely win that riding, but spread all of the province, no that isn’t enough to win the next election.
Additionally, you’d have to count on whole families getting government jobs because they’d be saying to their unemployed family members, “Screw you, I got mine.”

  15. Oh go ahead and include Saskatchewan. It will rank right up there along with everyone else. It’s the kanadian way.

  16. Notley won’t be happy until she destroys Alberta, then will hand it back to the Wild Rose or Conservative parties to clean up….billions of dollar in debt on your childrens backs!! The more Union members that live of the tit will drive people out of Alberta as costs rise. Taxes beyond what you thought personal and provincial.
