Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Neither would be good for president?
Well I guess the Yanks will have to follow the tried and true tradition of voting against, instead of for, a candidate.

The only poll that matters will happen in November. Everything else is ‘mental masturbation’.
Liberals run on raw emotion. They cannot conceive of anyone disagreeing with or not wishing to be associated with another person without hating them. Thus the hysterical headlines and descriptions of those with whom they disagree as “haters” as though that’s an argument in and of itself. Likewise their descriptions of their favoured candidates as people who “care” about others (all the more amazing since they’ve never met but a fraction of the people about whom they supposedly “care”). Give me competence over caring. Unfortunately, neither candidate has anything approaching a track record of competence for the job for which they are applying, although one has a proven track record of abject incompetence, corruption, and kleptocracy and bald-faced lying during their time in government.
I would agree that hate and prejudice have increased in the US during this campaign, I’ve seen a constant and increasing hatred emanating from the left, and they don’t even try to hide it.
They think of their hateful terror tactics as righteous indignation.
But since they wouldn’t recognize dignity if it bit them on the lip, it couldn’t be that.
I’ve said many things about Trump, but I don’t think he’ll bow under such tactics. I think Trump is in it for the win.
Canadian lawmakers chant ‘Four more years!’ after Obama address to Parliament.
Do they smoke dope in the Parliament Lunch room ??
Reply to Fearless Leader.
They actually did that? The reason I’m asking is because as soon as I see anything on television with either Trudeau or Obama in it, I change channels. Which I guess proves my point. They did that, really? What a bunch of farking morons. They make me puke.
Any university poll just gives me gas. I performed a ‘one cheek sneak’ while perched on the right ham. Exhaust went left where it belongs.
Excellent coverage by you of any university poll.
DrD and Dirtman, well said.
Oz, exactly. Trump has thought about running for more than a couple of decades and according to a video of snippets of interviews with him by MSM over that period of time he feels the US has degraded enough that it is high time there was a correction. The likes of Hillary should not even been in charge of the Trustees in a prison, never mind as POTUS.
Fearless Leader, that is not in the least surprising.
“…although one has a proven track record of abject incompetence, corruption, and kleptocracy and bald-faced lying during their time in government.”
The “their” in your sentence should be “her”.
Paul L. Quandt
I certainly don’t like the phrasing of the headline, but their lead paragraph is more clear:
“Democrat Hillary Clinton has 42 percent to Republican Donald Trump’s 40 percent – too close to call – as American voters say neither candidate would be a good president and that the campaign has increased hatred and prejudice in the nation, according to a Quinnipiac University National poll released today.”
AND a but further in:
“The 2016 election has increased the level of hatred and prejudice in the U.S.,” 61 percent of American voters say. Another 34 percent say it has had no impact. Of that 61 percent, 67 percent blame the Trump campaign and 16 percent blame the Clinton campaign.
SO, hate is picking up steam. Blaming Trump strikes me as absurd, but does seem to be the poll result.
