  1. Why are the dickheads prolonging human misery in Syria? If they helped Assad it would be over quickly. How many hundreds of thousands have to die because the moron Obama lives in a fantasy world?

  2. This is the problem with the U.S. foreign policies. STOP arming foreign people! If the US wants to get involved then send US personnel controlling US weopons. That doesn’t always mean boots on the ground… it could be drone intel gathering, air strikes or maybe a stern Obama stare on CNN. Stop screwing around in the affairs of foreign nations unless you’re really prepared to get fully invested and finish the job you’re starting. Wars by proxy should be demonized.

  3. “How long until they are in hands of jihadists? ”
Probably just a matter of hours, and there IS the good possibility some of the recipients already ARE jihadists.
Some of them Muslims are known to lie on occasion, much as that’s hard to believe.

  4. *
president o’blabber is solving the gun problem in the united states
by shipping all these evil killing machines to the middle east.

  5. The bullshit is flowing in Ottawa, hugs from Shiny Pony for the three amigos all around, a virtual love in.

  6. $18,000?
I mean I can buy a military style .338 Lapua sniper rifle here in Montana for $4,000 – $6,000 and they are made in quantity right here in the valley – there are(3) different manufacturers – includes scope and laser.
I can buy a .50 caliber Barrett for $7,000 to $11,000 and that will take out a pick up truck or a helicopter with a well aimed shot.

  7. I wonder if candidate/President Trump is going to come to an unfortunate end sometime in the near future?

  8. How long until they are in hands of jihadists?
Probably half are already jinadists and the others just drop them off at the local mosque.

  9. Nuthin’ but the best fer the enemy, but the local riff-raff shouldn’t be allowed to own .223REM.
Or maybe they just want to make sure the locals are outgunned even if they DO have “assault weapons”. Make sure the collateral damage is MAX!!

  10. For $2,000 or less they could buy a Remington hunting rifle in 300 Winchester magnum and it would do the identical job. The effectiveness of a sniper is 100 % the result of the soldier which is attached to the trigger finger. The military has to figure out ways to spend the most cash for mediocre results.

  11. I said hugs for the three amigos from the Shiny Pony because he was giving himself a hug for being such a wonderful friend to both the US an Mexico. Keep watch folks/

  12. “The bullshit is flowing in Ottawa, hugs from Shiny Pony for the three amigos all around, a virtual love in.”
Yup. There’ll be a ménage a trois tonight on old Sussex Drive!
Hope nobody throws a mirror into the mix, or the slurpin’ will turn to scratchin’ and bitin’

  13. One of the guns used in the November 13, 2015 Paris terrorist attacks came from Phoenix, Arizona where the Obama administration allowed criminals to buy thousands of weapons illegally in a deadly and futile “gun-walking” operation known as “Fast and Furious.”
According to a “law enforcement source:”
The Phoenix gun owner that the weapon was traced back to was found to have at least two federal firearms violations—for selling one weapon illegally and possessing an unregistered automatic—but no enforcement or prosecutorial action was taken against the individual. Instead, ATF leaders went out of their way to keep the information under the radar and ensure that the gun owner’s identity was “kept quiet,” according to law enforcement sources involved with the case. “Agents were told, in the process of taking the fully auto, not to anger the seller to prevent him from going public,” a veteran law enforcement official told Judicial Watch.

Imagine it were the Bush administration…

  14. How long? If they’re giving them to Mohammadans then as soon as they’re distributed they’ll be in the hands of Jihadis.

  15. I agree, I wouldn’t use an AR-15 for a sniper rifle. Too awkward, and a semi-auto sniper rifle is just plain silly. A bolt-action repeater is all you need – in fact, it seems to me that the best snipers use single shot rifles. Maybe that’s just in the movies.
As an “on the side” comment, I have seen a quite a few complaints about tricky, difficult to read captcha codes. For whatever reason, and I hope it doesn’t change just because I mention it, the codes I get are almost always simple numbers, usually 3-5 digits and usually fairly easy to read. No complaints here!

  16. The effectiveness of a sniper is 100 % the result of the soldier which is attached to the trigger finger.
That’s the most intelligent comment in the discussion.
The US MIC will sell anything to anyone. They’ll arm both sides of a conflict if they can make a profit at it. It’s not really a ‘government’ decision, just business as usual.

  17. i once read that ambassador stevens was in libya with suitcases of cash to “buy back” the shoulder mounted missile weapons (against Assad) provided by the state dept. intended to offset the policy of “no boots on the ground.” the article suggested that the cia (who had not been consulted in the arrangement) were apoplectic that civilian aircraft had been exposed to danger. i deny any affiliation with conspiracydotcom and generally have my wits about me – as far as conspiracy theory goes (which is about as far as I could throw anybody at this point in my life) it, at least, had plausibility in its favour.

  18. Gadhafi had about 22,000 MANPADS(give or take) supplied to him by Russia.
    Here ya go johnnyonline
—Estimates vary widely, but it appears that the Libyans had an inventory of 20,000 MANPADS. It appears that the SA-7b seems to have been the most common MANPADS in the Libyan inventory, though there were also several far more advanced SA-24 missiles (the latest Russian design) that were intended to be used in vehicle-mounted launchers sold to the Libyans but that could be used as MANPADS if they were paired with the proper gripstocks and battery coolant units. Of those 20,000 missiles, teams from the United States and NATO have secured roughly 5,000; another 5,000 are thought to be in the hands of the various Libyan militias and to still be in the country. That leaves a remainder of 10,000 missiles. While a number of them were destroyed by NATO airstrikes or launched at aircraft, it is believed that somewhere around half have been smuggled out of the country. For obvious reasons, obtaining an accurate number of missiles is very difficult. Indeed, with a variety of parties involved in the smuggling, it is doubtful that anyone knows for sure how many missiles have been smuggled out of Libya.
The U.S. government[read State Department -my edit-) has designated $40 million for a program intended to buy back Libyan MANPADS, but clearly many of them have already made it out of the country.—

  19. So do you think Trudeau would have had the presence of mind to enquire about this at the amigos gab fest?

  20. Another brainwave from the failing republic. Trump had better win this one, and fast!!

  21. $18,000? Does that include the scope, NV and bipod? $1000 gets you a Ruger Precision Rifle off the shelf, identical in function to the Remmy. It’s only limitation (if you can call it that) is being chambered in 308 vs 300WM. 1,800% markup for the gubmint…No wonder the world is screwed.

  22. … yeah, and I can buy a hammer at the local Ace Hardware for $ 9.99 … but the Pentagon can’t seem to procure one for less than $ 225.00/ea

  23. For $18,000 it must come with some very expensive aftermarket glass. The stock one come with Leupold 6.5 x 20 but that should make it an $8000-$10,000 gun.
Only good out to 1200M probably because its suppressed and 300 Winmag instead of 338L. Not enough time to get too many allahu ackbars out.
I know guys who are shooting home loaded .223Rem in custom AR’s out to 1000M.
